ALL 3 Stanley Cups my hometown town has won, I lived in Westminster. After the 2001 Stanley Cup over New Jersey, my parents moved me & my siblings to Longmont in December 2001, but was still at Standley Lake High School my Junior year, but was pulled out of Standley Lake and went to Skyline my senior year. And in my 20 years in Longmont, the Avalanche made it to the playoffs 10 times, only making it to the 2nd round 6 times, but never past the 2nd round. And then work 2 jobs to make my way back to Westminster and then the last day of 2021, New Year's Eve, I made my move back to Westminster when I landed my apartment about a couple miles from the Westminster Promenade. And was watching the Avs entire Stanley Cup run from the Bender's Bar and Grill that's connected with the Ice Centre at the Promenade. To see the Avs win the Stanley Cup again 21 years later, I thought to myself, this was why I left Longmont!

My winning ritual for the Avs' entire Stanley Cup run, were 3 drinks. A shot of Jägermeister, the official shot of the NHL, and then continue with a Coors Light. Which WAS the official beer of the NHL (Now it's Bud Light/Budweiser), and to finish it off with a Pepsi. The official soft drink of both the Avalanche AND the entire NHL! The Jager shot i take is strictly - AND I MEAN STRICTLY!!!... for the Stanley Cup Playoffs if the Avs are in it! And I take the one shot of jäger for every win the Avs recorded in the playoffs until they won the Cup.

"what the lightening have accomplished in this salary cap era"????? How is it possible that the entire sports media has completely forgotten that the lightening won last year 13 million over the salary cap? That should have never been allowed as it gave them a massive advantage over the rest of the teams that made the playoffs. I'm glad Tampa lost, they actually had T-shirts made last year that said 13 million over the cap. How's that for giving the middle finger to the entire NHL?

@@calallen8786 I know, I was just talking about that at the start of the final round and said that the league needs to close that loophole. It shouldn't be allowed. Side note:
When Jon Cooper was making such a big deal about the winning goal in game 4 occurring while there were too many men on the ice, he must have forgotten that in the final round last year, the lightening scored a goal with 7 men on the ice. Didn't seem to bother him then.....

Why????? Can't Minnesota do it just once. James Engram sings the perfect song for us Wild Fans. " Just Once " oh n just to add to more pain, Darcy Kemper was our backup goalie behind the great OVER-RATED Devin Dubnyk. But we let him go just to keep Dubnyks fools gold. I'm out. Congrats to a GREAT TEAM COLORADO AVALANCHE.
