What I find consistently remarkable about your work Bill is the ability to visualize multi-colored parts in the intermediate stages of building as the assembled end result. I find it distracting when I try to make stuff, but it never phases you! Cool work, great methods and brilliant ability my friend! Model on!!!

Very Cool! Thanks so much for the inspiration. Your books are a great resource. I started building with a Space 1999 Ray gun and made a great shield (Lagatha's shield from VIkings) out of EVA foam.
Love how each material produced super clean builds! also TNT foam ftw :)

You and Andrew have inspired my 16YO son to get into foam smithing and he has made some amazing props: Destiny Hunter knives, Titanfall guns, and a full Halo ODST costume. This video however, makes me want to give it a try. I know it's ambitious to build a Palindrome as my first prop but I have some pretty well developed modeling skills and all the tools except the oscillating sander. Your how-to is really well done. Wish me luck!

What kind of ventilation do you have in your shop when using contact cement? My shop is in my basement and I have a single egress window to use for ventilation. In the past I've gone upstairs to my garage with the door open to use large quantities of contact cement but I am wondering what type of solution I could rig up in my basement for when I only want to glue together smaller pieces.

i have been wstching your videos for a while and love them (its why i subscribed) this just opened my eyes, i've been wanting to do full armour but have always seen it as difficult, you took a pvc pipe, foam and glue and made something magical.
i want to first build a helmet that embodies Sailor Moon, but instead of hair pigtails make segmented sections to look like pigtails 😊 have you ever made something like a segmented whip using foam? (its closest thing i can think of)
im really loving you prop builds there really helping me out with my builds im starting to build the bladerunner pistol and im having good and hard time with it and i wanted to see if you would like to take a wack at and maybe make a how to video

If you are using foam floor mats, how would you make the layers?
Just curious - Which rotary tool are you using in the build? The parts list links to the Dremel on Amazon, but that's a completely different body than what's displayed.

I mean I see the Sci-fi weapons that you build in your videos and the 2 weapons I'm asking about seems like both would be 2 interesting challenges I'd like to think that your up to the challenge of building them I'd like to see you try in any future videos .

Punished Props yeah I did a raygun last month on my channel, had a hard time sanding layers flush since they got to thin for my liking, but there's always a next time, channels so small I got time to improve be for people see the things I do lol

+Psycho Sam A jigsaw would do the trick, but know that it doesn't make as refined cuts as a bandsaw.

Crafting foam is beyond expensive here =/ Even the thin white stuff you use would probably cost you roughly 5 euros for a 25cm quare xD
