Going Home - Local Hero | Classic Vibes - Mark Knopfler Cover

If from all the music I know I had to choose only one, then it would definitely be this one. Mark Knopflers’ Going Home, also known as the soundtrack from the 1983 movie Local Hero.
If this tune was played at the Dire Straits concerts, you knew ‘this was it’, the final and ultimate song we’ve all been waiting for.
This version is my personal tribute to all of my Local Hero’s.
For Mark and Hank for being my live time inspirers, for my aunt wo borrowed me my first guitar at age of 12, for the beautiful Steve Reynolds-aways remember him-, for Phil Mc Garrick and Dave Monk who I admire for their beautiful and ongoing playing, for the many RUclipsrs out there just like me who keep ‘The Sound’ alive and for Christian and his amazing team for the stunning Vintage Sound VST pack. Discovering this felt like coming home after a many years searching form my sound. Last but not least for my parents who regularly play my RUclips video’s. Thank You all my Local Hero’s for being such an inspiration!
This one is played with my 1992 Fender Stratocaster Plus with its amazing Lace Sensor pickups. Straight into Focusrite, into the computer and using the fabulous Vintage Sound VST pack.
