    I've done 7 of these T/A's over the years myself , most were mine. Start to finish. My hats off to you. Excellent work !! I have not done one in 15 years. I'm dying to do another one soon.

    I have this same car with dreams of restoring it but never met anyone or leaned enough to do this kind of stuff. Dang impressive!

      Thats how you flatten those panels to perfection, front to back, top to bottom.

      Super serious. It's called a "skim coat," and it ends up being pretty thin after you're done sanding, but it's how most all show-quality custom paint jobs are achieved. We generally don't do them on factory correct stuff because these cars didn't have paint this nice from the factory, but sometimes customers want show-quality paint on their otherwise largely factory car. If you've seen cars at shows with a mirror like finish that has no distortion, perfect gaps and panel transition, chances are they were done with a similar technique.
