Hi Jared, Bulacan is pure Tagalog because that’s where this dialect came from. Most of our revolutionary heroes are from there. The first seat of government was in Bulacan. The greatest Filipino poet in Philippine Literature, Francisco Balagtas came from Bigaa, Bulacan. This type of literature is called Balagtasan and it’s being taught in schools starting grade school.

Thanks for sharing po i grew up in caloocan and moved to qc my sister bought a house in bulacan we are currently in bulacan now im quiet worried if what's the language in bulacan if they can speak tagalog or what 🤣 im so happy they speak tagalog 🤣 i guess i need to learn more 🤣 one thing i noticed roads in bulacan are so narrow and need to emphasize more to side walks and also public transpo i hope the government will improve bulacan we need more public transpo here unlike in metro manila there are trains everywhere single motorcycle/ebike are common and single bikes unlike in metro manila you can easily ride a tricycle in a cheap ride fee unlike here it's pretty expensive

Balagtasan is sort of unrehearsed version of “whose line is it anyway” but it can go on for hours on end. It’s like an impromptu poetry but in debate format. You should check it out.

From what I understand, it’s because of the limited land/resources. Since there are a lot of Filipinos, the law prioritizes the citizens to own a piece of their land. That is why it is more difficult for foreigners to own properties. I think it’s also to prevent the country to be bought & owned by more foreigners since the reality is in terms of buying power, foreigners can easily buy properties because their money has a higher value than PH peso. They can do so but it should be a shared property with a Filipino.
Even if the law doesn’t recognize foreigners who were born & grew up here as Filipinos, the people will still conseder & see them as Filipinos. It’s the same with my Chinese relatives. They are full Chinese but they feel more Filipino than Chinese. They are also proud to be Chinese-Filipinos.

    Jus sanguini (law of blood)
    Jus soli (law of land)
The USA and Canada have both Jus Sanguini and Jus Soli. For example, with Jus Soli, anyone who is born in the US (regardless of the nationality of their parents) is automatically a US citizen. In Jus Sanguini, if at least one parent is American, regardless of where the child is born, they are American. The republicans are trying to change the constitution to follow only Jus Sanguini. A lot of pregnant tourists time their deliveries inside any US territory to have American kids.
The Philippines only has Jus Sanguini. This is what the Republicans in the US want.

Mayroong tinatawag na principle of "jus soli" o right of soil at "jus sanguinis" o right of blood. Hope this helps, kababayan!

I am delighted 😊 that a man from India 🇮🇳 learned Tagalog. What helps him.
1 Tagalog has some Tamil words although few.
2 Tamil and Hindi are harder languages to learn than Tagalog. 3 The average Indian was taught at least 3 languages: Hindi, English and a local language. Knowing more than 1 language helps in learning a new one. In opposition, many Americans just know 1, English, but struggle to learn a 2nd language, mostly Spanish or French. Blame the American education system.

  • @ryanmark7403

HI Jared! let me answer your question about the citizenship. There are two principles when it comes to acquiring citizenship, JUS SANGUINI and JUS SOLI. The philippines follow the JUs Sanguini principle, meaning your citizenship is primariliy distinguished by your blood. You are a filipino if your parents (both) or one of your parents is filipino or with filipino blood. Canada and the US follow the jus soli principle, where your citizenship is determined where you were born. so if you were born in a canadian or us territory, you are considered a citizen. I think one of the reasons why jus soli is the principle your country follows is because US and Canada are immigrant countries, built by immigrants so you cannot use the bloodline principle. because of mixed culture. i hope my explanation helps.

Ang galing mo Sir Jared, i wish i could meet you if ever you come to the Philippines and bring you to my province, Ilocos Norte though it might not be as beautiful as of those from the Visayas or in Mindanao.
Sir Mych Better, thank for considering our Country your own country. Bullying happens not only for those from other countries, it also happen to us Filipinos. Sadyang may mga taong ipinanganak na bully. Continue loving the Philippines!
