That 2000-2001 Ravens teams was special to me because my Pops passed away in 1999. He was born and raised in Baltimore and it broke him when they moved to Indianapolis. For awhile he stopped watching football all together. After that he just floated around from team to team. The Bears and 49ers mostly, anyone but my Cowboys. He was so excited when he found out that Baltimore was getting another team. Sadly he passed away before he could see them win the Super Bowl. I will always be great full to everyone who was on that team. I know Pops was smiling looking down.

Skip has bought up Shannon being a Hall of Famer a lot and even celebrated Shannon breaking the single season TE record.
They were in a heated argument and Skip said Shannon was Jealous of Tom Brady, Shannon said why he got to be jealous if he's a hall of famer and Skip said it don't matter because him being a hall of famer can still mean he's jealous.
People thought no one would watch this Show when Skip left ESPN. So we will wait and see.
At 5:02 Shannon’s reaction around 5:12 after Skip’s quip is like, “Man, this is what I like us just vibing, but I gotta stay focused on getting outta here.”

Wish the nfl would bring back more of the physicality it’s not fair to the defensive players that they have to play with a hand tied behind their backs

The 2000 Ravens is the defense for me because I was a fan in my prime of watching football. They were beasts with Ray leading the charge. I remember the 85 Bears destroying the Patriots in the Super Bowl but cant remember much about the regular season games. I didn't see the Steelers except for highlights. I think they recorded 8 shut outs in a season. That is nuts!!
Shout to the Legion of Boom, 2002 Buccaneers, 2015 Broncos.
2008 Steelers belong on that list too. Led the league in yards, points, sacks and turnovers. Their only blemish was giving up 24 points to that "eh" Cardinals team.
2000 Ravens and the 03 Buccaneers were the best defensive teams that I remember

Two best defenses of my lifetime were the 86 Bears and 2000 Ravens. I’m a diehard lifelong Cowboys fan and I hate this. You were lucky to get 10 points against that Ravens team. Calling them dominating is an understatement. Micah needs to be careful putting this D up against one of the greatest ever.

Dallas defense CAN’T be compared to the 01 Ravens. Last year, Dallas defense was ranked 22nd against the run and 8th against the pass. They aren’t even close to the best current defense
I'm still trying to figure out where this notion that Dallas has the best defense came from. Real sports analytics would compare them to the 49ers, Eagles, Jets, Ravens, and Chiefs defenses all of whom had better years last year ND got better in the offseason.

They never included Seattle defense. It was epically good as well. Given the rule changes it was every bit as good as the Ravens and Bears. Take the Bears and Ravens and move them into Seattle's era. They'd still be great but not insanely great because of the changes in play.

I guess Parsons really liked the Cowboys drafting the defensive tackle with the first round pick as opposed to the tight end that everybody thought we were going to get. I believe his last name is Kincaid. I did feel a number one need was defensive tackle and I was actually saying we should’ve used our first and second round pick on defensive tackles.

Honestly I have no problem with Micah saying it, I just don't like he's saying that about a Cowboys defense that choked a 17 pt lead to Jacksonville last year. Or that he's saying that about a defense that gave up 34 to an Eagles team with Gardner Minshew at the helm of that offense. Or 26 to a Commanders team with a Sam Howell who came from the North Carolina Tar Heels football team just the year before he got there. So no Micah this defense isn't legendary it looks closer to average than extraordinary.

The 2000 Ravens have the greatest single-season defense ever, and the only one that even is on their level is the 1985 Bears. Think about it. Fewest points and fewest rushing yards allowed in a season. And they did this in a year where 21 different running backs rushed for over 1000. This was the Year of the Running Back, and no one could run against that defense. Not to mention they faced four 1000-yard rushers in their own division and five of them in the playoffs. Not to mention they also allowed the fewest passing yards in the league that year. No team is ever going to ever give up fewer than 200 points again. Not with how the NFL is catered to wide-open passing attacks. Look, Dallas has an excellent defense, but to say that they are going to be the equal of the 2000 Ravens is insane. Speaking of Baltimore, they are most likely going to have the #1 defense in the league, especially considering that most of their defense is coming back and they allowed 20 or fewer points in 8 of their last 10 games. Yeah, good luck with that.
