    That was not a "prank." That was a genuine caller with a genuine reaction to a situation. That scream was out of anger/annoyance. That level of explosive emotional outburst is characteristic of someone who is suffering with severe mental issues.

      +Haku infinite It's an educated guess. You can try to talk with creationist, you will see that they act like they have a mental capacity of a 5 year old when it comes to logic, and when they "sense" that their thinking might be flawed they go batshit crazy like that stupid lady from the video.
      Imo it's a defense mechanism to protect their little brain from any outside opinion that might harm them.

      Typical frustration, because she can not grasp or break, logic. Her arguments were faulty and she was unable to support hem, so she screamed in frustration. When she screeched, I thought for one second that they had my ex-wife on the phone. That is exactly the kind of screech she would make, just before going all raging violence.

    • @DavidJohnson-xr2rz
      @DavidJohnson-xr2rz 8 лет назад +5

      +Pyriform
      Well sure, otherwise he'd still be dead and wouldn't have made the video.
      And, if he hadn't made the video, that would be proof that the scream at the end had killed him.
      Note: I grew up in fundamentalism and became thoroughly familiar with how the alibi system works. But the best "evidence" I ever heard for the "resurrection of Christ from the dead" was from a radio preacher, and it went like this:
      "To say that Christ rose from the dead is more than just an extraordinary claim, it would be the most unique event in all history! Nobody would make up a thing that preposterous, therefore anything that preposterous would have to be true!"
      Actually, I know personally a guy who rose from the dead. Busted all to pieces in a mountaineering accident. Declared dead in the emergency room. Several hours later they start packing him in ice, he comes to and complains, and rather than stuffing a towel in his mouth and continuing, they rush him back into emergency. He sued, the State of California got dragged into it, and the hospital's operating license was revoked.
      There are about eight "resurrections" in the Bible. All of them (including that of Jesus) are of this same kind. They had no word for unconscious or in a coma: their categories were awake, asleep, or dead. If you couldn't be roused, you were dead. For someone to come back from the dead was uncommon, but everyone knew that such things do happen. The rule of thumb was 3 days: if you've been dead for three days, you ain't comin' back.

    • @markjohnson9689
      @markjohnson9689 6 лет назад +1

      According to the bible, that 3 day criteria is only for some people. According to Matthew, when Jesus died a whole bunch of people dead a lot longer than 3 days had their tombs break open, and they came back to life. For some unexplained reason all these resurrected people waited 3 days until Jesus was resurrected to climb out of their tombs to go visit people in Jerusalem. I guess if you've been dead for a long time, you have to just kind of hang out in your tomb for a few days before you can actually go visit folks.

    "Top Ten Signs You're a Fundamentalist Christian
    10 - You vigorously deny the existence of thousands of gods claimed by other religions, but feel outraged when someone denies the existence of yours.
    9 - You feel insulted and "dehumanized" when scientists say that people evolved from other life forms, but you have no problem with the Biblical claim that we were created from dirt.
    8 - You laugh at polytheists, but you have no problem believing in a Triune God.
    7 - Your face turns purple when you hear of the "atrocities" attributed to Allah, but you don't even flinch when hearing about how God/Jehovah slaughtered all the babies of Egypt in "Exodus" and ordered the elimination of entire ethnic groups in "Joshua" including women, children, and trees!
    6 - You laugh at Hindu beliefs that deify humans, and Greek claims about gods sleeping with women, but you have no problem believing that the Holy Spirit impregnated Mary, who then gave birth to a man-god who got killed, came back to life and then ascended into the sky.
    5 - You are willing to spend your life looking for little loopholes in the scientifically established age of Earth (few billion years), but you find nothing wrong with believing dates recorded by Bronze Age tribesmen sitting in their tents and guessing that Earth is a few generations old.
    4 - You believe that the entire population of this planet with the exception of those who share your beliefs -- though excluding those in all rival sects - will spend Eternity in an infinite Hell of Suffering. And yet consider your religion the most "tolerant" and "loving."
    3 - While modern science, history, geology, biology, and physics have failed to convince you otherwise, some idiot rolling around on the floor speaking in "tongues" may be all the evidence you need to "prove" Christianity.
    2 - You define 0.01% as a "high success rate" when it comes to answered prayers. You consider that to be evidence that prayer works. And you think that the remaining 99.99% FAILURE was simply the will of God.
    1 - You actually know a lot less than many atheists and agnostics do about the Bible, Christianity, and church history - but still call yourself a Christian."

    • @option-sh9yd

      +Bob ... thats the problem, "you" consider yourself a good person, anybody can do that. "OH I think im a good person" well the other person next to you doesnt think so.... "oh no but thats his opinion" without gods existence their is no one to judge it and really your opinion isnt worth more that the other person opinion of good
      according to the bible no one can ever be good enough to enter in heaven, and even if you where, that would just mean you saying I am going to heaven because of what I have done, if im correct would be saving yourself and would make what jesus did on the cross pointless..and that is not the case he dies on the cross for all of us "you", "me" everyone.

      Bob -- good comments...maybe you didn't know this, but the "Great commandment" isn't even in the bible. I believe it's far older than that and has come in several forms. Just one: Asiatic: Do NOT do to others that which you do NOT wish them to do to you. It's less of an "active" statement that way. It means mostly, "hands off."

I'd been a good mother--not a greqt mother, not a perfect mother, but a good one. I'm SURE you are a good person. You just need time and practice to accept it. They were and are loosing members. That beeing said, of course there will ,probadly, always be people willing to believe in order to to follow a simpler worldview were you can close your eyes and put fingers in your ears and everything will seem fine, just as there will always be people who view organized religion as an great tool to gain power and wealth. But do you know what “non-believers“ (ooooh burn the witch) also said since forever? That religion will not be the status quo forever and its not, not anymore. Consider that atheism in places such as Russia, the eastern Bloc, China Cuba and others have tried to forcefully run down the Church but couldn't do it. Also hasn't the spiritual vacuum that Atheism has created elsewhere (like in Western Europe) caused more trouble that is has solved, that less savory faiths like Islam are forcing their way in? There is that side of things here and the can't be scoffed at.

    There is one other option aside from her being murdered. It is possible (and the most likely) that she screamed, because she now believes that he rose from the dead. It terrified her.

    It was later confirmed that this was NOT a prank. The woman was attacked by her ex-boyfriend who was hiding in her house at the time of the call. Sadly she succumbed to her injuries and died 2 days later. It’s a really tragic case and my thoughts are with her family. I can’t imagine how terrifying it must be to hear this audio knowing what’s happening on the other end.

    Holy shit, I just about pissed myself. Sounds like I'm not the only commenter who thinks that was a genuine scream, possibly unrelated to the call. What if they found out later that someone broke into her house and killed her? Christian groups would go nuts. They'd say she was killed because she was talking with Atheists. Or that it's because they were Atheists that she didn't care she was being killed, and that if she'd been on the phone with a Christian show, she would've been saved.

      In chinese kung fu novels, there's this logic called "zhou huo ru muo" ( or 走火入魔) ... it happens usually when a kung fu practitioner is so fully concerntrating in his kung fu meditation that if anyone is to suddenly say or shout something that upsets their concerntration, they will go into a seizure and end up losing their mind or years of kung gu inner strength .. some end up dead or paralysed ..
      It sounds like this woman is so fully into practising christianity that she just went zhou huo ru mo when met with the logic of the atheist host ..

    She screamed because she realized anyone could have applied that "logic" of resurrection to literally anyone else and it suddenly becomes meaningless as a miracle.
    "When everyone is special, no one is."
    It shattered her glass bubble and made her think for the first time, and theists are often afraid and discouraged from doing that.
