They knew the state they were releasing the game in. It sucks that the corporate overlords are forcing these dev teams to eat a lot of hate and controversy, just to make a release date that these dev teams have no control over, and know it won’t be fleshed out in time
These devs are amazing, I hope we can spread the word about how amazing the devs are, and I bet they are on our side when it comes to the releasing stuff. These devs are so insanely skilled!
Thankfully, I think a good portion of the fan base knows it's not the devs at fault. Definitely been seeing a lot of people clarifying they have no anger towards the devs, but to the decision makers forcing a game to be released before it's ready.
Them acknowledging the uproar that happened with the DLC is something I didn't expect. Most companies would shrug their arms and release another. Frontier listens, they really do.
I dont see an issue with the DLC. It’s just a plea for donations really. If you see it that way, you buy it. If not, leave it, it’s not a must have rides dlc.
They always have! It’s why I could never understand the backlash. The DLCs have always been to support the game not to improve the game. This time around I shan’t buy the DLC because I do disagree with how it has launched but I absolutely will buy it at a later date when frontier have fixed things
I do so appreciate them improving, but it does further highlight that the game was basically released in an unfinished/unready state because the company needed the money. Which is very uncool. Also the deformation and curved bottoms look good, but that doesn't yet confirm that physics which properly be applied along the course of the ride. It's really bad looking on the rapids rides too
Frontier is clearly in a bad financial state that they needed to hit their release window. For all we know is that if they had waited like some are screaming they should have, they might have closed up shop in 3 months. Pus they may have a smaller team then what was used for PC1 and PZ.
@@jasonkloos6348 Yes, that deadline is the economic year. They needed a win in the profit column. Let's not pretend this released when it did for anything other than a financial reason. It sucks that Frontier were even in that position, but it is the harsh reality. The fact they released paid DLC one month later, only adds to that. I love Frontier, but let's be honest here.
Now THIS is the complete overhaul that I was saying they needed! I'm actually kinda surprised that they made this announcement so early. I wasn't expecting an announcement like this until at least several months from now... if ever. One thing you forgot to mention was that Frontier is _also_ going to replace the flat bottoms in the slides with round bottoms, which is EXACTLY what they need to do! It's the one thing that currently makes any serious improvement to the tube & raft slides impossible, including any sway & physics improvements. Now the only question is...are they going to retroactively update the slide models currently built in every single park in the game, or will these be brand new flume types while the old ones are kept for legacy purposes? I still believe the latter would be easier and cause far less issues than the former. On a side note, I noticed since 1.1.0 that the log flume logs move a lot better now. They used to glide along fixed in the center of the flume with no bobbing or interacting with the sides of the trow. Now they are working again just like they did in PlanCo1! (Their water texture is still bad, however.)
Of course! It's the publishing side of the company! These devs are clearly so talented and passionate! Thanks for sharing the word! We need to make the community more positive again! ❤
Why are we having them fix flume physics when there's 100 more important things that need to be included or fixed? Hey, the game is crashing for a bunch of people and we can't delete water in the DLC, BUT WE NEED REALISTIC FLUMES!
This is why I like frontier above most other game studios. They genuinely want to create a game for the community and can’t accept responsibility when they’ve messed up and seek to actively rectify it quickly. They are keeping this genre, and dev integrity, alive. They could so easily sink the genre but we’re blessed to have people who listen to and respond to the community. I respect the team at frontier. It’s such a shame that the devs are even put into this position to begin with because of corporate greed. I hope one day video games won’t have this uphill battle anymore.
@0:16 What? The person that has been playing these games for more than 5 years, who enjoys design and building things, and who has been making loads of content containing both hype and critisism of those games that he enjoys, could possibly be GENUINE instead off a massive sellout? Lol this is the internet nobody is genuine here we’re all just bots you know that, fellow AI generated comrade.
Looks great so far. In addition to other bug fixing/performance and quality of life issues, I hope they are able to give us scalable tower rides again.
i know it’s never the devs fault. it’s the greedy managers. the accountability was refreshing to see, as many companies can’t even do that.. but actions speak louder than words. the bad launch was strike 1, update 1/dlc was strike 2… hopefully they can reel everything back in
They keep focusing on flumes and rafts and ignoring really fundamental issues. As far as I'm concerned the flumes are a minor cosmetic issue that can wait, while the UI and controls issues are really important.
The water park side of PC 2 is the major selling point, people have been wanting them nearly from day one of PC 1, so i can understand why they are so focused on that. Do i like that they are ignoring everything else (at least publicly, who knows what they are saying in the office)? No i don't.
@@2freeIvX All i'm saying is the public priority is on flume improvements while other things are being pushed into the background. We don't know, and will never know, what they are working on until they tell us.
@@Kaneanite The UI and controls issues affect everyone, the people that want waterpark stuff, the people that don't really care, the people that care a little.
@@BH-xe7nb The sad fact is UI doesn't sell games, water parks do. You can get use to and work around bad UI design, but you can't work around a broken core feature of a game, so Frontier's priority is flume improvements and bug fixes.
Tbh i dont even want them to give me anything at the moment except for fixes :/ ive played 410 hours so far and keep encountering bugs, some of which really break the fun a bit at times
@@starryagent9936 Minor correction; They said they will be working on free content updates. They did not say that would be the ONLY thing they'll be working on, so be expecting paid DLCs alongside of the free updates as they do with Planet Zoo.
I'm very sorry, but you seem to have missunderstand what this is. It is not a overhaul of any physic used to move along the flume, it is just a visual update for the seater that will wrap around the tube and not be a static mesh anymore. At least not yet. But thank you for the update, happy holidays all
Rudi forgot to mention though that Frontier said they will _also_ be changing the slides themselves so that they are round instead of flat, which is _huge._ The main physics of going down the slide will likely stay the same, but fixing the design of the slides to make them round allows them to at least have the tubes sway horizontally like the Flying Turns does in PlanCo1. That horizontal sway is what ultimately creates the "physics" of a slide or bobsled coaster in these games, which is what most would expect to see in the first place instead of what we got at launch.
Flume physics is fun and all, but there are still major mistakes that make buiding very tedious. Still can't properly set new key bindings, the fact that you have to change the camera mode if you want to snap things to the ground. The stick to surface tool pops in when you want to allign the surface and canceling allign to surface doesnt stop the stick to surface. the annoying grey ruler that appears when you move something and blocks your view should be a toggable option,. These thing really decrease gameplay massively. Hope they fix these things, I need 2 different keys to rotate 90 degrees and rotate freely, its horrible. Game has so much potential
Dude can we just be happy about them doing a good thing for once, the game is in an amazing place right now, enjoy it, and if you don't go complain in fitting videos, please
Thanks for doing this video Rudi! I watched Frontier's video when it aired and was impressed that they acknowledged the issue. Is the game perfect? No. But, they did state the flume changes are just one of other changes they're working on. I'm excited to see what's to come in the free download and the updates.
I got an surprise update yesterday with no info at all for console edition of the game. You or anyone knows what it contained? Cant find any info on it.
I think the DLC thing was over blown. No one was forced to buy it. There was nothing in it that was needed to make the bug fixes work. If you wanted it, great, pay up or wait 3 to 6 months after they patch the game more. People acted like it was forced on them.
The outrage was more than justified. The game was rushed and released in a clearly unfinished state. The day 1 dlc and now the new dlc just a month after release with rides that should of been in the base game. Then there is the price, Planco 1 had DLC for just $1 more and it included hundreds of scenery pieces, new rides, new themes etc. Frontier got greedy and it backfired. I don't blame the dev team at all, they are clearly putting a lot of love and work into the game, the blame falls on the higher ups who forced a very unfinished game to release and wanted to lock content behind overpriced dlc
By that same argument you could justify a DLC that costs €25 and contains a single rollercoaster; the dlc is needed to pay for the support of the game and you’re not forced to buy it. As a customer you are allowed to expect a certain level of value for money, especially if the game’s predecessor has created a standard to compare against, and this product just objectively delivers much less. The pack itself is way overpriced for what you get. AND. On top of that, whereas Planet Coaster 1 received (almost) a full year of exclusively free updates that included more rides and coasters than this dlc pack, Planet Coaster 2 immediately releases this low value-for-money pack alongside it’s release WHILE the game released in a very incomplete state (whereby incomplete mostly refers to the completely broken finances and guest behavior, the “game” part of the game). In my opinion, that is a situation where the collective consumer is very much allowed to give off a signal to the industry that this makes them discontent and that they want the industry to act differently in the future.
This is amazing news! This is all I've been dreaming and asking for the flumes! This has me so excited for next year now! I can't wait to see what the future holds for us in PC2 with waterslides and everything else ingame! Now, I just might actually buy that Thrillseeker DLC because, they apologized, listened and are taking action.
I didnt even think the game was bad at all. It had some weird choises and okay the flumes werent great. But if you had to choose between PC2 and PC1. It isnt even a debate that PC2 is way better. I know that the dlc was a bad timing, because the game had too many little problems. This didnt make the game unplayable. This overhaul to the flumes shows that they still love their game and want to make it as good as possible. And the game has a lot of potential. I think that frontier wanted the game to release too early. At launch it was indeed a bit rough, because it wasnt what we expected, but I just think: "At least it isnt as cities skylines 2."
Curved bottom flumes with deformation is raising the bar far above? I have to agree and disagree. I agree it is raising the bar, but only to the bare minimum of what i'd expect from a game made in 2020.
I had entirely lost interest in this game upon seeing the ridiculous flat bottomed water slides - this development update is unexpected and exciting news!
O-O I did not even slightly expect this, but I am incredibly impressed and happy to see this. Hopefully they'll be more open and upfront with their audience in the future
As much i don't like the fact they did some mistakes... In my opinion the community should be less harsh with the feedbacks... We know they lisson and we should not stop trust them...
It's a good start, this doesn't mean the flumes aren't on rails yet and will be freely moving. I personally think there are bigger problems with the game however, like bugs and for example colors on pieces. Right now if you choose a wall piece of a set you color it, and if you change the piece to a half wall or so you have to color it again. Things like that are way more annoying and comes back every single time. But it's very nice to see them acknowledge, especially that ridiculous dlc.
Oooooh! This looks awesome! I really hate that computers just get more expensive instead of longlasting, but..... sigh..... I'll go work that pole for them coins. LOL, but not really, but maybe.... ugh. I really hope that this is a taste of really really really amazing things to come. This game has so much potential, Frontier just has to keep up with it!
So far Planet Coaster 2 has been my top pick for updates in a game this year. Already rivaling larger games like Minecraft and GTA. Their speed has been outstanding. Updates can keep coming out until the game is truly complete. This way they have a clear end point even if it’s year in the future. Once they simply can’t take the game any further they should make the next game and hopefully the next generation of PCs and Consoles are out by then.
The consistent improvements and features make it feel like they’re truly committed to perfecting the game. focusing on quality updates now ensures the game’s legacy, and by the time they can’t push it further, the next generation of hardware will definitely open up new possibilities.
Honestly, if this was the vision is should have been in the released game however I can't complain about hundreds of hours I've sank into this game out of pure enjoyment.
I honestly don’t think they had a choice. Game deadlines are brutal and they were probably worked to the bone and had a release date dropped on top of them I know that happened with Sonic Frontiers to the point they had to release the official ending in a free DLC almost a year after base game came out.
I guess my complaint with the dlc isn’t that there will be DLC’s, I think it was the fact it was “here’s a paid dlc when our game is in an early access stage!!”
I will forever feel sorry for the devs who want to put out their best work, but are rushed by decision makers who don't understand the first thing about the art that is game design. Devs want to put out the best because they want their names associated with good work!
Can some please tell me if there a limit to how long a ride can be and if guest have a limit tolerance because am trying to create a full map coaster . I have made 5 now that have good stats like excitment 8 and fear 5 with g force limits under 5 and not 1 single guest will ride it.. my max hight is 135 with 112 speed and I clicked on 1 guest who add tolerance enough to ride my ride but didt . Why is this happening .. it's making my not want to play the game anymore because this ride is a vital part to my park . Some1 please help me and explain what is going on or what am I doing wrong please
Heyo Rudi!! I'm not sure where you're getting that these tube deformation animations are heavy to calculate. I don't actually think they are! At 4:42 they show a transparent tube with a yellow "star" inside. What this means is that they're using a skinned mesh (the tube) with bones (the yellow bits) to animate the deformation. This is the exact same technique used to animate guests. Seeing as PC2 has no problem animating hundreds of guests at a time, I don't think we should have any fears over tube mesh deformations being hard to calculate. Source: Am gamedev.
Yeah I understand. I'm just a little hesitant because I talked to some modders and they said...that...Ehm the whole thing uses old and bad technology for certain things. Also guests seem to be worse than in zoo. But I can't confirm this, it's what was read from files. Maybe (and hopefully) they're fixing it now.
Unlike guests this doesn't look baked, it looks more like some sort of tracing like what you can do for legs in Unreal Engine and its IK system... There's 5 bones to trace for every boat, let's say they optimize it properly that's still a good 50 bones to trace every frame... By the way I hate how frontier tricks you into thinking this is huge improvements while this exists in every other game from the last 10 years 🤣
These devs are amazing, I hope we can spread the word about how amazing the devs are, and I bet they are on our side when it comes to the releasing stuff. These devs are so insanely skilled, talented, and every positive thing I could ever say! Let's spread the word! And be mad at the right people.
When it was announced... This is the level of detail and polish of systems i was expecting at launch. The game was clearly rushed (specifically for consoles, and absolutely before for the holiday) we still have a long road ahead and those that are saying this is still a good game, its not, im sorry. It feels like an alpha version of planet coaster 2. Theres not the same level of refinement, attention to details or immersion like the first game. Also, why do no rides default playing default on ride music?!??! My parks feel so static and quiet. And the new music included in planco2 for the rides is fantastic! But again...lack of polish. So song titles are missing, no preview option until you open the ride, no custom music (come on weve had this feature since RCT3!). Ui is still a disaster (improved, yes but still a disaster) Dynamic deformation is great. I hope that they just pre-bake that into the actual rafts vs trying to simulate in realtime. Im fine with the rafts being somewhat on the rails, but there needs to be more variety in animations if we arent getting full water simulation (again, another system i fully anticipated would have been a "simulation evolved" moment to show off. New curting edge Cobra engine water physics tech but we got worse water than planco 1 and arguably RCT3.) I'm just... disappointed, again. And more so because the entire world watched what happened in real time with a gooooood portion of their player base with the CS:2 launch and subsequent paid DLC a month after launch.... Like... I feel like this all just happened and they learned nothing from it. Frontier has had some hard years financially but nothing will be harder than earning the trust back from their customers. Just be upfront and honest with us Frontier. You made this for console players first (and PC players will be focused on after launch). The game is unfinished due to...time? They are their own publisher...they have other revenue streams. Why was the decision made to release it? Why weren't all of the early content creator players feedback listened to and a release date pushed back 3-6 months for polish?!? That's the industry standard anymore. Why not pivot and release the game into early access for 6 months?!? I guess I'll keep my fingers crossed and have faith it will improve.
So much hate gets directed toward the devs and planco team and it makes me feel so bad for them. Fans and gamers have such high expectations but fail to understand the pressures and requirements put on by owners and shareholders. The reality is, Frontier is a business that needs cash flow to continue operating. While you hope a game is fully fleshed out on release, sometimes that’s unattainable by developers that must hit a target deadline. Could all of this criticism have been avoided if they just called it a beta or early access build? Yes. But let’s not hate on the devs who clearly care so much and have already done SO MUCH to make improvements since the first play tests.
I think people need to understand the wider situation that has happened at Frontier over the past year or so. A year ago they made a RTS game based on Warhammer Age of Sigmar. It flopped. When I say it flopped, I mean it really flopped hard. They lost millions and millions on this. There is no doubt in my mind everything that has come after has come from the Frontier publisher side in order to use their "Planet" fans to scrape back the losses they made on the RTS project. This for me is the only reasonable and most obvious explanation for what has happened. A stripped back release that clearly needs more time in the oven. It's sad because the devs themselves are clearly passionate! Also I really need to complain again and again that they desperately need to hire some new staff who are experts on UI design because this game is somehow even worse than PC1 and PZ when it comes to UI. The staff scheduling almost deserves a video on its own talking about how awful it is.
This is mesh morphing animation with Constraints. Its good you can turn it off because it will be taxing on older systems. Next we need some duct tape, oil stain, burnt wood/charcoal and bird dropping decals because we need more ways to make our projects look like crap. XD
I don't get the "its unfinished game" talks ... I freaking love this game, its waaay better than PlanCo1 and I rather have "unfinished" game now then "finished" game delayed by few months. I like that they acknowledeg that what they did wasnt okay.
Excactly. Just what is considered a 'finished' state? With games getting regular updates and DLC these days, when will a game be considered to be in a 'finished' state?
unfinished is, over 1000 tickets on the issue tracker in days, countless features from 1 scrapped that make no sense (synched stations for example, or missing atms) and a lot of really annoying bugs like missing multi select on console at the beginning. And ofcourse mediocre realisation of weather, slides and flumes etc. I love the fact they are adressing it - but we are not talking about random "wishes" but about essential things not working at the start. So happy they already fixed many of them. This is what people refer to. And imo they have all the right to.
@@RudiRennkamel Oh, I didn't mean it that way! I think it's great that they are actually listening and fixing the issues with the game. :D I myself found some things dissapointing or buggy, also found such a quick DLC release questionable. I just think that some people pretend like it's an unplayable, broken, unfinished City Skylines 2 clone when that's not the case. It's very much not that. I was criticizing that sentiment.
Omg people are so rude can we stop disrespecting the game, Devs, and Company in general yall wouldn’t HAVE a planet coaster game without them. Do yall want this to be the FINALE PNCO game?!?!? So why are yall being so disrespectful to the point that they have to point it out by saying “we hear your frustration” just rude except what you have and enjoy it. If you have concerns express that as just that, A CONCERN.
If you throw a 10, Dollar dlc at your customer, with 5 rides only if which 1 is a returner , making it one of the most expensive of your DLCs ever one month after a bumpy launch. People are allowed to be frustrated.
@ yea I agree, but a few things with that 1. They’re a business and the whole world is facing inflation 10 dollars is the price of ANY DLC in almost ANY game. 2. Being Frustrated and being ignorant are two different things. People have the right to be concerned about prices & they have a right to be frustrated at the game they paid money for. But to be ignorant and say rude things about a game that developers worked hard on is degrading & in most cases leads to them ignoring the consumer and never releasing another title under that same name. And lastly 3. Facts, is it a fact that the game can use some quality of life touch ups (YES). Is it a fact that the consumer can be frustrated with prices (YES). Does the game have pathing and slide issues (YES). So why not respectfully ask for these changes versus some consumers DEMANDING them & Saying that this is a HORRIBLE game and the Devs made HORRIBLE decisions ect ect. All I’m saying is this game is supposed to make the player feel good. Just like an amusement park does. When you play the game sure it’ll have its flaws but I promise no one has played a game that hasn’t. It’s not the end of the world. But for the devs to come out and pretty much say (guys stop attacking us we see you’re upset) speaks more words than anything.
@@jcookway Remember when games used to be just as buggy, yet people didn't complain nearly as much? I think the modern gaming industry (example City Skylines 2) destroyed the goodwill, the perception of bugs and brokeness, the peception of what can be considered a 'finished state', etc. in games, and now everything is considered unfinished. Especially nowadays when games get updates, people forget how much gets added later on. Planet Zoo wasn't built in a day.
PC2 is totally RAM-heavy, as is any city-builder. It’s completely being held back by consoles, but that’s a much bigger market than PC alone would get. Shame that this is the case, but that’s what happens when the first time you switch your console on, that’s the technology what you’re stuck with for say 5 years. Think about the things that gfx cards have advanced in the last five years. And not just the shiny graphics, things like DLSS and draw distances, LOD etc. (Like mobile phones, it’s being drip-fed because the company number one aim is to make money. No shit Sherlock) You get what you pay for, but not on YOUR terms, on theirs. So if, two years after they launched a new one, they stop supporting your ‘old’ phone’s software, so you’re then being forced to upgrade whether you like it or not, to have a functioning phone. TL;DR Companies make money. PC master race blah blah phones
lol no game comes out now of days in a finished state but they just need to add more things to do in the game its very boring just building theme for your rides and you have to do it all custom, there is no casual mode for this game if you want to try your hand at building some theme park item's be prepared to spend roughly all day building themes. Sure the work shops there but frontier should atlases add in more default ride skins and or themes and get rid of the 9 usless teacup ride skins.
Sigh once again always about these damn flumes. WHAT ABOUT CUSTOM MUSIC AND VIDEOS!?!?? Toolmakers kit!?!?? More scenery!?!like these are the real questions!!!!
That wasn't an honest apology. An honest apology would be a refund, or a voucher for a free DLC later for those that paid for their cash grab joke of a DLC.
I still don't agree with you and all the people with entitled views. To complain that the game didn't have it is totally different then wishing the game did have it. The one video you did, was not cool. You are talking about cosemetics, and real physics is a part of cosmetics. I don't see the big deal. I don't think it changes the game that much to warrent a complaint video. Oh wow, the raft moves I can finally play the game! That doesn't make any sense. Most of things you guys complained about are cosmetics. And, if you had a brain, you would know all this stuff that you wanted would have happened. I have never been against telling a company what you wish for in a game. But complaining about cosmetics is not a good look. Some people will think it is, because they have that entitled attitude as well. A lot of people do. And, since a big chunk of people are entitled, good companies like Frontier will oblige them. It doesn't mean you were a good person getting them to do what you want. You basically threw a tantrum to get your way. And, not only that you used your followers to do the same. To me that is a bully tactic to get your way, another childish thing. An adult wouldn't have made the video. They would have written Frontier or called them personally. You said a lot of people complained about this stuff, which it was less than half the people. Half of the people are actual grown ups and don't act childish like that. That is why I called you an entitled brat. Because that is what you are, and so is about 40% of the people. You will never get it. Because people with this entitled attitude think they are right for doing what they do. But the truth is, your just childish.
You wrote so many times "I think" "I don't" "I have" Correct. You. This is your opinion. Like I have mine. Do we have to agree? No. Also, the definition of cosmetics is not objective. I - my opinion - find the slides and flumes not being realistic not a cosmetic thing. You can also have an F1 game where you can't leave the track and the gravel pit is only a flat texture. The game would also work. Is it fun or fitting for a 2024 game? No. Same goes for weather in my opinion. Especially when a company already has done it in planet zoo. We are far away from any "wishes". Apart from transfer tracks everything I talked about already exists in either planet zoo or planet coaster 1. This is a big difference.

You not wrong I bought it on Xbox due to being on sale but ALOT of stuff from pc1 is missing on pc2
The missing ATM is kinda okay in my opinion, cause everyone seems to pay without cash anyway. But so much is missing!
I hope one day video games won’t have this uphill battle anymore.
the game will be great and we will have several hundreds of hours of experience when its great then it becomes extraordinary
It's refreshing to see a game company in the modern gaming landscape listening to the community
No i don't.
Those are not made by the same employee.Ux artist are not working on flume physic...
One thing I would love to see is customizable spine sizes on the B&M's like they do on the extreme spinner
I'd like to see them add the spines to the Mack looping/launched. Also, adding more track types to the new and old gen Intamin/Outamax coasters.
I appreciate that they are improving, still i think at least two free coasters and 5 flat rides to make up for the problems are appropriate
They did say they’re going to be working only on free content going forward, so I wouldn’t be surprised if there are some free additions
Does that mean no more paid DLC? 😢
@@katerinakittycat3849 There will be many paid DLCs coming, it's how they make money after all.
Frontier is working on the wrong features. Park accumulated money should transfer into your bank account in reel life.

We'll be cryptomining with this one 👀
This level of flume fix has me cautiously optimistic that launch coasters will be properly updated in the future.
I'm very sorry, but you seem to have missunderstand what this is. It is not a overhaul of any physic used to move along the flume, it is just a visual update for the seater that will wrap around the tube and not be a static mesh anymore. At least not yet. But thank you for the update, happy holidays all
Rudi forgot to mention though that Frontier said they will _also_ be changing the slides themselves so that they are round instead of flat, which is _huge._
The main physics of going down the slide will likely stay the same, but fixing the design of the slides to make them round allows them to at least have the tubes sway horizontally like the Flying Turns does in PlanCo1.
This!! Aligning things to the ground (specially paths) is a nightmare! I’m surprised I’ve seen almost nobody talking about that
i hate accidentally right clicking and it deleting. makes me want to pull my hair out
Dude can we just be happy about them doing a good thing for once, the game is in an amazing place right now, enjoy it, and if you don't go complain in fitting videos, please
Then you click the wrong option. The ruler aka the 25cm/50cm/1m/2m/4m thing CAN be turned off and is a different option than simply moving around
Idk bout you but non of these apply to me
Thanks for doing this video Rudi!
This is great news. Are they gonna change the flat bottoms of the slide itself to round as well then? Really hope so
Yes, they said it in the video.
Yes. They confirmed this in the unboxing!
I think the DLC thing was over blown. No one was forced to buy it. There was nothing in it that was needed to make the bug fixes work. If you wanted it, great, pay up or wait 3 to 6 months after they patch the game more. People acted like it was forced on them.
People now tend more and more to expect things to go exactly as they want them to... And then get upset when it doesn't.
Right? Really love it!
What I want most from PC2 now is an "exit" setting for pools, where people only enter through flumes and slides.
That works, you just need to close the pool. Then it works like an exit
@@RudiRennkamel Sweet, thanks. I am pretty sure when I tried when the game first released, it closed the flume as well.
I really appreciate them going back and taking these steps to improve after release
Developers/publishers can’t delay games anymore, remember the mentals when Cyberpunk 2077 was delayed and then almost delayed again?!
An apology and a promise. More of this please. And my log flumes finally work
Any rumblings of dynamic switch tracks for coasters or tracked rides? I'd love to be able to make swing launches with a LSM launched coaster.
please tell me they added a way to allow your coasters to duel since that was something i was able to do in RCT2 let alone PC2
How do you get this update
Are the mechanics servicing the rides or do we still have to emergency shut down our rides on a regular basis?
I think the reason the don’t have the Arror swinging inverted coaster is the same reason. They would have to animate the swing effect
Honestly, if this was the vision is should have been in the released game however I can't complain about hundreds of hours I've sank into this game out of pure enjoyment.
I honestly don’t think they had a choice. Game deadlines are brutal and they were probably worked to the bone and had a release date dropped on top of them
I know that happened with Sonic Frontiers to the point they had to release the official ending in a free DLC almost a year after base game came out.
I guess my complaint with the dlc isn’t that there will be DLC’s, I think it was the fact it was “here’s a paid dlc when our game is in an early access stage!!”
I just want custom audio now
I will forever feel sorry for the devs who want to put out their best work, but are rushed by decision makers who don't understand the first thing about the art that is game design.
Devs want to put out the best because they want their names associated with good work!
We will just have to wait til next year for snow haha
Can some please tell me if there a limit to how long a ride can be and if guest have a limit tolerance because am trying to create a full map coaster . I have made 5 now that have good stats like excitment 8 and fear 5 with g force limits under 5 and not 1 single guest will ride it.. my max hight is 135 with 112 speed and I clicked on 1 guest who add tolerance enough to ride my ride but didt . Why is this happening .. it's making my not want to play the game anymore because this ride is a vital part to my park . Some1 please help me and explain what is going on or what am I doing wrong please
Planet Coaster 1 and its DLC's are currently on sale at 60% off. That's the game we want.
And be mad at the right people.
this feels like Cities Skylines 2 all over again.
Ui is still a disaster (improved, yes but still a disaster)
Dynamic deformation is great. New curting edge Cobra engine water physics tech but we got worse water than planco 1 and arguably RCT3.)
I'm just... disappointed, again.
Club Penguin Sled Racing Easter Egg? Cellent
Frontier definitely gained my trust with this one
They are starting to win me back. I'm really glad about that.
Haven’t really checked on this game but this seems like something you should add before releasing the game
This is mesh morphing animation with Constraints. Its good you can turn it off because it will be taxing on older systems.
Next we need some duct tape, oil stain, burnt wood/charcoal and bird dropping decals because we need more ways to make our projects look like crap. XD
The moss decals can easily be colored black or dark brown to suggest rust or oil, maybe even green for vomit
Really? FLUMES is the problem here?
ive been holding off playing, for them to improve the physics.
I was criticizing that sentiment.
the issue isnt the dlc being paid? for me its the things inside of the dlc. 2 remodeled flatrides. and only 2 coasters
So excited 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
i played the first 3 parks and thought everything was pretty super so far lol and now its supposed to get better?!
@ yea I agree, but a few things with that
All this for a water slide... go outside
lol no game comes out now of days in a finished state but they just need to add more things to do in the game its very boring just building theme for your rides and you have to do it all custom, there is no casual mode for this game if you want to try your hand at building some theme park item's be prepared to spend roughly all day building themes. Sure the work shops there but frontier should atlases add in more default ride skins and or themes and get rid of the 9 usless teacup ride skins.
Im slowly accepting that i will only but this game when its 80% off on a sale unfortunately...
I've been saying the same thing since i saw the first little bit of gameplay
Bitte die parkgrösse größer machen
Just more proof that they were forced to release an unfinished game. Fuck capitalism and greediness
Sigh once again always about these damn flumes. WHAT ABOUT CUSTOM MUSIC AND VIDEOS!?!?? Toolmakers kit!?!?? More scenery!?!like these are the real questions!!!!
I have no interest in PC2 despite the fact it looks great. What i'm really concerned about is JWE3.
For the algorithm
Better do something that the game will run better on Consoles....
It's horrible
Does this mean Thrillseeker DLC will no longer be DLC?
The people who bought it will be angry.
@@utamed9311unless they get a refund
😍😍😍
That wasn't an honest apology. An honest apology would be a refund, or a voucher for a free DLC later for those that paid for their cash grab joke of a DLC.
How are they going to support the game financially with free updates? This just means we will get less content. I would rather pay
You wrote so many times "I think" "I don't" "I have"
Correct.
