I'm a Yankees fan and I admit that it is 2022 all over again. This was a team with the best record in baseball less than a month ago and were outback to win about 105 games. Now they will be lucky to win 90 games and squeak into the playoffs! They are now the Dallas Cowboys of baseball. All the potential and talent but can't do anything with it!
I love that analogy and comparison to the Cowboys. The Dodgers are the Dallas Cowboys of baseball in the Postseason: they'll win 100+ games and then be one and done every year.
What potential and talent? You mean Torres, LeMahieu, Grisham, Rodón, Volpe, Stanton, Davis, Holmes, Domínguez...
And Boston was predicted at the beginning of the season to finish dead last and the Yankees were predicted to finish first. For the first couple of months it went according to plan but once Boston played New York things changed. It is a long season so we never can tell what the standings will be at the end of the season. Honestly at the beginning i was hoping for a .500 team 81-81 but now things have changed and maybe they will change again. Baseball is a game of ebbs and flows. You just have to be hot at the end of the season with most of your players healthy to have a shot at a championship

They don't hit, run the bases poorly, cannot stay healthy, pitching is mostly poor, most of the lineup is an 0 -4 and this closer has been awful for two months. Other than that.........
