honestly as a Bs fan it's hard to compare, i think cassidy already won long ago and had the middle finger up as soon as vegas hired him- he went to a better team/organization. these knights wouldve stomped that 2019 bruins team into the dirt imo, even the most dominant bruins teams i've watched don't come close to what i just watched vegas do

Knights fan here. Been following hockey even before they came to town, and during then I never would’ve thought we’d get a hockey team in Vegas. Hell, I never thought I’d be around to see that same team win a cup!
Major props to the Panthers, they ran an absolute gauntlet to get out of the east. Upsetting Boston, Toronto and Carolina is nothing to scoff at, nothing but respect 🙏

Stephenson won it as a Capitals player, against Vegas in 2018 as a fourth liner. Then wins it as a Vegas player on their first or second line. Craziness

they got a lot of good players from different teams ,you'll see seatlle do the same soon . ...they have one drafted player playing and there core is aging and there farm system is not that good at all ..they will look like expansion team soon ...but congrats they kind of have to win in this window of time with these players

Every player on the Knights last season earned that ring. Even the players that stepped in from Henderson to play a handful while the main lineup guys recovered from injuries. This team is deep and are still the deepest team in the league. just glad to be a fan and cannot wait for the future and what is to come! Go Knights Go! Uknighttherealm!

The year before Vegas entered the league...the Leafs were dead last and their best player was Leo Komorov. Vegas had the pick of every single team in the NHL's #4 D man. I'd swap out the entire Leafs D now for such an opportunity.

I have watched virtually every game over the last six years. This is a great moment for this team and the Las Vegas community. The VGK's performance on the ice was championship caliber, and they have won the prize. Beyond that, the organization led by Bill Foley is an example of an organization dedicated to the community. Beside their extraordinary performance on the ice, the VGK players are positive role models, loving husbands, and dedicated fathers. Looking forward to more exciting hockey in the future.

Happy for so many of these guys. I don’t cheer for teams, but I cheer for players, and especially the original 6 on this team have been so good. Mark Stone with all he’s gone through. Aidan Hill with his journey from being a top prospect to can’t stop getting traded. Eichel and being held hostage to have a surgery on his neck for a year! Always a feel good night to see the cup get passed around, and no shortage of people to feel happy for.

Ive lived in vegas my whole life. I wasnt sure the city would back a pro team bcuz everyone is from other parts of the country and has allegiance to other teams. Tourism is citys bread and butter. I was wrong. Im not really a hockey fan but T Mobile is incredible venue.its unreal to win a championship in just 6 years.
It's way easier to cheer for an original team not a failure from let's say Oakland for example when what you said is so true about most of us being from elsewhere and have allegiance to another team. I've been here since 77 and will always be a Steelers fan

As a Knights fan and a Nevada native although I live in Reno, I said the Knights were gonna win the Stanley Cup within their first ten years of existence and they did.
Now let's see what happens with the Seattle Kraken in the coming years.

Great celebration coverage. All congrats go to the Golden Knights for a pretty robust goal scoring opportunities in the five Stanley Cup playoffs games. It was nice they won it in their own home stadium. The key to winning was that Florida just ran out of gas in five final games against the Golden Knights. Better goal tending and better control of the puck on the ice were critical factors. It was their moment to shine and they did.

My only regret about Game 5 was letting Florida score that 3rd goal. Otherwise, Martinez would have been credited with the Cup winning goal on the 9th anniversary of his double OT Cup winner against the Rangers.

I am so happy for Vegas and all of their fans. I am just a bit jealous that eichel won a cup before McDavid but it is what it is. Oilers got it next year losing to the cup winners twice in a row especially with oilers players in cup or bust mode they know what next season means a lot. Unfortunately as an oilers fan I lost a lot of respect for petrangelo after his attempt to injure driasiatl. Oilers won’t forget about that and the and won’t can’t wait to play you guys next season. This Stanley Cup was rigged towards Las Vegas. I hate the team with all my passion from as a part of the San Jose fanbase, but as I thought about it throughout the night I don't have anything to say but congratulations to the Golden Knights. I'm not a Kights fan, but I've only been following Hockey since 2017/18, their first season. I'm actually really happy for Jack Eichel, he went throgh absolute hell in Buffalo but now he ends up lifting a cup before McDavid. Funny how things work out.
