I haven't find any other content creator that makes me want to go back and re watch their videos. You have talent for sure but, also a light that shines within you💗. The times that I have used your videos to get motivated, inspired or some times just to relax and get my thoughts together, is countless. Hi Allison, I've done a lot on stenciling. Use a thick paint and go light because it will bleed under the edges. That has been the main issue for me. If you try it, you may want to start on a practice piece first. Love how your little library turned out!❤❤❤

Your maple 🌳 is beautiful. When we lived in Wisconsin, we had 4 pretty maple trees🍁. Love the little library 💕 we have them throughout our community. You are so creative. 🌸 The music was precious, too.

I love your outdoor flowers and veggies. Maybe you should consider vanishing your plant bed so that they can last longer and to prevent the dull look 😊.
Taping stencils to the wall works best!
The one time I used stencils for a painting project, it was letters and numbers and there were spots where the paint leaked out or missed. But for what I was doing, I liked how it added a bit of uniqueness and a slightly distressed or worn look. I think it may just depend on the stencils and the type of vibe you're going for! Excited to see what you choose to do with the island!

Your little library is so cute! For the little dollhouse pieces, you could spray with shellac or some kind of sealer (from the spray paint section) to protect them from the weather. You could seal the whole house too to help it’s paint last longer 🤗

Your home is always so put together. pretty! I love to Crochet ! I like the grass so nice. the book house looks great! Love your mug " Palmers Mom " I've done stencil and liked it for a while, then painted over it when I got tired of it. a good coat of paint, so refreshing.
Stencils worked super well for me! I did a vine border around my parent’s living room for them when I was in high school, and it’s still there and holding up well 14 years later! I think I used acrylic paint.

hi allison! i think doing the kitchen island is a GREAT idea!! especially because like you said if you don’t like it you can paint over it :) poa: if you stencil it use a sponge with a handle (not a flat one, a big round one with a flat bottom) you can find them at any craft store, amazon or maybe even a home improvement store. make sure to dip it in the paint and that kind of pat the sponge brush kind of dry- don’t go over the stencil with a lot of paint because it’ll get messy and won’t appear smooth! color recommendation: a light peach/orange or the blue you did your door to tie it in!🥰

I love the idea of adding some character to your island! Have you considered peel-and-stick wallpaper for it? I have used it for projects and it's easy to cut, apply, and line up patterns. Bonus is that when you are tired of it you can just peel it off and put up something new!

Go for the stenciling of your island. A soft color would look nice, it would give you a soft textured look

I have a sister who is not a crafter or artist whatsoever and she did some stenciling on her walls with those plastic stencils and it turned out nice. If she could do it, yours will turn out fantastic!

Maybe a peel and stick removable wall paper would work on your island? The stencil would probably work okay, but if you ever want to change it back to original the wallpaper option would be easy-peasy❤

I used a stencil recently for the nursery for the first time, and I don't know if I did anything wrong on my end but it didn't work, when we lift it, it ended up taking all the layer of paint and wall 😦😦😦 so Idk if i needed to prime the wall first or do anything. My house is a new construction, idk the quality of the pain they used, it could have been that.

SIDE NOTE : if your plant has red on it, it means the plant is getting too much sunlight.
Remove the tall dead palm leaves from your plant. The energy going needlessly to them in vain, will bump up the growth of the new up growth new leaves.
