Philip glass gave the modern audience what they want, which is consistent volume and tempo suitable for intimate sounds between earphones or closed spaces, and hidden melody that can be singed along, it is an adaptation when musicians can no longer confine their audiences in one venue and have their inescapable attention.
I have been in love with Philip Glass's music since the 1970's, listening in his loft and at BAM. It is some of the most beautiful music I have ever experienced. It touches all one's emotions.
Isolated and masklainated from loved ones I am increasingly drawn to Gorecki or Glass whose music seems to sublimely convey mankinds' emerging existential condition. Beneath the tragedy lies beauty and power and hope.

Poderosa y enérgica interpretación,se me hace imposible elegir entre Namekawa y Batagov! En directo los vi junto a Glass en Barcelona este año.Inolvidable! Gracias por compartir!
Great performance! I think no one can play Glass better than you, at least from what I've heard. Greetings from Brazil. Love for Russia and russian people!
Phillip Glass just when I listen you my mindset on the world changes and it just takes me to this beautiful and musically artistic place that I otherwise don't ever have, thank you to you and Anton so much god bless you both. (#12 is my favorite :p)
I've never heard these pieces before though I love Glass. The first etude of the video (number 11) reminds me in places of 'Another Day of Sun' from La La Land, I wonder if Justin Hurwitz was inspired by Glass.

A friend told me to listen to this. Have not heard Glass for ages. I still liked it when he wrote the music for Koyaanisqatsi in 1982 but this is so repetitive and almost no colouration of tone. Got bored, sorry. I am more Liszt guy. Hard to compare with others. I am sure others do not like Liszt. Eventually all is a matter of personal taste.
you took Philip Glass's music to a whole new level
Batagov expresses the entire essence of Philip Glass...two genius.
The etude 11 is a perfect fusion about Classical and Minimalist music.

Try Wim Mertens too, it's the closest composer to Philip Glass I know.
Just beautiful. Thank you Anton.
Excellent interpretation sir!!!
Somptueux transcendant d'une magnificence

Lol I ain’t seeing no light of hope
❤️
I love Gorecki's Symphony #3. When I am sad, it is quite soothing.

glass expresa la belleza y el dolor del mundo como pocos
Gran interpretación!
découvert depuis peu et violemment addictif : une interprétation habitée
Very beautiful. Was a pleasure

fantastic piano played
thanks for the sweet music
I like Etude 16, so moving.
Me too. With 12 and 6 in the Book one.
Merci
It seems that he has recreated the n15, a very personal interpretation.
❤️ Beautiful !

Ungeahnte Details, sehr gefasst, große Interpretation.
stimm dir vollkommen zu. Faszinierend!
I love the chromatic mediants in Etude 15
I love the tempo.
божественно
I like the way Maki Namekawa plays the etudes... very skillful, very impressive. But this is so moving... Prefer Batagov's interpretation, I think.
Agree. Deeper, more soul, more musical.
Namekawa is best among interpreters of P. Glass Etudes.
They both have their high points. Love them both!
I like his interpretation of n10 and 15 whereas for n6 I prefer Gloria Campaner, and for n9 Vikingur Olafsson.
I love etudes 14 and 16
My favorite is 12, so much so that I have it on a loop.
Maravilhoso
I especially like nrs. 15, 17 and 20.

The emperor has no clothes
These are etudes? Give me a break. Prokoviev was the last greatest composer for the piano. From then on everything went downhill.
Time kills all ideals.
