MinDA Graces the Opening of the Buwan ng Kalutong Filipino

Mindanao Development Authority Secretary Maria Belen Acosta graced the opening of this year's "Buwan ng Kalutong Filipino" on Friday (April 19) at Abreeza Mall.
The yearly event, conducted by the Department of Tourism (DOT) in collaboration with the Department of Agriculture (DA) and the National Commission on Culture and Arts (NCAA), will run from April 19 to 21.
With the theme "Kalutong Filipino, Lakas ng Kabataang Makabago," the event aims to empower the youth to promote Philippine culinary heritage and gastronomy.
It also promotes heritage dishes with the hope that they will be passed on to the next generations.
April is declared Filipino Food Month or Buwan ng Kalutong Pilipino under Presidential Proclamation No. 469, signed in 2018.
