From observation globally - there's difference in politics between "selling" and "delivering", and politicians who sell division, rarely deliver what they promised. "you must be divisive otherwise you're selling nothing' is the motto of politicians who polarised the public debate to the point where people don't listen to each other, and can't stand each other. And look where it got French? Nowhere.
la France insoumise, was classified as far left. Just nobody made a fuss about it. What is a more interesting question is why the far right gets instantly triggered when they are correctly classified?
The American term "Republic" doesn't say anything. A Republic can either be a democracy (the majority decides) or an oligarchy (a minority decides). Which one is it?
