I have been to the Colosseum twice and I could tell they put a lot of research into this (even if some things were fiction - like the sharks, baboons etc.). After watching the trailer I was worried that Denzel would just replay his Training Day character, but he did a great job in the end. I give the movie a solid 8 out of 10.

I agree, Gladiator 1 will always be better, but Gladiator 2 was not too bad in its time where all of the movies are shit nowadays.
