BMW and land rover did a sneaky with the solenoids and changed them so you had to buy the complete compressor! Sold hundreds of bags when I was at BMW so very common, the glue starts to unstick around the cups and once the car hits the bump stops the bags tend to wear a hole. Full marks for not pulling the jack straight out, can lead to the new ones tearing if they drop to the bump stops
Something I noticed doing the bag on the other side was the destroyed bump stop. That was the side that drops. I think I’ll be ordering a pair of bump stops.
@@Thecarislife must have done it for a while, I'd put the money aside for a compressor just incase as they don't like over use, well that's what BMW told me to up sale lol. You've done the right thing getting it sorted quickly
Wasn't clear to me. Did you replace the exit valve solenoid or kept the original one? Bought one like the one you oyu got and I am afraid it will not fit either. Thanks
I didn’t end up changing it. It seems there are two different types. The one you and I have are a little less common. Having done the bags and the solenoid block my suspension didn’t drop again

@kendragndrivefansuk3853 I still have the compressor of my old 2002 E39 touring. I think it looks exactly the same in a different mount.
nice work sir - but what I and everyone else watching this video wants to know is - "WHAT THE BLOODY HELL DID YOU DO TO THE FRONT OF YOUR HOODIE?" :)
Cheap hoodies and welding/grinding don’t mix 😂
Think he forgot to remove his Halloween costume lol
We can't have a sagging rear end. Good job.

Yes it did. I think it was more so the valve block that helped

BMW Sweden want 2800:-euro for 2 airbag and a new compressor?🤔🧐 i pay 1200euro at another workshop?
I would imagine the compressor is the expensive part. Fortunately I’ve not had to change one yet 🤞
