No. They are not the same. Both have different applications. Pvc foam board is used mainly for making cabinets and furniture. Have more density and is stronger. Xps insulation is used for ceiling and wall covering. it has temperature control properties.

Riveting is not possible....use screws...or glue is available for joining the pvc board....(fevicol brand)..
