    Awesome drone shots,this reminds me diving cape Brett,and waiweri rock 15 odd years from a 4.2 metre tinny in premo conditions spearing pinkies ,bluemaomao ,golden snapa big trevaly at the far end of hole in the rock at 70 feet in crystal clear blue water and burling for LG snapa and shooting some solid kingfish ,the area was always teaming w fish and when the Bluewater was in close you often seen marlin swimming by or jumping blue marlin chasing skip jacks ,really a special place for not only spearfishing but line fishing also and plenty of crays and as for snapa snooping can be a fantastic coast line for it.....keep up the work Ollie.

    Awesome video again :). I was just wondering about the diving around NZ, seems like you've got a lot of sheer cliffs into the ocean...under water in must drop off pretty quick, no? What are your average dive depths while you're spearing? I'm out here on the west coast of BC, Canada and our topography looks very similar...here it depends where you dive, but most of what I've been spearing (rock fish, ling cod, and flounder) are around 30-50' for rock fish, Lings are a little deeper, anywhere from 80-40' (I can't get much past 80' so I don't know if they are deeper or not....yet), and flounder can be had anywhere from 40-10'...as long as you have a sandy bottom. Keep the awesome vids coming....oh...and extra kudos for uploading in 1440p...all those awesome colours and details are amazing!!

    • @olliecraig-primalpursuit
      @olliecraig-primalpursuit  4 года назад +1

      Hey thanks mate! it's really a mixture around NZ with most having a gradual reef drop off, with a lot of the outer lying islands with more of a sharp drop off into deep water. Most of NZ's diving can be done below 10m, with more of the deeper weedline species 10-20 max. If someone can dive to 15m, they will tick off most species. I haven't speared a flounder yet! will have to tick that one off! glad the quality is coming out ok!

    I thought you were some one who respected fish, you didn’t brain any of the kahawai and trevally and pretty sure you gutted that trevally alive, 👎 unsubscribed

      It's called 'editing'. Not everyone wants to see knives going into fishes brains and ripping the guts out. I brain every single fish I shoot before removing guts and gills. I do respect fish, I do not however, respect keyboard warriors like yourself who have probably never handled a wild fish in their lives and like to jump to conclusions!
