I recently went with "The Jack" V4 preamp for direct to interface home recording. Mainly to pull myself out of the counterproductive "optional paralysis" seemingly induced by the endless deluge of amp plugins, and to instead commit to an overall core tone that genuinely "felt" more like the large tube amps of my youth. The V4 did that in spades, and has provided me a with a vastly more inspiring experience overall. It also allowed me to utilize all of my traditional "front of amp" effects pedals that had been gathering dust since pre-Covid! Martin Kid is absolutely brilliant for having designed all of these products (V4 & Pedal Amps) around these surplus, albeit rather unorthodox, military spec vacuum tubes, and after seeing how vulnerable the overall manufacturing and market for traditional tubes has recently become? These new pedalboard amps aren't just more practical in sheer terms of price point and size, as they are now simply a no brainer product for someone desiring analog authentic tube amp like tone & feel, whilst also alleviating all the back strain & maintenance woes typically associated with them. The innovation utilized here is a staggering stroke of genius IMO, and I already have a feeling that my new V4 is just one investment of many toward the Victory brand! Ha! Well done Martin, and congratulations!
This is perfect! Im coming from a Quilter Class D solid state and looking for "tube-IR cab" versatile amp. This is similar to the REVV D20 amps but with specific characters/family. Im gonna save up for the Jack! Thanks Victory Amps!
I can assure you, just from personal experience with my new V4 preamp? That these have just got to be a brilliant piece of kit indeed. I've recently been merely experimenting with it into the original version of BiasFX and only using the poweramp and cab simulations, and the sheer amount of different characteristics I can achieve by simply switching from one style power amp to another is utterly mind blowing! These range of products honestly tick every box for me. Absolutely brilliant!
I cannot think of the lick you did in the beginning, but I know it from an old school smooth jazz song! Haha, always stellar playing and great demo/review!

Hey Jack, Great demo!!! I have the V30 and I love it, but I'm interested in this, but my main concern is the clean Channel. Is there enough headroom to get a really clean sound for funk?
Fantastic demo/playing. I have a pedal board with a built-in channel switcher which allows me to have an amp channel with effects in a preset by connecting a TS cable between the board and the channel switching jack in the amp. I'm so used to this....can you channel switch The Jack V4 with a TS cable?. I don't really need amp reverb. I have a reverb pedal and I can also add it in post.
