    The Peloton Tread and NordicTrack 2450 are some of the most popular treadmill models on the market. They both have streamlined designs and feature subscription workout content on the touch screens.
    While both have similar footprints, the Peloton Tread is slightly smaller and lighter, however, the NordicTrack folds up. This is huge especially if you’re short on space. Both move with their front transportation wheels and both can handle users up to 300 lbs.
    Where these treadmills differ are the motor and deck. The NordicTrack 2450 has a 3.6 HP motor while the Peloton Tread has a 3.0 HP motor. Both can handle walking, jogging, hiking, running, and sprinting, but we prefer the larger motor on the NordicTrack, especially for heavier use like long-distance running. The 3.0 HP motor is usually the smallest that we recommend for running.
    The Peloton Tread also has a smaller running surface that is 20” x 59”. The NordicTrack has a 22” x 60” long running surface. We don’t notice a difference in the length and both are suitable for pretty much all users, but the extra 2” of width on the NordicTrack makes a difference for larger users and those who want more space to move on. The cushioning is softer underfoot on the NordicTrack as well. This makes it very comfortable to use, especially for running. The Peloton Tread has firmer cushioning that feels more similar to lower-end, cheaper treadmill models.
    The quick touch buttons and pivoting touch screen on the NordicTrack really make it functional and user-friendly compared to the non-pivoting screen and minimal buttons on the Peloton Tread.
    Both of these treadmills have subscription workout content on the screen that requires an additional monthly fee. NordicTrack uses iFit which offers thousands of trainer-led classes filmed indoors and out. iFit really shines with its indoor classes and features like Google Maps and SmartAdjust.
    The Peloton App features live and on-demand trainer-led classes that are primarily filmed indoors. Their outdoor classes are slowly growing but nowhere near to the amount that iFit has. Peloton really shines with its indoor studio classes because of the music and the instructors, but Peloton doesn’t have features like Google Maps or SmartAdjust on the Peloton Tread.
    Overall, we recommend and prefer using the NordicTrack 2450. It is more affordable, has more functionality, softer cushioning, larger running surface and motor, and it folds up. iFit also offers thousands of interactive outdoor workouts. The Peloton Tread is great if you are a diehard Peloton fan and want a treadmill that displays the brand’s content. Overall though, our pick is the NordicTrack 2450 it is one of our top recommended treadmills and found on our best treadmill list at TreadmillReviewGuru.com as the best treadmill for running.

    I bought a Peloton Tread SPECIFICALLY due to the horrid customer service of Nordic track. It’s been a great experience so far and the one issue I had was easily diagnosed and solved without the headache that I may have gotten with Nordic Track.
    Also the Peloton does have the auto incline functionality now as part of their latest update.

      It is obvious, when a company has more customers, communication is a little more difficult, that happens with all the most prestigious companies, but Nordictrack is much better in all the operation of the machine and quality, Thank you.

      Same thing here, I was torn ordered the Peloton first and was having buyers remorse, they cancelled it no problem. Then ordered the Nordic Track, thought I made a a good decision until looking through the app, and they do not offer live races and the customer support is terrible. The reviews seem to be incentivized and if the reviews actually reflected the product, I would say NordicTrack is on the decline. The iFit interface is very unorganized and outdated. Based on the interaction I had with Nordic Track (all 12 hours from placing the order to cancellation), I didn't want to be associated with them for the lifetime of my treadmill. Cancelled it prior to shipping and they charged me $600 for it just not to show up at my door. Went with Peloton after this even after having to pay $600 to cancel NordicTrack, and I'm so PLEASED. Game changer, it's amazing. Their customer service is fantastic. Pretty much you get what you pay for, if you don't want Peloton I would recommend getting a high end tread and using a tablet, or anything other than NordicTrack.

    NOTE: This product works exactly as described. ruclips.net/user/postUgkxguEIMc_Qwab-3QMTpF6jaRL80hiOOsIN It originally earned a four-star review due to a minor defect (see below). However, the manufacturer's customer service rep (Lita) went above and beyond the call of duty and deserves five stars now. I wish I could give even more!I purchased this item which arrived quickly. Assembly instructions were easy to follow. There was only one problem: One bolt did not screw into the hole properly. I called the company. Their customer service rep (Lita) was terrific! She took all my information and submitted a request to replace the defective part. I'm hoping to finish assembly and start using this treadmill soon. (Fingers crossed...)FOLLOW UP: Lita called back to inform me that the company will send a replacement part AND a technician(!!) to install it properly. AMAZING CUSTOMER SERVICE!! Thank you!!

    I bought the 2022 model of the 2450 in June. Four months into it, the treadmill began stopping mid-runs. It would completely shut down. Not a power issue from my house. It's the machine that just shuts off and comes to a dead stop. So dangerous. 2 months after making my first call to Nordictrack, I finally got all the parts and the service guy came and swapped out every motherboard. We ran a test...and it failed again, just like before. Total waste of money. Yours will not be special...it will break. I weigh 160. This motor shouldn't be "bogging down,"...but that's clearly happening. I wish I could go back in time and buy the Peloton. Hope this helps someone.

    Hi, I love your videos and really could use some advice. What would you recommend for a 320lb user? I’m on a 2nd floor apartment so something quiet. I only want to do inclined sped walking, no running, maybe running when I get to 200-250 lbs. something that is very sturdy. But also not too heavy since I’m on the second floor. So yes if you can give me a few options on a treadmill that will hold 325-350lbs, 2nd for friendly, inclined sleep walking, quiet. That would be great! Please let me know ❤️

      We are heavy in our house one over 340 lb. We purchased a Soul F80 similar to Nordic in 2010. We have had it serviced once for the dust build up under the belt a few years ago by a business that services the people who do the commercial treadmills at the gym. We call it the beast because it so heavy. So think about these factors ~ if you get a Nordic/ Soul are more meatier as I call it. If you are unsure where this should be placed, a corner of a room is more study support wise. Peloton is slightly noisier. Very hard to resell a Peleton I read by one guy who said you have to sell the package and that is where it gets sticky. Take note, the Peloton can not be moved ~ you can hear about this on this video ~ it does not go up. Nordiac/ Soul (no matter whatever number) the tread can be lifted with ease and it moves easily too.
      Other note, get it delivered and set up by the delivery people. We made a mistake and had it put in our basement and Sears Canada had packed up. I listed the job on Kijiji (free buy and sell website) and got a guy who used to work for Sears doing this job of setting it up.
      So it is in our living room in front of the TV and stereo in a corner. Hope this has been of help(?) The other bonus is when you go for a walk outside on the road, it is not the same as a treadmill. Walking you can slow down, or trip, advise weather (in our case, hail, downpours of rain and snow ~ Toronto, Ontario, Canada). So we can walk in temperature controlled environment, any day or night. If anyone trips over, the safety key will fall out with us attached to it and that will automatically stop it. Peleton only thought of this after that accident. I like the quiet, soft tread belt. Best of all I have lost 50 lbs and losing more still. Glad we got this Soul and didn't buy into the Peleton who have been recently purchased by Barry McCarthy (CEO of Next Flix) from founder John Foley. The company has never recovered from that USA child accident where they child died being dragged under it. Too light weight if it can do that. Best of luck and that is my opinion. :~)

When I use Technogym Skillrun treadmill with 25% incline at the gym I don't get any back pain, but when I'm using Peloton Tread at home with 12.5% incline I get lower back pain and pressure. @@jordanwright5795 can I ask what happened?

    • @jordanwright5795
      @jordanwright5795 Год назад +4

      @@Button607 Absolutely. We had ordered a NordicTrack a couple years back. It came with iFit sort of locked in and we had to jump though a bunch of hoops that involved calling with long waits on hold to finally use it as a regular treadmill to run on without having to buy into their subscription service. Annoying but not a huge deal.
      Definitely however an indicator of how this company operates as a money grab without any care for their customers convenience as they made it so hard to separate the subscription from the actual hardware you purchased. They want to force you into a monthly subscription by making it so difficult to use the treadmill without the monthly iFit subscription.
      Ok I digress but the real problems started 1 year into the owning the treadmill. Ours would stop if I changed the speed beyond 7 - occasionally I would get lucky and be able to dial in an 8. Finally it just quit. We regularly maintained it with silicon spray lubricant, my wife and run a lot but she weighs 100lbs and I’m 160 so we are not pushing the machine that hard. It took almost 2 months to get them to honor the parts agreement that it was still under. In that time we decided to get another treadmill. Not wanting to get another NordicTrack I opted for a Proform machine. Unfortunately I did not realize they were the same company. To my absolute horror when the new treadmill arrived and I started to assemble did I finally realize they are the same company.
      Being that it was already there I reluctantly decided maybe the first one dying after a year just was a fluke and this new treadmill would be different. WRONG - after 1 week it’s started to do the same EXACT thing. I called them and said the machine is defective I want to send it back - I was told that a ticket would need to be made in order to determine the problem before we could be refunded without having to pay out of pocket for shipping to return it which is not cheap on a treadmill.
      iFIT strung us along for the next 3 and a half weeks before determining that it was a faulty main board. They said they can send another main board out that I could install but the part is backordered I told them I don’t want the part I want a refund which at that point they told me I was out of the 30 day return trial offered. I was pretty burnt on at this point and I told them had they responded in a timely manner if still be able to return it. Intentional and shady business practices paired with poor workmanship and quality. It took an additional month to get the part.
      Everyone except for one tech I spoke to from their company was apathetic and and seemed like they couldn’t be bothered by the issues we had been having. Just a bad deal and a horrible company all the way around.

      @Button607 Год назад +2

      @@jordanwright5795 wow I had no idea they were the same company. Sorry about what happened to you guys and everything it cost you guys. That is extremely frustrating as a customer because you spent so much money buying a product and they don’t take care of their customers. After a long time of research and watching videos, I ended up buying a peloton treadmill and had one issue with it and called the customer service. It took about 15-20 minutes to get ahold of someone on the phone which wasn’t too bad for me and got the issue fixed within a few days. A service person also came to my house for free. I’ve had a peloton bike + since may 2022 and I started hearing a rattling noise last month. I called peloton and they had the part ordered to my house and had a service person come to my house to repair it for free and everything was taken care of within 4 or 5 days.
