Good morning. I don't have Instagram. Fb only
Wrocław was the first city I visited in Poland from Scotland and I loved it.
It’s fab!
@@dabbleandtravel Enjoy your time there, I stayed in these Fab large apartments next to Galeria Dominikańska called Empire Apart OVO, recommend for anyone staying. Also loved Poznan, Bydgoszcz and Gdansk.
@@TheCraigaberdeen I am from Wrocław and I travelled to Gdansk and it was great.
Dwarf in Lviv was donated by the city of Wrocław. After 1945, most of the inhabitants of Lviv moved to Wrocław. It was a time when Poles were resettled from the territory of former Poland. Time when Lviv became part of the former USSR. The Orange Alternative ridiculed communism. Wasn't it a comic arrest by the political police just because you looked like a leprechaun? Of course, there was a flip side to such an arrest, that is, the consequences. These people were often beaten and tortured. Therefore, these figurines are a tribute to them by the next generations. Silesian dumplings are a popular addition instead potatoes. The iconic dish in Silesia consists of: beef roulade, Silesian dumplings, gravy and hot red cabbage.
Thank you for watching and for your comment!
My place on earth...I found happiness here
❤️
This kind of fat on bread is the best with sour pickles, pickle is the game changer in this dish, and very nice when you eat it after vodka, it's also makes kind of shield in your stomach, when you drink alot of vodka.
Oh really! That makes sense!
More fat, longer benders😂
I am impressed how much you know about the places you visit. This movie reminded me why I love this city and why I live here. You must come in summer. Pubs by the river, concerts, boat trips ... another city. Thank you very much!
Thanks so much! We appreciate it! 😊
I just watched ‘ High Water’ on Netflix and wanted to know more about Wrocław and landed here! Thank you for sharing this beautiful video! So different to Australian cities!

Thank you so much 🥰 guys! Great presentation of Wroclaw! You rule!
Thank you!
Wrocław has a lot of interesting nooks and crannies, not only in the center, due to the backwaters of rivers and the combination of Polish-German architecture, have fun visiting and having fun ;)
Thanks for watching!
Wrocław był zniszczony w 70%
Polacy wszystko odpudowali.
Przed wojną był dużo piękniejszy.
Nie odpudowano dużo zabytków
Are you sure there are old polish buildings? They must have been really old. Since the 12th century, the population was pretty mixed. Since the 13th century, polish people were allready a minority in Wroclaw. Its due to the Ostsiedlung. Btw, it was just like a "come back". Germanic tribes left these places beforehand due to the big migration in the west of germanic tribes. And slavic tribes came to the places and settled down. It was cultural german since the 13th century, so yes, its possible but really unlikely to have a building that is older.
L has a little line through the middle which makes it sound like a w in English
Oooo! Thanks for letting us know!
I miss Wroclaw, it's really tranquil this time of year, but also cold😁
I really liked the view from the top of that Cathedral in Ostrow Tumski, you get to see more than from that one u visited, have great time x

Guys! I hope your next stop will be in Gdansk! You need to see the medival square there and all the gilded tenament houses, to me it's the most beautiful old town in Poland - but then again I can't be objective as I grew up there 😉You need to go to the cost and see Gdansk 🙏And you'll love the history there...
Stay tuned 🥰😉
Wrocław has so much to do, like UNESCO site Centennial Hall with huge fountain or best ZOO in the country. It does use river very much, especially in summer.
In winter it has one of the best Christmas Markets in Europe 👌🏻

Polish cities are between the most amazing in Europe, they are (still) not as much known as other ones in Spain or Italy (due to its History, and belonging to ex-sovietic bloc, which still untill today remain in many spirits), and it's now changing !
It's sad Poland cities was must rebuild because of WW2, like if you look of footage from example Warsaw before the war the city was beautiful
Wrocław
Been a long time, really missed you guys, hope you can visit us again here in the Philippines. This place is super awesome 🙏😍🤗♥️

I love poland love peoples so nice place
That thing with the beer is that you could drink 5 beers or more underground and you are not feeling drunk but whenever you come outside you definetly will feel it. i think that is what they meant for.
Maybe!
Wow great movie. I live in Poland, I have been to Wrocław many times because my sister is studying there
Thanks for watching!
Hi, your videos are a real treat, so I decided to ask - are you guys going to visit the eastern Poland too? A believe you could enjoy seeing it very much, especially Lublin region, with it's landscapes, and unique architectural style, called Lublin Renaissance. You asked for recommendations, so I recommend Lublin itself (did you know that you can see - just for example - the Byzantine style frescoes in Poland?), and Kazimierz Dolny, the officially most beautiful little town in Poland (it may be little, but if you imagine that you can see everything, what is worth of seeing, in less than three-four days, you are very wrong...). Also local foods are really good - oh, just come and see for yourself...
And have much fun during all your journey :)
I absolutely adore Lublin, its location on the hills (most cities in PL are rather flat), brilliant twist on renaissance architecture and eastern influences are enchanting. The only problem are the connections: while you can get there from Warsaw with a train no problem in 2 hours (I believe it's finally this after a long reconstruction), but from Kraków, it usually takes some 5 hours, which is so bad, it should be 3 at the most, given the distance and importance of the place.
Your pronunciation is brilliant!💪💪💪
Thank you Ewa!
Stay safe both of you. I've just seen a video from Krakow! 🙈
Thanks for watching! We will 😀
Hi guys great vlog very funny in parts molly had you running after her to see the noam’s anyway thanks for sharing and catch you in the next one Ps great editing molly as always.
Hahahaahah! Thank you Garreth!
I knew you would like Wrocław.
In summer it is even nicer.
When it comes to meals, in Poland hats are removed while eating. Younger people do not have a problem with it, while older people may look at it badly.
Thanks for watching! Matt was wearing the hat because his hair was too long and if he takes it off he will be all over the place 🥺
@@kasoro5261 What does hospitality have to do with it?
I watch the channel because I think it's great to watch.
Which doesn't mean I can't comment.
I am not writing this to insult someone, just to save someone from unpleasant situations. I clearly wrote that young people do not mind.
The situation is similar with shoes in the apartment. If the owner does not say anything, we always take off our shoes when entering someone's apartment. Is it inappropriate?
In my opinion, it is very useful, and it is worth knowing the customs of others.
Congratulations. 170K. Well deserved. Have a wonderful weekend. x
Thanks Nicky! ❤️❤️
Hi guys, awesome video as usual! Love accompanying you both as you discover cool places! I’m actually travelling around Poland solo later this year, so it’s super exciting to see you explore cities I am going to discover too! I’m interested in how covid is impacting your travels in Wrocław, as it seems as though masks are not everywhere anymore. Did you have to check in, show vaccination certificates, have tests etc? Can’t wait til your next video! Happy travels guys! Enjoy! Cheers from Australia!! Marg

A really great episode. I thoroughly enjoyed this one.

Perhaps you could also look at the city from the Sky Tower's observation terrace? 200 metres above ground. On a clear day you may even see the Sudety mountains from there.
Thanks for the recommendation!
Beautiful film!
Thank you!
@@dabbleandtravel It's not the last film from Wrocław and Lower Silesia, I suppose?
Hiya, always watching and liking and sharing. Not always commenting. Lovely video. Love it you see the man lighting the lights. Good vibes. Thank you for sharing. Have a great day. 🤗🥰
Thanks Nicky, you know we appreciate it 🥰❤️❤️
It's the city where I was born...
Amazing!
Good brown bread with well made fat with onion and other spices is excellent during winter time to the beer as starter. Of course well home made pickled cucumbers are the must!
The city looks amazing! But the time of your visit was way too cold I guess 🤣
I will visit Poland soon
Please do!
I've been living in Wrocław in between 2003-2006, and visiting regularly and never knew about these gas lamp guys :-) Nice to watch you two! Have more interesting trips around world.
Thank you so much!
I recommend Opole and the surrounding area as well. Bielsko-Biała and the surrounding area, Żywiec, Pszczyna, Goczałkowice-Zdrój, there is Łukasz Piszczek's BVB academy there. Cieszyn is also great. Opole is also Silesia, only we call it white, because marl is mined there and there are cement plants. Katowice and its surroundings are black Silesia, because there are coal mines there. In fact, Opole and Racibórz were the first capitals of Silesia and the Piast dynasty.

The dwarf that you said was drunk is actually deaf😅
Oh no… oops 🥲
I like the way your video captures the atmosphere of the place (my hometown!), good job!
Have you heard the two legends (there are actually many more!) related to the area around the Cathedral of St. John the Baptist in Wrocław? The story of the "dumpling gate" (Polish: legenda o kluskowej bramie) and about the head of stone in the cathedral walls (Polish: legenda o kamiennej głowie)? Try to read about them. 🙂
Amazing, fabulous and interesting ❤❤❤🎉🎉🎉
Thank you! Cheers!
Greetings from Warsaw. Poland is the best by summertime. And u need to see some nontouristic places
Thanks for watching!
Great video guys. Food looked 👌. And those gnomes, how cute are they. Loving your Poland travels.
They’re so cute!! Thanks Cindy!
Wrocław is my favourite city in Poland. I spent lots of time there. I'm chuffed that you loved it too! And you almost got the pronunciation right :-).
Thanks for watching!
@@dabbleandtravel I'm looking forward to more! Keep it up.
Not fun but fakt. Hitler decided to make Breslau [German name for Wrocław] Festung that is a fortress. In Feb 1945 Red Army surrounded the city. German command decided to built an air strip to keep connection with the Reich by air. A large area of the city center was demolished and turned into an airfield with many killings among the Germans and forced prisoners as the city was under constant bombardment. Only one plane used that strip. It was a plane with local gauleitner Hanke [nazi party leader in Breslau] who run away in the last minute before surrender to Czechia where German units still ruled the land. The Festung surrounded on 6/05/1945 4 days after Berlin after 3 months siege. 80 to 90% of Wrocław was in ruins with 100000 casualties. Ca 60000 Soviets solders died. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Karl_Hanke

Absolutely loved that city. Visited it around Christmas so I got that special vibe. Think I'll be back some day, if only to hunt for the rest of wroclowieki. So far, found and photographed just 150 of them.
P.S. Almost lost my phone to the wind on that Witches Bridge. )))
So windy isn’t it 🤣🤣
@@dabbleandtravel Good thing they sold mulled wine down on the Market Square. )))
Ha, ha, then good luck. As of today, there are 400 dwarfs in Wrocław and they are constantly adding new ones. Hurry up or you won't make it to retirement. Best regards from Wrocław.😂😂😂

Dear English friends. This bread for beer was probably with lard and lard must be salted. In Poland, bread is good. With you there is only toasted from which a ball is made in the belly and you can not digest it and make a poop. I recommend eating to Malbork. There is the world's largest brick Teutonic castle. Best regards
