First time I see your channel and I really like what you are doing. Your revewing style is very different from other car channels, and I like it. Keep up the good work!
Hi, duane howard. The E 53 actually uses a different engine than the C 43. The 53 uses an inline-6 cylinder with a single turbo, whereas your car uses a bi-turbo V6. We believe this is why the two cars sound different from one another. Hope this helps and thanks for watching!
@@AutoAcademics nah, sounds like excess slack in the timing chain at idle, caused by failing hydraulic cam chain tensioner. It goes away when revving as the hydraulic pressure goes up. Typical in SL550's as well, which also has a different engine.
I think you should do your own driving tests instead of telling us the 0-60 times stated on the manufacturer's website. The 0-60 times listed by manufacturers is often understated. This is especially true with Audi and Mercedes.
We hear ya, chancy319. Unfortunately, testing equipment to get legitimate results, such as a Vbox data acquisition meter, can be rather expensive. Plus, multiple runs should be made for authenticity, which can be difficult (and risky) on public roadways. We always want to be as honest with our viewers as possible and feel it would be a waste of your (and other viewers') time to post results that may be questionable. One day we plan on having the resources for that type of testing, but for now we share results from those whom we feel get accurate results. Personally, we'd rather receive and share a potentially "slow" 4.4 sec. 0-60 time than an unrealistic fast time. We hope you understand our reasoning behind what we currently do and we appreciate your comments. As always, thanks for watching!
@@AutoAcademics Understood. You can find some cheap performance meters. There are some that go for anywhere between a hundred bucks up to a thousand. There's an article on C/D that reviews a bunch of them: www.caranddriver.com/features/a15389122/do-inexpensive-performance-meters-work-feature/ I'm also pretty sure you can find an airstrip in GA that will let you do speed tests. I love your reviews btw. Just throwing suggestions.
Are you sure its limited to 130 ?Mercedes limits all their cars to 155 mph usually. And its an 53 AMG so with the drivers package it should be open upto 167 mph. The V8 models go even higher than that.
It's our understanding that because it's a convertible it has a lower (governed) top-end speed. Not to mention, we acquired those performance specs directly from Mercedes. Hope this helps and thanks for watching!
@@AutoAcademics The reason why I think thats weird is because I drove an E Class Cabrio (Not AMG) recently and I took it to the Autobahn. I was reaching 150 miles per hour without a problem. Why would they slow down their US Spec Cars for no reason. I found a link tools.mercedes-benz.co.uk/current/passenger-cars/e-brochures/e-class-coupe-and-cabriolet.pdf it says 155 miles here too. I am 100% sure they told you wrong Information. Or for some weird unknown reason Mercedes USA limits their convertibles. Which seems absurd, its an AMG. Nice review btw.
We're happy you liked it, makabongwe Iwandile. We try to switch it up to provide different vibes for each of our videos. Hopefully, you'll check out some of our other stuff, too. Thanks for watching!
It's starting to wear on us now, too, inflow divide. That's why we couldn't get any better mileage out of the car. Chris kept it in Sport+ mode almost ALL the time! LoL
Because while the engine is nice, PrometheusOfficial, actual buyers like to know what their $16k worth of options looks like, as well, before buying. Non-luxury cars that we review take way less time to go over their features and options lists so maybe you'd enjoy one of those videos more? At any rate, thanks for watching.
Chris you the homie good to see a brother doing proper car reviews!
I thought John Wall was out for the rest of this NBA season. No wonder you have plenty of time to watch car reviews. Keep that leg elevated.
Thank you, john wall. We appreciate your support!

Thank you very much, Jean-Michel Couturier. We truly appreciate your kind words. Thanks for watching!
My c43 doesn't sound like that. Something is wrong with that engine. Bearings, lifters etc

Always great to see you and Ben Wayne doing a luxury review.👍
Btw, what the heck is knocking around in that motor?😲
Something's not right with that engine. I've heard other 53 engines, but they never sound like that one.
We appreciate you, Man O War!
Great review as always!
We appreciate you, Cornbread 70's!

Great review!
Thank you, universal achiever!

How does it take him almost 5 minutes to start talking about the engine...?
