He had a wife and 2 daughters waiting for him at the end of this mission. He had lived in my college dorm and dated my close friend. He was an incredibly kind, quiet, and dedicated person, whose dream had always been to be an astronaut. It was gratifying to see he achieved his dream. I was on the freeway when I heard about the explosion and had to pull over, in shock over the horror of it. This choice of song, and artist, was a perfect tribute to him and his fellow mission team, and continues to bring tears to my eyes.
I have listened to several versions of this song by different singers. They all sang incredibly well. Still, Josh hits me most with his supreme voice quality and flawless singing technique. Simply talent.
All the men on that shuttle died trying to touch the heavens and had reached their destination. They died for what they believed in and I pray that it was a short death for them with no pain. I pray for their families that have had a loss that will impact them for life, Amen

Josh Groben and his incredible voice is just as clear and pitch perfect in huge stadium or in studio. He is probably my favorite Baritone. He used to say he was a Tenor is training. He can hit high notes beyond normal Baritone range and low notes beyond Baritone too. He never fails to amaze crowds.
This song helped me through a lot. I hate to say this but I used to be suicidal, ever since my partner cheated on me after a 5 year relationship, I stopped believing in anything anyone said. Nobodies opinion mattered in my eyes. And now I’m still depressed but I’m not suicidal. I made lots of new friends over the years and they kept me company when I was down.
