I LOVE that the crowd is so appreciative and INTO it. These talented performers certainly do not get that kind of feedback in the theater atmosphere. I'll bet they loved performing there.
No other disney song gets me other than Circle of Life. Just love it, absolutely love it.

I unfortunately have never actually seen the broadway musical itself. But I have always been blown away by the design for the costumes and the animals. It's not trying to fool you into thinking that the actors are animals, it's trying to acknowledge the essence of the character or creature and bring it to life
I remember watching this performance with my grandfather. He doesn't speak English, but he loved it which says so much about how great art can translate across all sorts of barriers!
This snippet was awesome but everyone, you need to see it live!!! It's gorgeous!!

I am 27 and I was 21 when my friend took me to NYC for my bday to see this, I was soooo happy, I even cried in the opening scene when all the animals were coming to the stage, I would see this every year if I could.

This is amazing. I live in NYC and even as a local this show is breath taking. It appeals to every audience.
This is the one Broadway show that will Blowww you away and have you crying in tears of joy and sadness and joy again with a great splash of comedy all throughout the entire night!!! And not just once but EVERY SINGLE TIME YOU WATCH THE SHOW NO MATTER HOW MANY TIMES YOU HAVE SEEN IT!! Yes Im talking from experience!! Haha!! The Lion King is the most incredible and beautiful broadway show of all time and going into their 20th anniversary this Nov!! Sooo excited!!! If your in NYC Make sure you find a chance to go see this amazing performance!!!
I watched the musical in Tulsa, OK. And as soon as the woman did the intro fro Circle of Life, I cried my eyes out. I had never cried that hard in my life, and I still can't watch it with out crying. It is just a beautiful show, its not even a show. It's an experience.
When i c anything dealing with a live performance of the lion king i cry cause its my childhood coming to life. I saw the live show in orlando animal kingdom and couldnt stop crying.
I know this isn't the theater, but I wish the audience would hold the applause until the performance is over. How can anyone hear the music?
That feeling you get when watcjing them come down the audience when your at the theatre is amazing.I watched this show 4 times and it was always my fave part at the beginning watching them walkl down the isles as these wild and beautiful animals.
