- Since we got so many parallels between Stelena and Delena I had to make a video with them. Now you can see how much more Stefan and Elena are romantic and passionate than Damon and Elena. I also had to add in the end Stelena King and Stelena Queen. Love and miss them so much!!
I really hope I won't get as much hate as I did for my first video!!! There's no reason for it! DErs don't try to start an argument defending Delena! You are NOT going to change our minds!!!

I used to be a Delena shipper, but now I'm Stelena because I loved Damon's character when he was single. He was flirty, rash, dangerous, which is what I loved about Damon. But when DE happened, his famous personality (in my opinion) diminished. Elena's personality also changed when she was with Damon. Now that I look back at SE moments, I notice the details such as Stefan holds onto Elena like he never wants to let go. Whereas for me, it seemed Elena and Damon would just run to each other and smash their lips and then have sex. Not saying that DE moments aren't romantic, but SE moments have so much passion in it where I can't even explain it. If that makes any sense...

Their personality’s only changed because of character development. Even the writers of the show mentioned this in an interview once, because Ian was upset that Damon couldn’t have his sarcastic, witty, attitude anymore. However I feel, if Damon stayed the same throughout the whole show, his character would be boring and have no storyline. He would always be known as the womanizer sarcastic Salvatore brother. In my opinion, Elena made Damon into a better person and I thinks that’s beautiful.
@@ang6883As soon as Damon started to believe he was 'in love' with Elena, he tried to mimic Stefan's characteristics because it would get him "the girl." He was miserable and made everyone else miserable. I've literally had DE fans tell me that Damon became "too soft." The most interesting arc was Damon in season one. That was his true, unapologetic self. At least he could feel some joy even though he was upset about Katherine. Season one Damon was the reason people fell in love with Damon.

I have never seen a more real, more believable relationship in a TV series than Stelena. These two had to fight for each other, they cried, they laughed, they shared so much, I wonder how it is even possible not to love them together.
It's really too bad to see Elena screwing everything up because of Damon (HOW can you love someone who killed your brother) and I hope to see her suffer because of her poor choices. I hope she'll start fighting again, to make Stefan see that the old Elena is still in there... (And in the mean time: HOT STEFERINE SCENES! Love the Dobsley chemistry!)
All the above! Frankly, Katherine is slowly getting kinder, while Elena is becoming a narcissistic bitch. These two are swapping places and I see two options here:
1) Either Elena phases out of that brain coma she's in and realizes that she's made terrible choices and she rejects Damon while Katherine is working her way back trough Stefan's heart (redeeming herself and slowly winning). Elena will have to watch bitterly from a distance a romance budding between Steferine while escaping Damon (just like Katherine did in early seasons) and confront Kat once in a while.
2) Or, Elena's just too far gone and Damon can't be alone after all (it would suck if you have 2 versions of Nina Dobrev panning over Stefan while Damon is miserable in his corner until he commits another mass murder and became Klaus 2.0). In this case, Delena would be a terrifying pair (à la Bonnie & Clyde or Lucretia & Bathiatus) who selfishly puts all HER friends in danger (again) for their own benefits, until HER friends give up on saving her and loath Delena and leave them behind.
Personally, I found option 1 more interesting because of Dobsley and my disdain of Damon, but it would be repetitive. So I'm sure the writers will go for an amoral Delena just for the entertainment of it.

Elena should see how bad Damon is, though. They were happily screwing each other's brains out and he still went and destroyed Aaron's life. Doesn't she understand that he's never going to change, not even for his so called love? Aaron is all alone on the world because of her manwhore boyfriend. Not to offend SE's- but honestly, I think that it's great that even though Damon used to be horrible and killed Jeremy, Elena changed Damon in a good way, and still she forgave him, and still she fell in love with him. And Elena hasn't changed that much at all- it is just that she is becoming more independent and strong now that Damon is in her life

Sorry but I'll never be able to see Delena as two people who are "soulmates" or that they're meant to be. I have every respect for the shippers and I'll never insult someone's ship or opinion unless they do it first. Stelena was the heart of the show. Stefan and Elena are epic together and imo, soo much better than Damon and Elena. They have a special bond that Damon and Elena don't and won't have. The only Delena scene I liked was the goodbye scene in 6x22 and it was truly a beautiful scene. One of my favorite scenes in the season in fact. Stelena will always be my otp and Delena will never even come close.

@@gm.8805 I see what you mean but I look at it differently. It was convenient for the writers to completely disregard Stelena as a couple and the love and bond they shared. Same with Bonnie's development, for example, and her love interests. They completely disrespected every ship they did not agree with and kept pushing the Delena narrative. That, on its own isn't bad, but being so disrespectful to any other show's couple which could possibly compete with their main one, for example Bamon, who shared a genuine connection and friendship which could have easily been the foundation for their love story. But yeah, Bamon and Stelena competed with Delena so of course they had to toss in any possible solution to break the core of those two ships. That's just my little rant about the producers of the show and their disrespectful attitudes.

the problem is, the show is still leading on stelena fans and portraying that there’s a chance for stefan and elena to get back together, while elena is still with damon. so technically, it’s delena that they’re ruining, as the show is insinuating the fact that damon and elena’s love defied the universe.
now, another perspective about the bamon situation. the only way those two could’ve been possible is if elena was completely out of the picture. let’s just imagine that the show pitches them together in season 7. it can’t just be that damon is fantasising a truck hitting bonnie one day, then sleeping with her the next day. it would also go against bonnie’s character to get together with her best friend’s boyfriend. it would ruin her character. bonnie needed a stable love interest, like enzo.

Frankly, I wouldn't even want them together. And I ship them. That's all due to Elena's character change when she became a vampire. And as a viewer I never for a second believed that they would have gotten back together after season 4. They didn't lead Stelena fans because they kept pushing the narrative that even against the universe, Delena somehow thrives even if they fight every 5 seconds and mostly seemed obsessed and infatuated with each other in the beginning of their relationship and I just never saw how their affinity would be considered stronger than Stelena's. Even without the prophecy.
As for Bamon, there I blame the writers. Truly. In what kind of scene do the words "Bonnie I love you, the same way Elena loves you" make sense unless it's to spite the fans who ship and long for their relationship. Bamon would have made perfect sense, before or after Elena (considering that they were also cannon in the novel, I never saw why the writers didn't want to pair the two before I noticed all the injustice they did to Kat Graham)
If Elena could have fallen out of love with Stefan and got with Damon, Caroline out of love with Tyler and fallen for Klaus, it doesn't seem impossible for Damon to fall out of love with Elena or at least develop romantic feelings towards Bonnie. Especially in a show that puts all the characters with one another at some point. All except for Bonnie. Wonder why...

Stefan came into Elena's life at a time she needed someone, he tried to help her through everything and tried to give her all the happiness he could, he's even risked his life to keep Elena happy/safe. Lets not forget that he's saved Elena numerous times. Thats what a real relationship is like. Sure, Damon has saved Elena a couple times as well but he also killed her brother, abused her best friend, and hurt a lot of people that she loved. He didnt even let her make her own choices, right or wrong at least Stefan RESPECTED her decisions. Oh and when Elena was SIRED to Damon and he did nothing about it. How's that a true relationship?
The directors are shoved so far up Delena/Damons ass, i think they forgot that in 1x01 Stefan says, 'I am a vampire, and this is my story.' If you're gonna make the whole story delena delena delena might as well change the shows name to 'The Delena Diaries'

I felt in love with this series because of Stelena, so it's obvious that they are and always will be my favourite couple. Epic.
Delena was just toxic. It was difficult to go past season 3 knowing that Elena’s character was just ripped off in pieces just to maintain Delena alive. I can’t see the good in Delena at all. This show was supposed to be Elena going to Stefan then Damon and realizing that her true love was Stefan. That’s how it should have ended even Julie Plec said it and Nina leaving the show destroyed Stelenas endgame, just how it was planned to end. Delena was literally a last minute conclusion.

Even Damon's blood couldn't help that much. She didn't die, thrashing about trying to breathe aka drowning, but her body was EXHAUSTED. One second she was breathing, the next second she wasn't.
Her accident was too close to her previous escape from death.

+Faith Lin I will admit that Damon and Elena held some appeal for me in the earlier seasons even though I was a hardcore Stelena fan. But after season 3, all of their development diminished. Instead, Damon and Elena's relationship was nothing but a cheesy soap opera between two unbelievably co-dependent people. In order to make them seem epic the writers started rewriting history and trashing Stefan and Elena's left and right because they couldn't think of any other way to prop up Delena.
You're absolutely right. The way Caroline Dries & Julie Plec manipulated the entire story to make Damon & Elena happen was so wrong. They never liked Stefan & Elena. It showed in "Season 3". They deliberately let Stefan and Klaus raise hell to bring Damon & Elena closer together. Which ultimately led to the events that unfolded in "Season 4". DE Fans say Julie & Caroline did not put no inconsistencies in the story. I'm going to point out a few:
* In the episode "Memory Lane" (2x04) Katherine compelled Damon to leave her alone in a flashback. Damon would have remembered that when he was in transition. The scene was fake, because, in the episode "History Repeating" (1x09) Damon revealed to Stefan Katherine never compelled him & his love for her was real.
* Elena meeting Damon first was also fake. Damon was in Mystic Falls to not only torment Stefan he was there because of the comet. Remember that Crystal Damon wanted from Bonnie? The one Emily Bennett used to seal the vampires inside the tomb? Emily used the comet to channel the Crystal's power for the spell to work. The only way the Crystal would work again the comet had to return. Elena's parents died May 23, 2009. The comet passed after the kids went back to school so why would Damon be in Mystic Falls? Damon's behavior in the first 5 episodes of "Season 1" was scary. The council would have been in vampire mode long before school started, because, Damon hunted every night.
Bottom Line:
You do not manipulate the primary story to please nobody. That's why 2 million viewers threw in the towel, because, they didn't like how Caroline Dries & Julie Plec was handling the story.
It's heartbreaking. "The Vampire Diaries" was the highest rated series on "The CW". It ranked in the Top 10 for being one the highest rated Primetime series by Entertainment Weekly & Rolling Stone. "The Vampire Diaries" was giving their competitors especially "The Twilight Saga" a run for the money. What's done is done. Because of their undying commitment with fanservice Julie Plec & Caroline Dries have destroyed "The Vampire Diaries" at the core. I don't blame Nina Dobrev for leaving. When I heard the news I wasn't surprised.

Personally, I have given up hope. Delena is endgame. That much is clear. Like I said in my OP, I don't have anymore hope in SE. The writers have crapped all over that relationship and crapped all over the fans. But even if I know they are dead, I will NEVER ship Delena's disgusting relationship. I will never support them or root for them. And that is my right. Yesterday my sis & I were talking about how in S5 when Stefan lost his memories. She said I think Elena was trying to get Stefan to remember again bcuz, now like Katherine enjoyed both of the Salvatore brothers "loving" her cuz Stefan was compelled to fall in love with Katherine but Damon wasn't cuz he fell in love on his own. Also, I said I think she knew that someday she would get back with Stefan. I hated that in S3, Elena kissed Damon at the motel but now that she's actually in a "realtionship" with him, she can't kiss Stefan? So many Dullena scenes are copies of Stelena but less romantic & loving. Like the scene where they were trapped in the jail cells & their bed scenes. The first time Elena & Stefan made love was such a beautiful scene but the Elena & Damon scene :p. It wasn't making love at all, it was sex! Making love is when it's slow, gentle, pure, loving, & romantic. Sex is just when too people are horny & it's rough, hard, all over the place, & just plain nasty! The thing I can't get and it should make everyone wonder is why they gave Delena similar situations and scenes to Stelena, literally the same. This is 100% correct. It always disgust me the lengths Damon fans will go to to excuse Damon's horrible actions. And the fact that these are women that say these horrible things about Caroline and Andie is disturbing.

While they were attracted to him beforehand, the fact that he compelled them after they found out what he was calls into question how genuiene their attraction is after the fact. Even if all he did was take away their fear, he also took away their right to process this information and decide for themselves if it's something they wanted to pursue. If Damon had abused, mistreated and threatened Caroline the way he did in S1, only without the compulsion, would she still have those feelings for him? If Damon had told Andie straight up that he was a vampire and a murderer, would she have eventually been okay with that and come back to him on her own? I don't think so, but the truth is we'll never really know because these women were denied the chance to deal with this the natural way. All forcing their fears away did was make it easier for Damon to victimize these women. And speaking of Andie, I believe he did more than just remove her fears. He also compelled her to believe she was falling in love with. That officially makes it rape in my eyes.
And I believe most people do acknowledge that what Katherine and Isobel did was wrong--at least some of the people I talk to do. It's just we don't see people making so many excuses for these women like fans do for Damon, so there's no point in arguing the matter. This is just my opinion on the subject.

It's tragic, but completely true that a lot of girls would go for guys like him, however we don't know if that would've been Caroline or Andie's choice because Damon compelled them before they could make a choice. But judging from their initial reactions, I have my doubts.

It's funny because I just found this series and at first I loved Stelena, then I saw all the tension b/t Delena and I just wanted it to happen so she could get it out of her system. Then I started noticing how Damon always tried to control her decisions under the guise of "love", but I'm sorry when you love someone you will do anything to make them happy, even go along with their stupid decisions. And you certainly won't go killing people when that "relationship" is tested. I really loathe the idea that the writers made Damon's good side tied to Elena, that is just the stupidest thing ever. I am so glad I watched this. I don't understand how people can ship Delena. Maybe it's because I'm an adult and most of the fans are teenagers. i actually do understand what you are saying. And honestly I dont think stelena sucks or anything like that, i love stelena, like you said it has ups and downs and stefan respects her, would do everything to keep her safe, it is real and pure, I gotta say it is beautiful and I wished I had someone like him but Delena... damon knows he is not good for her and even though they are currently together he said so many times "I dont deserve you, but my brother does", he knows he shouldnt have the one thing he will protect above all, he knows they shouldnt be together... but when he thinks about her he becomes a better person, she s the thing that makes him selfless... and at the end of the day see two people together regardless of all the cons, and against the odds just gives me hope i guess.

I was thinking the same exact thing. Like this season should just be figuring Delena out and fixing Elena with all her problems. That's what the writers are probably doing because every episode Delena is like half the plot with all their conflicts and what not. But next season they can bring Stelena back, especially considering they've made it clear Stefan would still be with Elena if given the chance. I also think that they've already satisfied Delena fans enough and now it's Stelena time again. I'm not worried about how Delena hooked up last episode. I mean now all Delena has is the physical aspect which won't be enough for Elena sooner or later.

I'm not offending Stelena here because i ship both Delena and Stelena but I like Damon as a character- Stefan is more safe for Elena, but he doesn't have as much passion as Damon does- it's more romance. Elena is still free -- there is no sire bond. He compelled Elena to forget him when they first met because he wanted her to be happy. Listen Stephen was the one who made him drink blood, killed his Father, he never treated Caroline how she deserved and for the good points atlast Damon was the better man. He saved Elena's life a thousand times, saved Stephen and also wanted to die for his brother and Elena. So even Stephen lost his mind at one or the other time. So ding dong just brushed up your brain. I'm not telling that Damon was right but neither Stephen was right the whole time. Elena had the choice and she chose Damon. and that's it

There are no words for the brilliant masterpiece that this is. What I loved most about is that you didn't need to edit or use any tricks to show the differences between SE or DE. It's imply THERE on screen. It's not that DE doesn't have it's good moments - it's simply a VERY different love story than SE and it's a love story that I don't see as EPIC, romantic, destined etc. The beauty of Stelena is the simplicity & honesty of their love. Any viewer of TVD should watch this and should come to one irrefutable realization that Stelena is endgame.

Daisy MeRollin tbh I never looked at Paul Wesley and thought of him as a really good looking character, I'm not saying he isn't it just never came to me, although I prefer Damon as the character because of his sarcasm which always draws me in and Stefan is too serious. On the other hand I prefer Paul Wesley as he is more funny and relaxed in real life so that does stand out a lot of me
