I know many people might not care, but Imma say it - some of the topics brought up in this game are very realistic (and I'm surprised it had to be this way). Growing up my family wasn't really well off, so I didn't get to have the best food possible. Eating garbage and non-nutritious food did lead me to become flabbier than kids my age. I was bullied a lot in school for this reason. Even in college, things weren't better. This caused me to have social anxiety as well as severe eating disorders. Fast forward to today, I lost almost 30 kgs in a matter of a year at the gym and have become the weight my dietician prescribes as healthy (now starting to boost my muscle development). I have a job as a software engineer at a leading company, and I am also trying to network and meet more people. I also help clinically depressed people as a way of giving back to society. Life isn't good, but honest work did get me this far - hope it takes me further!
Why don't we try to change it so there's cheap healthy food? Also, there's cheap fruits and veggies.

I'm in a similar position with my children right now. The way things are set up you either feed your kids cheap crap food or you don't have enough food for everyone. At one point, I dropped to 75 lbs because I was trying so hard to make sure my kids had enough healthy foods to eat that I wouldn't eat myself. My meals essentially consisted of a bite or two while I was cooking and then the occasional couple bites that were left when my kids were full. These days it's gotten a bit better but I still find myself feeling guilty for eating a full meal and only managing about one a day. It's a shame that healthy food has essentially become a privilege and some parents are forced to choose between feeding the entire family garbage or neglecting themselves. And that's not me trying to be a whole foods organic "crunchy" mom or whatever you call it, simply trying to provide my children with more than just Mac n cheese, hotdogs, ramen, and chef boyardee. If I wanted to give them eggs, fresh vegetables, home cooked, less processed stuff in addition to cheaper things, that was what it came down to
@@chorko696 Honestly, I am constantly wondering why people say healthy food is expensive. If anything, it's cheaper. You eat less of those fatty meat and go with leaner meat (e.g. chicken). Those are cheap. You start eating less dense food like white bread, white rice, etc, and eat more veggies. Switch your snacks to bananas or apples. They make you feel fuller without requiring you to eat the whole family size bag of chips. They're also not as addicting as those salty and sugary chips.
Healthy food on restaurant may be more expensive than fast food. But if you cook it yourself, it's significantly cheaper.
i'm in kind of the same position right now with affording 'good' food but with myself as a student.. my paychecks are stretched thin & a lot of my meals are just caffeine to keep from feeling hungry. sucks that this is what things have come to but hey, i'm sloughing off weight so obviously this must be good for me in its own right lmao 🙄🙄

Insym explaining why he doesn’t use social media only made me support him more lol very good mind set to have on the whole social media deal.
But Insym still learned a lot of modern internet pop culture. Some of which are trashy. Like from yt videos. So it goes beyond just social media. It's on mainstream TV too. There's also lots of good and helpful things on social media. Like yt. I would rather more power to the people and to help indies instead of just mainstream.
the intro to the game is like this; the player presses start, a hand grabs a mask. this is a metaphor for when you are on social media, you are using a mask and not your true self.

Thank you so much for giving the advice. I have two children who want to do RUclips and streaming but, due to multiple open conversations we've had, they're currently focused on studying graphic design/video game development and video editing/game design respectively, they're both in middle school right now, being considered for a STEM/arts school, and planning on attending college, one to study engineering and game design, the other hoping to find a program where he can study medicine for dermatology but still take video editing and game design or graphic design courses. I'm just stupidly proud of them for being so goal oriented at such young ages and actively working towards achieving them. When I was their ages, I had no interest in even CONSIDERING what I'd do as an adult and didn't wind up trying to figure it out until after highschool, which was a HUGE mistake because I could have potentially not only completed my BS in Health Sciences but maybe been in medical school when my health tanked and had more options

Social media. I’ve only got minimal to no contact and that’s because sometimes I really can get caught up on peoples words, it’s not like it sticks with you for life, like words from a loved one Can. I’m someone who doesn’t speak about any of his feelings and pushed everyone away and I can tell you from experience, you should try trusting people from time to time, you can find some really awesome people out their. Don’t push them away

When I was younger, I always wanted to be big on social media (was born 1998). So when RUclips blew up in 2010-2012, I imagined myself becoming famous. Started with IG, posted daily, started Tiktok, gained 120.000 subs, also posting daily. My girlfriend told me, that I was constantly thinking about new content ideas and nothing else. I didn't even notice it myself...
I'm 24 now and don''t have any social media app on my phone anymore since 8 months. Never been happier.
Oh, and I always stayed away from Twitter. I think everyone should avoid that platform, as it will rob you of your free thinking and speech...
Well you can still post or follow your dreams, just don't obsess over it. Or not if you think that makes you happiest.

Thank god someone's in the same boat as me as far as social media goes. Like it can be useful but it's such a distraction and a negative addition to your lifestyle. Plus it's a terrible way to date someone and make long term friends.

I get what Insym was saying but I think people should persue their dreams if they want to be a yt-r. If artists thought that way and were halfhearted then there wouldn't be artists. Artists are discouraged from being artists too.
@a Of course that's true, difference is almost everyone who starts RUclips expects to become big, I'm speaking from experience here but in my case I didn't drop everything for it, people should do it as a hobby until they start getting more successful from though

This is more or less how depression feels, but at a very horrifying level. You hate yourself so much that you stop listening to others around you. Before you know it, you believe that everyone hates you and you put words in their mouth that aren't true at all. Everything goes dark 'cause you refuse to see the good in things, especially yourself. It makes it worse when you go on socials hoping society will accept you, then you start listening to strangers instead of your loved ones.
I mean, I dropped out of highschool because my grandmother (whom was my caretaker at the time) had a stroke and developed severe dementia. I was taking care of her while trying to do online school. Got literally bullied OUT of public highschool (Highscool relationships SUCK especially if they are petty and lie). Tried to handle having a job, tending to my grandmother, and online school all at the same time... yeah, I was so behind that It would have taken another year to finish.
I just dropped out, got a GED (with really good scores, could have skipped college entrance exams) in 4 weeks, and focused on my job and life.
Now I have learned about 80% of jobs don't even need a degree and they barely even look at that anymore. Most HRs are built in from experience internally. Unless you want to be that guy who got manager right after college at some big wig company that everyone actually hates... college isn't worth it.
At least this was for the USA. Idk how great other country schools are but ours SUCK. It's a scam.

I have accounts on all the main platforms, but I don’t use them. The brain rot I get just being on them for 1 minute is unfathomable. Not only are people real toxic, but my social anxiety flares when I’m on them. Plus I have only ever posted a pictures of my cats. Honestly I have to cut myself off of things that are sudo-social media like pinterest because I will go full ADHD brain on them and hyper fixate for hours lol. I feel like, as a child, everyone got made fun of for everything and anything they possibly could have. I didn't think of anyone in particular as a "bully", we were all just children/teens. Children and teens are assholes. Now, some do take it way too far, but aside from like, being drowned in a toilet by a group of bullies giving you a swirly, you can ignore bullies. You can ignore almost all negativity, ESPECIALLY online. Make good habits in real life. Make yourself better. Exercise, educate yourself, eat right. If you have a job, and you're eating a totally healthy diet, and you have a solid exercise routine that you stick to, THEN you can decide if you still care what people say to you online, or maybe you'll see it's not worth your time.
I disagree. Bullying is still bullying. Even by kids. Not every kid is a bully. You even said they were AHs. So sounds kinda contradictory. What about adult bullies? There's bullies who chase after people, or incite violence to people. Like Sophie Lancaster being killed for being goth. I don't think people should be chased off from using things like social media or the internet. And just letting bullies or bad people have everything. I think we should be able to talk about bullying to and encourage a better culture and behavior. Some people and kids get confused and think bullying are instructions for life. Yeah. 40:27 Insym says that some things don't work for all people but says everyone should go to school or college. School doesn't work for everyone. It even gets in the way for some people who prefer to just get to working already or experience life. I heard many hirers prefer experience.

You learn skills that last you BEYOND should everything absolutely collapse indefinitely!
Plumbing - Mechanics - Welding - Wood Working - Carpentry - etc. BECOME A TRADE KEEPER! You can BUILD society that way! It is a lot of hard work but these kinds of jobs can lead you to either starting your own careers to make 6 figure businesses, or they just become staples that never leave! you will ALWAYS have the work! Because your community would always NEED your skills!

If 10 pounds is enough to make you "thin", you were never fat. Darlin, you need something on your bones to grow into an adult. It's ok, you're growing beautifully, a teenager/child don't need to lose weight. You'll grow into your body, and to grow you need substances. I know it's hard, I remember being a teenager thinking I was fat at 50kg. I wasn't, but it took me a long time to realise that. Please don't torture yourself, don't make your body and mind suffer. Eat healthy, exercise yes that's healthy. Don't forget to give yourself treats too, you're only a kid once and sweets are good! You're not going to gain weight from eating popcorn 1 day out of the week. That only happens once you're over 30 lol.
I'm a mum now with two teenagers, life is harder for teenagers these days with all the social media. Don't let someone who doesn't care about you dictate your life. Your obsession in thinking about what they tell you, is nothing to them, you're a fleeting thought to people like that. So don't let them get to you. YOU own your body, no one else. So fuck them and live how YOU choose.

I kinda disagree with Insym there. Insym is a yt-r. If people want to be a yt-r that's their choice and dreams. If artists thought that way there'd be no artists. People discourage people from being a artist too. School is not for everyone. Nor can everyone afford it. It made things worse for some people. School or college is not a guarantee for success. School doesn't teach everything. Hirers said they prefer experience. Some people said they learn more on the internet. School can teach biased things too. I don't see how yt-ing is different from mainstream TV. I prefer more power to the people, and helping indies. Yt-rs cover things that mainstream doesn't.

In general my way to stay happy is removing the "I" and instead try to be a part of a collective, as a cog in the machine. That is the way according to science, it sounds more depressing than it is.
