Been Training for 2 and a half weeks, used a few free diving techniques, the Wim Hof method, got to 2:31, can def do 3 min or more physically but i am doing this to get over a fear of drowning/not being able to breath, so give me a few more weeks to get there mentally
Hi I would advise you to stop using the wim hoff method for freediving as it hyperventilation. It removes co2 from your blood which is what allows you to hold your breath longer without feeling the need to breath. It is actually quite dangerous for free diving as not having that reflex to need to breathe can cause easy blackouts if you are not careful. Research tidal breathing that is what you should be using
The Wim Hof method, along with many other breathing techniques, can be beneficial for trauma recovery, health, and overall well-being, but they are not suitable for freediving. In fact, having higher levels of CO2 in your body is key to holding your breath longer/safer, even though it may cause discomfort and the urge to breathe. CO2 buildup is beneficial in breath-holding because it helps the body regulate oxygen levels more efficiently. While Wim technique has its place, it should not be used in water, as hyperventilation can lead to dangerous situations like shallow water blackout.
Something that’s fun: breathing out fully then holding it for 45 seconds when you finally breath in it gives a good feeling
Damn that was a terrible headache
If you can actually do that mad respect
I do this when taking bong rips
Love it! Great videos flo!!!!

3 minutes is FOR beginners?

Yeah hommie I'm hitting 3 minutes. No joke it's mostly a co2 tolerance reaction that's making you think you need to breath leading to tapping out.
Do gert leroys( youtube name) 3 minutes breath hold video. You'll realize realm quick what I'm saying.
I start have co2 panic reaction at about 2 minutes which is what's holding me back from 4 minutes. I hit 3 minutes though
@Tyler_LaFave damn bro, my body starts panicking at like 10 seconds no joke 😅😂☹️
I can do 2 minutes, after that I feel like my brain is about to take permanent danage 😅
With practice it'll get easier and more enjoyable 😉
I can only hold for 40 seconds so I guess I'm just bad at holding my breath
