When Dolph walked into the interview and saw Stallone still had his black hair, he said “If he dyes, he dyes.”
LOLz

I literally LOL'd...nice!
Now the line “it’s a shame we gotta get old” hits home.
Blame Adam.
U wanna ring the bell?
Alright ding ding
It’s better than the alternative…
@Shad rocks yes. It’s awfully dark when the lights go out.
No matter what, getting older is by far, much better than the alternative.
No matter how many times I watch the Rocky films I never get bored
Absolutely correct! It's like you are watching it the first time, again and again.
NEVER
with the exception of Rocky V

@@timhoward5 no, Rocky V actually sucks
Drago had the coolest and best hair style of any villain. Even sweaty in the ring it took on a new form of bad ass.
Plus I really believed he was a Soviet athlete.
Closest to a real life super Saiyan!

Man.. These guys are demi godsss
The same words were also said by the Pope when Sylvester Stallone with his family visited the Pope in the Vatican a short time ago. I think hearing those words, Stallone must have felt much older than he is.
The Rocky's are one of those very few that you can watch a hundred times periodically throughout your life. They never get dull and boring. You still feel the emotions while watching like you did the first time you saw it....... Yo, Adrian

also very motivating too
Yeah for real. I liked 4 the most but l could watch all of them over
Agreed, I have also watched Stallone in Rambo more times than I care to admit.
Six movies a two spin offs about a mumbling boxer shouldn't work..... but damn they do.
I still don't see any remorse in his eyes for killing Apollo Creed all those years ago!

I read somewhere that Dolph Lundgren and Carl Weathers didn't get along well while they were filming Rocky 4. Although Rocky 4 was filmed in 1985, so maybe that's changed over the years.
But he’s dead
When I was a kid Rocky 3 was my favorite because it had Mr. T, Hulk Hogan, and Apollo Creed. I loved "Eye of the Tiger" and the montage. As a high schooler I liked Rocky 4 the most; Rocky defeating the Soviet Union, training in the mountains, more montages? Fuck Yeah!
Now as an adult the first 2 Rocky movies resonate the most. I've woken up early many times, alone and merely getting by, hoping I can make something of myself. Forget glory, I just wanted to do the best I can and enjoy life any way I can, which is what made the first two movies beautiful. It's the story of a man who had little but loved life and the people in it anyways. He just wanted a little bit more and by sheer luck was given an opportunity and made the most of it. And those movies happened to be about a boxer.
Nice words, it could be my story!
My part when clubber lang said I gotta lotta more
I like how he rebounded from betrayal by friends... and forgave to an extent, but not stupidly.
This is the decade of Nostalgic reunions.
These two really need to do a full commentary on Rocky IV DVD/BluRay, there's been no bonus material on any Rocky III or IV home releases, such a crime.
Yes, it is criminal they do that. I recently got Rocky, Rocky II and Rocky III on US blu ray, and only Rocky has stacks of bonus features.
Agreed. I could listen to these two shoot the shit and tell old stories all day.
Totally agree.
Yeh a RUclips channel. Like the guys from the Sopranos
Maybe with the re-release of 4 that'll change

Ivan Drago's threatening sentence : " I must break you ! " has remained etched in the memory of many of my peers!
I love how they portray hatred towards each other in the movie, but they’re actually best friends.
The 80's were great.
Races got along, everyone was worried about Nukes.
Music was everthing.
Early mid 90s was cool too except for the whole rave and ecstasy crazy which is still present til now except with shittier music
Shit's always been going down. 80's had somethings better and some things worse depending on where you lived really. The 80's were great for you.
Races got along? In the 1980s?
@@metaparcel It was "different" because most of the Gen X had "morals". It wasn't the Nam / Hippie gen. I like to think of it as a moment in time were everyone "stopped" for a second and enjoyed life.

A true classic all of the Rocky’s and Rambo’s are. We will never have action stars like this again sadly.
Sly wearing the classic Rocky outfit is the best part of this vid!
When Stallone lost the academy award for creed I stopped watching the academy awards all together. It was Stallone’s last chance at an Oscar and they didn’t give it to him.
The fact that nearly 50 years later, the rocky series is still watchable and relevant is better than any crappy gold award on a shelf covered in dust
But the Creeds are garbage, so was Balboa (6) All the others are great though, including 5 IMO. Depressing switch but was a interesting u-turn for the story.
He represents the american dream/rags to riches, the CCP of Hollywood wouldn't want to glorify Sly too much...

Not necessarily. Russians were always great dudes, honest hard working people, inteligent and brave. Western countries ( esp. USA) with their holier than thou cocky attitude viewed them as rude peasents still trapped in spirit of old times. That was wrong, very wrong.
@@ivans.5397Ok Ivan, I’m sure you’re not Russian or anything. Western attitude towards Russians is this. They’re ice cold emotionless people who love vodka and want our American blue jeans and cigarettes. I dunno where you got “rude peasants” from.
America should not have changed a bit from 1985 , look at how terrible we are now
Sylvester is just dressed like Rocky
I taught him that
I love the both!!!! True 80's 90's 2000's...forever LEGENDS!!!!
I did not realize that some of these hits were actual hits on not just Hollywood fighting.
Well there is the story that Lundgren knock Stallone out on day one of shooting the fight....
I dabble in stunt work and fight chorography. Some of them hits are legit. The parts where is is walking Lundgren down, there is no camera magic there, those shots are connecting on his forehead
There are many hits that you can give and not cause that much damage that is real and the sounds are real.
The amount of brain damage these two inflicted on each other must be pretty crazy.
It's more of love taps, when you practice something for 6 months exactly how its suppose to be you can "land"shots without actually hurting one another. You know exactly which shot is coming from where and can turn or slightly roll with it to take off the steam. Granted it wont feel good but it's nowhere near being hit with a legitmate shot from a proper pivot with the intent to floor you. The real story of Dolph hitting Stallone goes that Rock wanted to do a real round with Dolph, no hold off camera. Dolph hit Stallone so hard in his chest he sent him to the hospital (might of stopped his heart briefly it was a very serious injury) and they basically had to halt filming for like 2 weeks maybe more.
Two legends
I am in my 50s, but back when I was in sports and working out, I would often watch these movies and/or the several very motivational Rocky music themes and get amped up... Such incredible work Sly has done
I've always loved the rocky movies, because it's a story about life, and anyone with a pulse can relate to that.
Memories. Childhood. BOTH LEGENDS!
time move so fast its like yesterday i was watching Rocky's movies both of them grown up .
Both, they are great action stars, living legends of Hollywood.
Classic. Iconic. You can't find movies this good anymore.
Yeah, not even close.
Its nice to see these two legends speaking and being comedic with each other :')

The press conference with Rocky and Drago’s camp was epic. “We go!”

Nineteenth Window
According to the meaning of the verse:
The seven heavens and the earth and all within them extol His limitless glory, and there is nothing but it extols His limitless glory and praise,1
the All-Glorious Maker has attached innumerable meanings and instances of wisdom to the heavenly bodies so that it is as if, in order to express His glory and beauty, He has adorned the heavens with the words of the suns, moons and stars. To the beings in the atmosphere also He has attached instances of wisdom and meanings and aims, as if to make it speak through the words of the thunder, lightning, and drops of rain, and give instruction in the perfection of His wisdom and beauty of His mercy.
He causes the head of the earth to speak too with its meaningful words known as animals and plants and displays the perfections of His art to the universe. Then He makes the plants and trees speak, all words of that head, through the words of their leaves, flowers, and fruits and again proclaims the perfection of His art and beauty of His mercy. Their flowers and fruits, too, He makes speak, through the words of their seeds, and gives instruction to the aware and conscious in the subtleties of His art and the perfection of His dominicality. And so, out of these innumerable words of glorification, we shall lend our ears and listen to a single shoot and a single flower and their manner of expression, and learn the way in which they testify.
Yes, all plants and all trees describe their Maker with numerous tongues in such a way that they leave those who study them in amazement, causing them to exclaim: “Glory be to God! How wonderfully they bear witness to Him!”
Yes, the glorification of plants at the time their flowers open, and the moment they produce new shoots, and when they offer their smiling words is as beautiful and clear as themselves. For through the beautiful mouth of each flower and the tongues of its orderly shoots and the words of its well-measured seeds, the order demonstrates wisdom and is observedly within a balance which demonstrates knowledge. And the balance is within an embroidery of art which demonstrates skill and craft. And the embroidery of art is within an adornment which demonstrates favour and munificence. And the adornment is within subtle scents which demonstrate mercy and bestowal. And these meaningful qualities one within the other form such a tongue of testimony that it both describes the All-Beauteous Maker through His Names, and portrays Him through His attributes, and expounds the manifestation of His Names, and expresses His making Himself loved and known.
If you hear such testimony from a single flower, will your doubts and suspicions and heedlessness persist when you listen to all the flowers in the dominical gardens on the face of the earth and hear with what elevated strength they proclaim the necessary existence and unity of the All-Glorious Maker? If they do persist, can it be said of you that you are a conscious human being?
Come, now look carefully at a tree! See its delicate mouth within the orderly emergence of the leaves in spring, and the blossoms opening in a measured manner, and the fruits swelling with wisdom and mercy and dancing at the blowing of the breeze in the hands of the branches like innocent children. See the just balance within the wise order expressed through the tongue of the leaves becoming green at a generous hand, through that of the flowers smiling with the joy of a favour received, and through the words of the fruits laughing through a manifestation of mercy. See the careful arts and embroideries within the balance demonstrating justice; and the mercy within the skilful embroideries and adornment; and the various sweet tastes and delightful scents, which indicate mercy and bestowal; and the seeds, each of which is a miracle of power within the agreeable tastes: all these point in most clear fashion to the necessary existence and unity of an All-Wise, Generous, Compassionate, Beneficent, Bountiful Maker, a Bestower of Beauty and Favours, to the beauty of His mercy and perfection of His dominicality. Thus, if you can listen at the same time to the tongues of disposition of all the trees on the earth, you will see and understand what exquisite jewels are to be found in the treasury of the verse:
All that is in the heavens and on the earth extols God’s limitless glory.O you unhappy heedless one who supposes himself to be free through his ingratitude! If the All-Generous One of Beauty, Who makes Himself known to you and loved by you through these innumerable tongues had not wanted you to know Him, He would have silenced them. Since they have not been silenced, they should be heeded. You cannot be saved by closing your ears in heedlessness. For the universe does not fall silent at you stopping up your ears, the beings within it will not be silent, the witnesses to Divine unity will not hold their tongues. And for sure, they will condemn you...

Rocky movies inspired me to train as hard as I did from 7th grade until I got out of the Marine Corps in 2002. I did the raw eggs, went on long runs, used my environment as an obstacle course, and even used a fence post on my back while going on long runs. Sometimes I would run with a post to specific places I would train. Put it down to train there. Pick it back up and run to the next location and continue the cycle until I returned home. My training was not normal and I probably did a lot of things wrong. I did benefit from it by having a great deal of endurance. I wasn't a great athlete in my opinion, but I was praised for my work ethic, dedication, will to never give up no matter the circumstances and heart. Several times we got blown out in football 60 + to 0 and I still played like I could win the game with seconds left on the clock. I was on both sides of the ball and special teams so I never left the field. We called it Ironman Football. Because of how I trained I never got tired during a game in any sport I played. I owe that to the first 4 Rocky movies. Each one taught me something about myself and I will forever be grateful
