Wow! This was so well made Alain! A history lesson with the quality of a TV documentary. Definitely would like to see more videos like this. Keep up the amazing work!
Another great video. I’ve been blessed with the privilege of hiking the Normandy coast and countryside several times. My father’s brother is buried in the Normandy American Cemetery (KIA 06/10/44). Thank you!!!
This video was incredible! I visited Bayeux in April 2023. From there, I visited the Normandy beaches and the Bayeux War Cemetery. I miss Bayeux, the beauty, the history.. I cannot wait to return someday soon. Thank you for making this amazing video
This was a breathtaking video. Somber and very thoughtfully presented. We appreciated the inclusion of the Canadian cemetary as we are Canadians in Toronto. We love all of your vlogs & would love to see out of Paris videos.
What a wonderful and moving video. Yes, would love to see more of these for areas outside Paris. Looking forward to the next one. Thank you so much for posting these.
This was one of the best places I ever visited. I didn’t expect it to be as emotional for me to be there. Very powerful experience and Bayeaux (sp?) was a fantastic place to stay and explore. Nice restaurants, lovely charming places to stay. See the tapestry too
@@paristoptipsAnd that outdoor market I think you showed in your video was a standout! My husband and I were there the second week of March, 2020, the beginning of Covid setting in and the streets were almost completely empty. The beaches at Normandy too. The whole thing was super memorable. We went to St. Malo and Mont St Michel from there. The parking lot at Mont St Michel was empty by then and the whole thing felt like a Twilight Zone episode. We had to hightail it back to Paris and get a new flight since ours was canceled due to Covid. An unusual time to be there for sure.
I was debating whether to take a day trip to these hollowed grounds and am now sure that I must. This serious and respectful video brought tears to my eyes. Merci.
A wonderful start to the New Year. Thank you for this new series. It will definitely add a lot of lovely variety to your already amazing content. Happy New Year to you and the family. Looking forward to more adventures with you this year.
Excellent video full of information. I'm going to Normandia in June with my family and I have this video as a reference. If possible, I would like to ask which museums related to D-Day you would recommend as there are several and it ends up being a bit confusing. The trip will last five days. Thank you and keep up the good work.
It depends on what you call Normandy. If it's only the D-Day beaches and memorials, that would be just OK,but if you want to visit other places, like the Mont-Saint-Michel, Étretat, Giverny,... then you would need more days.
Beautifully done & very moving Alain! I always go back to this video when I am in my WW2 mood.
@@lorienmondragon Really glad you like it!
Oh a heavy start this morning Alain... a very moving, and beautiful visit to this hallowed ground.
Yes. I think that a visit to These cemetaries, all of them, should be mandatory to teach people the madness of war...

Very glad you enjoyed it! There will be more coming this year.

Visiting this cemetary is so moving. It always reminds me the last scene of "Saving Private Ryan": "Tell me I'm a good man"
The best video for Normandy beaches. I'll travel there in early August.
Thanks 🙏
Stunning. I cried. Would love to see more outside of Paris.
Thanks 🙏
More to come! Definitely!

Thanks for your very nice comment. Hope you'll be back there one day.
This was by far the best video we’ve seen ahead of our trip the Bayeux and Normandy. Thank you very much!
My pleasure! 🙏
I hope you have a great stay in Normandy...

I had the same feelings!

@@paristoptipsI thought it was interesting too that Bayeux was not at all destroyed in WWII whereas St. Malo was completely destroyed and rebuilt.
Indeed, a monk, Dom Aubourg, having warned the Americans that the Germans had deserted Bayeux, this town was not bombarded during the landing.
Thank you for this wonderful video! Music adds so much to this so well done and thanks again. Hope to visit these places someday.
Glad you enjoyed it! Thanks for commenting positively on my choice of music to go with the video...
Excellent video.
Thank you /Merci
My pleasure!🙏

You are so welcome!
Happy new year to you too!
Beautiful video! Wasn't planning on going to Bayeux during my visit to Normandy this summer, but now I definitely will...
You should! Such a beautiful medieval city!

The 4th day will be visiting Mont Saint-Michel.
Glad it was helpful!
If there is only one museum to visit, it's the Caen Memorial.
I just filmed in Mont Saint-Michel two weeks ago... and then I was stolen my camera in Paris, with all the filmings in it...
Too bad!
@@paristoptips Mercy for the answer, this museum will be on the visit list. Thanks.
спасибо за видео о пляжах Нормандии день Д (узбекистан)

from Canada, I'm visiting France in 3 weeks. I'm wondering if 2 days enough to explore "Normandie"?
