This is one of the greatest vocal performances ive ever seen! He's perfectly in tune and in pocket! Josh in his prime was of the greatest men to ever sing! This is so good to where I thought it may have been playbacked. But thats way below Josh. He's one of the greatest to ever do it!!!

Your positive attitude is probably explained by not being left wing extremist. I am not even "North American" but European (Swedish). Hail to the national Canadian Ice Hockey Team!
Josh Groben sounds as good live in a huge stadium as other performers sound hiding in studio wearing headphones, using special microphones, using sound engineers on sound board, and in sound proof room. I heard this song years back, been fan ever since. I had over a decade of singing and acting. On my best days I was never close to this level of perfect.
Josh Groban's performance of “You Raise Me Up” during the 2004 Super Bowl NASA tribute was a profoundly moving and unforgettable moment. Set against the backdrop of the tragic Columbia Space Shuttle disaster in 2003, Groban’s rendition became a poignant tribute to the brave astronauts who lost their lives, while also offering a sense of hope and resilience in the face of sorrow. From the first note, Groban’s powerful yet tender voice carried a deep sense of reverence and emotional weight. His delivery was filled with heartfelt emotion, creating a sense of comfort and reflection that resonated with both the live audience and millions of viewers watching from home. Groban’s performance was understated yet deeply impactful, allowing the lyrics to shine as a message of support and strength during a difficult time for NASA and the nation. The song’s message of being lifted and supported during times of struggle aligned perfectly with the spirit of the tribute, honoring not only the fallen astronauts but also the enduring legacy of space exploration and human achievement. As the performance reached its crescendo, Groban’s soaring vocals filled the stadium, elevating the moment into a powerful anthem of hope and remembrance. Accompanied by a choir and poignant visuals of the Columbia crew and space missions, the performance created a somber yet uplifting atmosphere, providing a moment of unity and reflection amidst the grandeur of the Super Bowl. Josh Groban’s “You Raise Me Up” during the 2004 Super Bowl will always be remembered as one of the most emotionally stirring performances, honoring the courage of the astronauts and lifting the spirits of everyone who watched. It was a perfect blend of musical excellence and heartfelt tribute, showcasing Groban’s incredible ability to connect with an audience on a deeply emotional level.
I will never forget the day the Challenger exploded, what a beautiful tribute to those who lost their lives that day, and what an amazing song Of Gods love.
I was almost 3 years old when the Shuttle Columbia exploded. I was also living in Nacogdoches, Texas where they found a lot of the wreckage (I was also born there too) and this song is a great tribute to the brave astronauts who were lost in the explosion. May God bless those families and friends of the crew and may their names live on forever ❤️
I couldn’t listen to this song for the longest time. This was my grandmother’s funeral video song. Every time I heard it as a child, I was sad. Immensely sad. Now I can listen to this and realize what a beautiful song this is.
I wasn't ready for 2:11 man. I mostly listen to alternative/rock/pop/hip hop kind of stuff, but Josh is one of those singers that makes me love his genre/particular strain of art.
2:11 was incredible, he fucking NAILED that high note! Just imagine how lucky you'd be if you were born with a voice like that... Seriously one of the best voices I've heard in my entire life.
This was in memory of the Columbia crew. I knew one of the astronauts, Michael Anderson, the pilot. This was his second mission. He had a wife and 2 daughters waiting for him at the end of this mission. He had lived in my college dorm and dated my close friend. He was an incredibly kind, quiet, and dedicated person, whose dream had always been to be an astronaut. It was gratifying to see he achieved his dream. I was on the freeway when I heard about the explosion and had to pull over, in shock over the horror of it. This choice of song, and artist, was a perfect tribute to him and his fellow mission team, and continues to bring tears to my eyes.
I have listened to several versions of this song by different singers. They all sang incredibly well. Still, Josh hits me most with his supreme voice quality and flawless singing technique. Simply talent.
All the men on that shuttle died trying to touch the heavens and had reached their destination. They died for what they believed in and I pray that it was a short death for them with no pain. I pray for their families that have had a loss that will impact them for life, Amen
Josh killed it!! Such an amazing singer. The Columbia shuttle disaster was one of the most gruesome things ever. Body parts were strewn all over Palestine, Texas. Those poor astronauts were ripped apart.
Josh Groben and his incredible voice is just as clear and pitch perfect in huge stadium or in studio. He is probably my favorite Baritone. He used to say he was a Tenor is training. He can hit high notes beyond normal Baritone range and low notes beyond Baritone too. He never fails to amaze crowds.
This song helped me through a lot. I hate to say this but I used to be suicidal, ever since my partner cheated on me after a 5 year relationship, I stopped believing in anything anyone said. Nobodies opinion mattered in my eyes. And now I’m still depressed but I’m not suicidal. I made lots of new friends over the years and they kept me company when I was down.
I hope you find the community you are looking for. I hope you can find good and kind people out there. You deserved better than that. I hope you find someone you can love and be loved by ❤
This was in my home city of Houston and it was an emotional time, 9/11, the space shuttle crash, and the country was very united. It was like a different world, i was 20 years old, miss this time. 😢

I can't honestly recall a better-performed song in any Super Bowl..... ever.
I agree, Bill. Josh was already on my radar...probably had at least 1 -2 CDs by then. Josh is 36 yrs old now! I am 58...like near his Mom's age.

One of the greatest voices in music, and one of the best performances in Super Bowl history
Agree. It’s sad that most people were providing getting their snacks ready and didn’t see this. I’m glad that I caught it live,
Siii porque ahora lo hacen TODO DIABOLICO!!!! ( NO ESTAN A SU ALTURA)😥😥😥
and today, the lack of talent get the Super Bowl shows and they lip sync.
