"Do you think you have a better marriage than keith?" "No." "That's a lie." Well, jokes on you ned.... If you think you have a better marriage... NOT ANYMORE.
I know a lot of lie detectors work by interpreting sudden physiological distress/changes. For that reason, they are not admissible evidence since a calm enough person can fool a lie detector, and someone stressed enough by a question can falsely appear as lying. My bet looking back is that he truthfully thought Keith's marriage was better, but being reminded of the marriage he was secretly cheating on during a LIE DETECTOR challenge freaked him out enough that there were physiological cues for stress. In that case, he WAS being deceptive, just not about the question directly.
Another example on the lie detector thing, it is fairly common on lie detector challenge videos to see results indicate something very bad or embarassing that are false simply because the question itself is high stakes for a public figure. For example, a content creator who many fans write romantic fanfiction about may be subtly on edge or alarmed when asked if they ever had a crush on that friend simply because they know the fandom will closely analyse everything said or every mistake made, so they may truthfully say no but the machine indicates a lie. This isn't always just faked for content (some are, not all). Another common one is when being asked controversial or narcissistic things, like views on sexuality, crimes, their relative skill level, or who their favourite friend is, the body may be preparing to defend itself, act rapidly to preserve reputation, think quickly, or deal with mental distress. An LGBTQIA+ ally can still be distressed by being publically accused of homophobia, even when it isnt true, because if people don't believe them it could damage their reputation or friendships greatly.
its wild that ned was always like "im the married one" but he wasnt the only one married?? like he had no personality other than being an asshole and ariel being lovely
I always knew there was something off about him from the beginning of his career. He always felt the like the human equivalent to talking with your nose pinched. Like that Squidward nasally voice with a massive ego attached to it.
My partner didn't quite get why I was so pissed off at Ned when this thing broke in a similar way to how the SNL parody totally missed the point of why people were so upset. This man made his ENTIRE personality "being married". The whole thing. I don't think there's a single video with the guys that he doesn't mention it in some way. He used his wife, children and dog to try and disguise the fact he has the personality and morals of a mouldy parsnip. Generally, cheating is a sucky thing to do - fucking duh- but what dials this up is it was LITERALLY the only likable thing about him. THAT WAS IT! Cuz now looking back at these clips - so much of his behaviour screams of red flags - how aggressive and reactive he was to certain things, the way he sucks the energy out of the scenes, some of the gross things he says and his lack of genuine care towards Ariel. Before his spot got blown up these were all dismissed (at least by me) as overreacting performitive and (aiming to be) comedic way. Looking back with this context his behaviour is disgusting and calculated and [not a doctor] narcissistic. All that said- I truly, truly hope that regardless of how it shakes out for them that Ariel and the children are able to live a happy and stable life.
I really hope Ariel and her boys are doing well.. same with Alex’s fiancé. Looking back, it feels so weird. It was never “Ariel” it was always “MY wife.” He always seemed so full of himself but like watching back you can see it too, it’s like intensified knowing what we know now. Ariel deserved so much better. And yeah why did he always so quickly wanna take his pants off all the time? He loved “I have a wife and children!” Like saying it out loud made everyone believe he would never.. when he secretly was which like.. it’s just ugly. I hope everyone is healing okay. Just so sad
i never understood why people weren't also mad at alexandria. obiously ned was more at fault for several reasons but even if he was her boss like,,,, she has the other guys to go to? idk man
Fr the fact that they so blatantly just went out in public showed that they really had no respect for their partners or anyone around them. She was friends with Ariel too, a decade long relationship with her fiancé, a series with her best friend eating food, and she ruined it all just like Ned. I get that people talk about maybe she was pressured into doing it since power dynamic, but cheating and ruining everyone’s lifes?
I mean plenty of people are but in a post-me too era a lot of people factor in the power imbalance that leered over their relationship; there’s an argument to be made that full consent can never be given within that power dynamic. Also, Ned is the one who said it was a consensual relationship, no one else has. Finally, the remaining Try Guys made it clear they did not want people to go after Alexandria

I thought this would be a compilation of him saying "I love my wife"
I’ll never forget that tiktok that was like Alex and Ned were the ugly one of their relationship 😂
I'd forgotten the whole "Ned loves bad ideas" thing💀
Every Ned moment is a moment that aged badly
SOME of these are definitely a stretch, but a lot of them aren’t. These videos are fascinating in retrospect
2:13 had me CRYING 💀
There’s a new layer to the “daddy’s on the loose” line that makes me laugh harder because now I’m also cringing
its wild that ned was always like "im the married one" but he wasnt the only one married?? like he had no personality other than being an asshole and ariel being lovely
I always knew there was something off about him from the beginning of his career. He always felt the like the human equivalent to talking with your nose pinched. Like that Squidward nasally voice with a massive ego attached to it.
Damn the proof does line up wtf
i just can't believe people will destroy everything for something they already have
I really miss Ariel :(
they didn’t just age badly, he was always the least likable try guy
i mean if you wanted to see him in pain there is always the birthing simulation
I got a ad for a divorce attorney while watching this video 🤭
This took dedication to go through all these clips.
Something Ned knows nothing about.
7:15 how can she so casually read that out?!
Eugene calling Becky to say keith looks hot has aged like fine wine
I adore the Ned bullying it's fun using him as a punching bag 🥰🥰🥰
it’s always “I’m MARRIED! i have a familyyyy😒!” and never “guys I’m already in love. sorryyy I’m committed!” sooo
Honestly, watching this just tells me that I don’t really miss seeing Ned in the try guys…like at all
2:29 “Ned loves bad ideas” does he ever 💀
"i don't know how you don't remember your wife's birth, but I remember it!" 🤣🤣
i hope while alexandrea was reading the sweet section about neds wife and baby they felt at least an ounce of regret for what they did to them.
I've always really disliked Ned, he was kind of mean as fuck, had no real personality
I always tried to hard to like ned but I never could. Gut feelings fr
Foreshadowing, and foreshadowing's family has entered the chat
4:25 has me 💀💀💀
Ned had not even an ounce of personality lol
the clips of him drunk are so uncomfortable to watch 🫠
ned always came across as a louder = funnier and i’m so glad we don’t need to deal with his incessant yelling anymore.
God, I never really thought about how annoying Ned’s voice is
I really hope Ariel and her boys are doing well.. same with Alex’s fiancé.
Just so sad
7:23 Well then it started and ended rocky
I'm so glad I got into try guys post Ned
i never understood why people weren't also mad at alexandria. obiously ned was more at fault for several reasons but even if he was her boss like,,,, she has the other guys to go to? idk man
Fr the fact that they so blatantly just went out in public showed that they really had no respect for their partners or anyone around them.
@@amyeddelman that's true but i felt like that was mainly from a legal standpoint. i don't think people should attack her by any means but i feel like she could've told one of the other guys or something idk, just weird to me lol
True
Ned moments age like a fine milk
This video really highlights how much more enjoyable their content is without Ned.
Here I am a year later, and omg I cannot believe this dude still did this
8:10 no one gonna talk about how much he spent for his mistresses possible bridesmaid dress?? plus accessories
I miss Ned . Not to excuse what he did or that I’d want him back, but I do miss the ways things were.
I want one of these where it’s just “my wife.”
He himself aged like milk
I feel like eugene never liked Ned
nahh they loved each other, they’ve been friends for years
I felt that too for years, but never wanted to explore the idea I was correct.
