Even if I try to decompose the picture into simple shapes, I still struggle with proportions. Having them right with contiguous elements is easy but it becomes harder to maintain good proportions on the whole sketch. I ought to practice more I guess. Thanks for sharing your work. 👍
Practice every single day helps. Just 20 mins a day can help lead to more progress. Do you draw the same size as the reference and keep the reference as close to the drawing as possible? That makes it much easier.
Thanks for sharing this! It’s helpful for me to understand struggles so I can teach better. This tutorial does skip the basic proportions of the body so maybe I’ll try and include it in my next tutorial and work out a template at one point which will help people practice. All the best Lukasz! BTW thanks everyone for supporting each Other!!!🙌🏼🙌🏼
I haven't made a video on drawing each feature, just on placement. Check out these RUclipsrs and search their channel for some great tutorials: Lazy Arts (has a few videos on all features), Proko (very detailed tutorials), David Finch (comic artist), Mmmmonex (Sketchy style tutorials), Bradwynn Jones (Detailed fine art) 👍🏼
Hope this tip was helpful! Watch this next showing my older method: ruclips.net/video/7aG0zLoSp8Y/видео.html

really try to think in shapes, and how they relate to each other, try to divide lines and shapes in halves, thirds or even fourth

Scottie, have you done a video on drawing the eyes, nose, and mouth? If not can you recommend a site on youtube ?

What ink did you out in your water brush pen Scottie?
I just squeezed a drop from my brush pen. If it’s too strong I poured a bit out and diluted with more water👍🏼
@@SketchingScottie I hadn't thought of that. I know in the US they sell the Aquash with ink in it, but not here in the UK
Long time no see your rough sketch style
That’s right! Good to bring it back in a new way 😉
