Rob I am a cancer survivor having a rare tumor on the pituary gland. After three surgeries in the summer of 21 I found your channel not a hunter or fisherman but just the beauty of the ocean was such a calming effect on my brain thru the trauma of what had been through was just part of my daily routine of watching your videos. Just want to say thanks for what you do.

I am a disabled Vietnam Veteran of 71 Years. My favorite fish is Crappie and Catfish, but that is because I am only now retired to a location where I can experience Saltwater Fish. I don't expect you to respond to this note, but I also came here to be involved in Conservation, Preservation and Restoration of the Panama Fisheries and Coral Reef. A friend of mine is also planting Sea Cumbers to help restore the Eco System. I was only here a few months when I became ill and lost my left leg due to a Blood Clot. So it was a setback..., but I am recuperating very well and getting strong enough to go fishing and snorkeling again. Your videos inspire me and motivate me to continue to fight... to accomplish my goals of making a difference here in Panama. I was a special Education teacher in the States and that avocation saved my life. Helping others to develop Survival Skills saved me. I saw coming to Panama as an opportunity to do what I Love... Fishing and Education... and still be involved in making a difference. Thank you. I know you hear this a lot, because of your heart and the things you do for others... but Thank You. I can not really describe adequately, how you have helped me to continue to fight the good fight. But you have. God Bless you and yours...

My top two fish have been blackfish (tautog) and black seabass. I grew up eating bluefish though and it's one of my favorites to eat with simple preparation.
I found a bluefish recipe that blew me away recently. Marinade in 1 cup OJ, and 1/4 cup each of lemon juice, lime juice and olive oil. Add a little zest from each citrus fruit and some everglades fish and chicken. Marinade for 45 min then BBQ.

You should bleed your bluefish (cut the red part of the gills and put them in a pail of salt water) as soon as you bring them into the boat. That will help prevent an oily taste. You also took that fish right home and cooked it and that will help improve the flavor too.

Great video as usual. I've had more fun fishing just running the beaches growing up in Brooklyn N.Y than leaving and going out deep sea fishing at time's. I remember one day with my father we were out fishing like that and we disided to go fish the mouth of New York harbor. I happened to see something moving in the water coming towards us and the harbor in the distance. All of a sudden a United States Navy submarine surfaces. As a kid it was a amazing experience. They came out on the tower and actually stopped right near us. I think it was the captain that yelled over to us if we were catching anything. Me and my brothers were amazed. To my father it was like nothing him being an ex Navy man my dad talked with them for around 5 minutes and off they went into the harbor. It was Navy fleet week in NYC that week. We actually went to it and were actually able to get on that submarine and even talk with it's captain. He remembered us from fishing. It was an amazing time for a 10 year old kid. A memory that stays with you for a lifetime. That's one of the reasons I like watching your videos when you're with your family and little girls. You are giving them those memories and yes they will remember some of them for the rest of their lives. They will remember the best times with Mom and Dad always. Never stop doing that for them. That's what truly family is. Best videos and you show them the best parenting. God bless you Sarah the girls and the crew. Stay safe brother.

Hey Rob you may not see this comment but I still want to put it out there. I’ve been a fan of yours for a very long time. You are my favorite RUclipsr to watch. You’ve brought me happiness since December whenever you post new vids because I’ve been dealing with pneumonia and also pleural effusion. I’m actually having surgery in a week to get rid of the fluid around my lung. I’ve not been able to do anything since December. I would LOVE to come fish/hunt/crab with you once I’m back to normal. God bless man.

Rob was burning the beach up. Nice save on the beach. Could have been really bad. Couple a couple of nice fish. Never had a porpoise take a fish, just about everything else though. Like the simple approach to fish test taste. Looked really good. Was fun to watch. Great video

Awesome video once again. I’ve never been deep sea fishing it is a dream to try on my list. My favourite fist to eat has to either be Lemon Sole or Sea Bass

My favourite fish really depends on the recipe. That meal looked great. Oh and thanks for sharing your wee mishap with us, we learn from one and other.

Rob, first off, I'm glad you're safe! Conditions on the water can change in a split second and it takes a great captain to make quick decisions.
Second, Africa is AMAZING! I just got back from my second time there and I can't suggest going to Seychelles enough. The wildlife and fishing are just amazing! The Indian Ocean is so full of life! The people are amazing. It's like being in a post card. I literally can't say enough good things about it.

Hey Chris, I am from South Africa now living in Stuart Florida. Only been here for 5 months though. As to your comment about Seychelles, you are 100% correct I fished there 4 times. Some of the best fishing in the world.

@@gordonhopkins4658 agreed! I feel like it's straight out of a movie... while I want to tell everyone to visit, I also don't want it to become spoiled. It's like being in a postcard 24/7!

Hey Robert! Love your content. You were the first RUclips personality that I followed, and I never tire of your stuff. I live in Utah and most of my family can’t stand fish. I know, I know, crazy!!! My point is this - I go to Deer Meat for Dinner when I want to fish but can’t, when I want to eat some great fish but can’t, and when I grow tired of the weather here and want to see something beautiful. Thank you for providing me with all of this. Vicarious fishing is better than no fishing!
