How wonderful to finally find someone on you tube who can simplify recorder playing especially for adults! Im 60 and just starting off at the beginning thanks to you for making it abit easier for me.
Hello. Just got your handbook on alto recorder and with these videos it's just fantastic. I don't have a recorder teacher in my vicinity so I learn on my own. It's going to be a long journey, but it brings me a lot of joy. Thank you
I bought my new Yamaha alto recorder two weeks ago and am loving it! I agree with the other commenters, what a wonderful resource! Following along on RUclips and have just bought the eBook, a very reasonable price too given the scale of the content. Thank you!! 🙏
I downloaded your e book sir. Now I am gradually learning with your youtube instructions. I am so much happy to have come across you on RUclips. I really appreciate your effort and contribution to music. Wish you best of luck and healthy life. Keep up the good work ❤🎼🎶
I appreciate your books and instructions. So much to learn! I practice everyday and try not to get discouraged. I can look back and see improvement, but wish I could make the progress improve faster. Thank-you!
the progress has its time, its rhythm, sometime it seems that we are learning nothing but it is never true, we learn all our life and our progress are like the steps of a large scale, we remain flat for a long time and then suddenly find ourselves at a higher level
Two days ago driven by my passion for music I bought an Aulos NO 309-E from a second hand... I didn't understand how should I play this instrument, neither if it's an: alto, tenor, soprano or bass recorder. I searched a good amount of time for relevant information but all the tutorials for recorders were for soprano and didn't match for my case: the Alto Recorder, I finally made it. Thank you for sharing and helping us to learn this nice instrument.
@@unagondolaunremoYes, it is indeed. I already learned from your videos to play: C, D, E, F, G, A but the B I didn't find in any of your videos. I just bought the PDF version of the method book a few days ago, and wanted to say thank-you for the great material and all the accompanying videos! I haven't played recorder since my childhood (a few decades ago) when I had a soprano and a sopranino/piccolo recorder, and this material is helping greatly with learning. I see a tenor recorder in my near future, too. Ah, I'll probably end up with one of each, but for now I focus on the alto since it seems to sit right in the middle of the recorder family. :)
Thank you so much for making such a well constructed course at a generous price, and providing video notes and advice. As someone who has been a musician for 20 years, and have read different method books for other instruments, but your book is so well planned out and logical compared to many other books which teach an instrument. I also bought your book of scales and arpeggios for Alto Recorder. Once I have practised enough, and improved, I will definitely buy your other books on repertoire. You sir, are a treasure. Thank you.

The alto recorder: a comprehensive new method
What is the alto recorder book called? Thanks!
The alto recorder: a comprehensive new method, author aldo bova, publisher lulu.com
I have a small and will I be able to reach for the notes on an alto
Zoe small hand
yes, normally also little children can play alto, the problems arrive with the tenor recorder
The best!
!! :)
Molto interessante l introduzione storica sullo strumento .. è un peccato che in Italia , ci sia molta ignoranza su questo strumento, considerandolo uno strumento a volte giocattolo per bambini delle medie ..
l'ignoranza genera mostri

tarde o temprano voy a escribir uno
Ok.....está bien... gracias
I already know how to read music, is your book worth it for me?
yes
@@unagondolaunremo ok, thanks :)
You've made a mistake by saying its a G when its a C 20;49 in
yes, i did a lot of mistake with my horrible English!
14:17, you made a mistake, isn't it Do, C?
yes! for me these letters are so difficult, and G is the position of this fingering for soprano....
@@unagondolaunremo yes :D I am from Greece here we say "do, re, mi, fa, sol, la, si" too
Very interesting method, but sorry... your English is just toooooo bad... Maybe you could consider speaking in Italian and put English subtitles? :) Thank you!
hai ragione,
That is perhaps a bit harsh! As an English speaker I'm enjoying these videos very much and the calm, enthusiastic and erudite delivery of the content.
@@petertyson4572 thank you for your help, Peter!
Certo sarebbe bellissimo poter seguire i suoi video in italiano :)
