Hi there ,thanks for sharing, I have the same amp. I am looking to order new bass,treble and balance potentiometers. I tried cleaning but they are showing signs of wear . I have a noticeable hum when the sound is off. My two big caps 50v 4700uf is a little rounded on the top. I can only source a slightly smaller one by 2 to 3 cm ,it has the same voltage, and uf. Would this work? I am ordering it from China, I can't seem to find a local store here in nz that has the same dimensions. Your help would be greatly appreciated 🙏 thanks
Hey there. If your caps are bulging - pretty much anything will be better than what's in there - I'd recommend sourcing caps from Digikey if you don't have a good local source. A 50V part is pretty close to the rails so I'd suggest using a reliable trusted supplier. I found the bass treble pots were OK, but the direct button needed some contact cleaner and solder joints touched up. It's a nice amp - hope you manage to successfully restore it.
