@BUDDYZFISHINGADVENTURES hey bud awesome fish! I see you are fishing with a KP! I want to try one but is it worth it and will a 4inch work on a 8ft medium spinning rod? Also what type of line diameter can you use for a 4inch? please let me know
Thanks bud. Fishing with a kp is very addictive, it will take a while to master it, can be very frustrating at first as it's difficult to cast bt keep practicing and you will get there. 4 inch kp will work well on a 8ft - 10ft. 10lb nylon would be best suited for a 4 inch. I am using 10lb maxima marine green on my 4 inch. A 5 inch kp would be easier to start off with, the smaller the reel, the more difficult it is to cast. Let me know how it goes.
@@BUDDYZFISHINGADVENTURES thanks bud will do! how much meters of maxima do you use? And will a kp work for lures as well and how does the brake system work please let me know
@SaltyDog-k3b I would suggest you buy a 600m spool of maxima and put about 300m of nylon on the reel, keep the balance for the next time. You'd be surprised with how much line a kp can take. Yes it will work for spinning. There is no braking system on the reel. If a fish wants to take line, you got to cup your hand underneath the reel and use your palm pressure as your drag. Will do a video explaining that the next time I hook into a decent fish.
@@BUDDYZFISHINGADVENTURES awesome thanks for the help bud!💯 is the kingfisher nylon 10lb also a good line option for this reel? And do you still need to set the hook if you are fishing with a KP looking forward for that video!!
Yes kingfisher nylon will work just as well. Yes you will have to set the hook as you would do so with a normal j hook. If using a circle then wait for the pull away. I really hope you do well with the kp, it's just so much fun once you master the casting. The rest is easy.
Great stuff brother.... Listen i wanna learn to cast with a kp... What's the best way to cast and wer is the release point when usen a 10 ft rod and a 2oz sinker with a 4 or 5 inch kp... thanks in advance...
Thank you. Learning to cast with a kp can be very frustrating. The key is to start off with short casts and then work your way casting further. A 4 inch kp would be ideal for a 10ft rod. Alot of practice will surely get you casting that kp pretty well. You have to feel each cast and figure out your perfect release point. I would say around 60 degree angle would be your aim then adjust accordingly.
Ummm. That reel I got as a gift from my Bru... You know him best... And that reel is blessed... Need to mission down the coast soon for another session...
I try my best to always mention my tackle whilst fighting a fish. It's puts the viewer into the picture and understanding of the reasoning behind the way I'm fighting the fish. Thanks bro.
Hi. I always use the thin latex cotton pro. Works best for me on smaller bait. Hook sizes may vary depending on size of the fish in the area. I would start off with a size 1. Good all round hook size, can always move up to a 1/0 or maybe even a. 2/0 I use a mustad ringed chinu. The Daiichi DH55 also works very well.
@BUDDYZFISHINGADVENTURES thanks for letting me know 👍 I love using shrimp works best and one more question so I want to try a new bait what do you reccomend? Like red bait? or squid?
@@BUDDYZFISHINGADVENTURES umm... No I who'd love to catch a Bronze bream but I just use pink shrimp \prowns as bait I want to try sametien new what will you reccomend?
Crayfish would be my next best bait to target bronze bream. It works very well. Use it as you would use a prawn. Try it out and let me know how that goes.
Very very nice. Never caught a bream before. Can you guys do a video where you guys throw relatively medium bait with the okuma ceymar. Would love to see the reel screaming. I thing durban harbour would be a good fishing spot for fishing with the ceymar. Watched your last video with the ceymar. Super nice 👌🏻👍🏻
Thanks bud... Bronze bream is one fish that has a very rare bite. Lovely fish to target and very nice eating aswell. I have a Ceymar 30, it's quiet a small reel, I would recommend a 40 or ideally a 55 Ceymer for throwing medium sized baits. Ceymar 30 works well for me for scratching in and amongst the rocks. I will try to do a bronze bream session with it for you. Glad you enjoying the videos...
@MarkoGrobbelaar-d2j they Ceymar 30 would be ideal. Nice little reel, very well priced aswell. If taken good care of, it will last you a long time. It will work great on a 7ft or 8ft.
@@sudeshraghubeer3826not just any kinda mat. Has to have large print. And must come with extras.. Like a dress makers tape and one of those fancy tape measures with Lazer light. 😂
Well done
Beautiful bronze bream👍
Thanks bro... Turned out to be one tasty butterfly...
