I think this is the first postive vlog i have seen in a long time for electric vechile as so many challenges due to less chargning points and power failure, etc etc..

Awesome video. Was a nail biter watching you guys drive from goa to kolhapur. Hats off to you guys for undertaking such a trip in an EV. I wish the govt watches this video and takes note of the lack of infrastructure along the highways. No doubt the future is ev but I don't see this becoming mainstream in india at least for another 5 years. I do south goa to pune in 9 hrs, so 12 hrs is pretty decent for an ev. The real problem arises when hotels/resorts don't have the necessary infrastructure to support and in the case of an emergency stop and ask local joints for a plug. That being said, keep vlogging, loving every bit of it... so what next guys, Pune to Ladakh?

Great, just watched the to and fro journey. Nice real time review along with the hiccups faced and how you overcame.
If it gives 230kms per charge which costs around 550 Rs, then a CNG vehicle like a Ertiga will cost 400 Rs and give similar range and no stress of charging , can run on Petrol till one gets CNG pump and the cost of the vehicle is 10.5 lacs where as Nexon EV is 15 lacs so the saving of 4.5 lacs is huge with similar fuel cost
If you charge at home it costs around 210 to 350 depending on the per unit charges in your city !!! Also you get subsidy n tax refunds with electric car and the biggest plus point is that you can charge it anywhere not like cng which is not available everywhere!!!
after watching so much hectic experience ill be even ok with Petrol car.. Till the charging stations increases at least all over maharashtra
@@yashk3965 Fast charging ki cost bhi bahot hai... nearly 600 rs to charge a Nexon, as seen in many videos... usme car 200. km chalti, 4 rs km.
Diesel nexon 25 ka average deti hai agar diesel 100 rs bhi ho jaye to it will be rs 4 per km.
Aur Charging ka timepass bhi nahi.

Which hotel provided EV charging option in Goa
My diesel Tata tiago gives 24kmpl mileage and in today's scenario pune to panaji and back happens in only 3500 Rs. With AC on and in 6-7 hours max

1. If you don't have earthing. In earlier video there was some juggad with screw driver, please share more details on it.
2. Extension board suggestion & rating required.
3. Charging unit count plug. Wipro Or other available in market.
4. Effect on charging due to idle time.
Same tricks can be used for charging at home but usually the car companies come and do a proper setup for you all so you don't have to worry about earthing and stuff ...

You are travelling with AC off ; and speed of 50kmph ... Usse achha bail gadi le lete vo to electricity bhi nai khaati..
Aur charging stations ke udar itna costly stay / lunch/ breakfast faltu ka karneka usse achha petrol aa jata un paise me aur time bhi bachta...
Aur aapke paas itna paisa aur time hai stays ke liye to petrol nahi parvadta kya ?
Does the AC work as effectively as in IC cars? How long is the stock charging cable?
Hey yes it's the same as regular cars ... cord is around 1 meter long will still check n reconfirm
In a hilly state like nagaland where some portions road conditions are not good, plus upward climb, how much can the ev cover in kms
Also if we go. Downward we definitely apply brakes constantly so how far does it helps to charge the battery
Hope you have seen the first vlog pune to goa ... we have covered down hill brakes regeneration in it !!! Depending how long the down hill is you'll get regen we got almost 4 to 5 % charge in our trip . In the end of this vlog we have mentioned up hill down hill and regular mileage also
@@NoiseFaktory however the hilly terrians in northeast like nagaland is very different compared to other states and plus no charging station so far. That is a big issue as of now. Would love to see a vlog on hilly terrain highway to see how much mileage it can give . really enjoyed the informations of your trip

You said in ur q&a.. Except for toll u did not paid for charging.. But as it's a EV zero emissions vehicle it does need to pay Toll right.. Because that's the reason if u buy ev u dont pay for FastTag like other vehicle.

I have booked too and planning from Mumbai to Goa with Family. I am not sure how to deal Kolhapur Goa distance as you guys were in red battery mark. Any idea or update on chargers coming. My current plan is to use a hotel for slow charging as last resort
Hey from mumbai u can come to pune n charge in aundh area n u can directly leave for karad n charge there…we have shown everything in our videos from which point to point we have charged…the battery from Kolhapur to goa was on red coz we were trying with ac on n all, so for a safe side when u leave from Kolhapur turn off your ac …but we don’t recommend to travel with family on a longer route

What will happen if battery discharged on highway? Any domestic connection will work or we have to find next charging station? I am not planning any long distance because of such issues. Pls suggest
At Tata Motors showroom, they said they will give road side assistance within 15 minutes and could help you charge your vehicle atleast to reach till next charging point. Not sure how much true it is though.
Hey Tata motors have mobile charging vans but in how much time they'll reach depends on your location !!! Also yes you can charge anywhere from a domestic socket in case of energy please watch vlog 2 for tips on how to charge at random locations

Not sure of Android auto, but in an android mobile using maps; if navigation is on the network doesn't make any difference (only real time traffic and rerouting will be impacted if network is gone)
We started the maps on alternate android phone too had issue there also
@@NoiseFaktory cannot start navigation on phone when the network has gone. But when there is full network with internet that time the navigation shud be started, during navigation drop in network wont impact the ongoing navigation. Be careful next time

Hey you can use PlugShare to find out the locations and when you know which one you wanna go to use that companies app to find status and charge
CNG+Petrol is the only viable and cost efficient option as of now. Until Indian Govt and businesses set up electric charging infra, it's still a gamble and not advisable to travel long distance with family, in city its irrelevant.

As far I know toll is absolutely free for electric car. But you mentioned in the video with toll and charging we cost this trip for 2000/-. Did you pay for toll?

Since for full charge of car =, it would be 32 Units...
When we did the trip charging at Tata fast charge stations was free ... right now they are charging around 112₹ for 15 mins ... pls watch the complete video have explained it in detail
You need to look at watt per kilometer. The # of km is just an estimate. Actual value is number of km in a kw or watt per km. Lower the watt per km farther you can go.

Really nice video but to be honest if it would have been me with family my heart beats would have been at the top until I would find a charger. :-) , U guys were lucky that the electricity at MG showroom went off after you charged at 30%, it would have been quite tricky situation if there was no electricity when u reached there at 6%..The EV world has still a long way to go in terms of infrastructure.

Hey bro it's takes around 7 hrs at home and at fast charge around 60 to 80 mins depending on what is the percentage of battery when you put it on charge
Google map is really bad, many problems you'll face in long drive specially in remote areas.
Keep secondary Microsoft Maps in phone.
sir i am planning to buy an EV in next 4-5 months MG has just announced that they are working on 500 km range model of ZS EV my budget is 21 lakh or so, please guide me should I wait for NEXT year or go and bus ZS EV right away
If zs 500 km is launching soon then wait for it ... but we are not sure if it will be in 21 lakhs as now also top end model is around 25 lakhs ... would suggest wait till Diwali we are sure new cars will come by then and you might get great Diwali offers

Hey do check other vlogs we have done a trip with 4 people on board n full luggage ... it will effect your mileage a bit but if you drive without sudden acceleration and decent speed it should not effect your mileage much

Depending on your battery percentage ideally 1% in approx 1 mins is what we have calculated ... total explanation in vlog 3 pls do watch it till the end
After watching Ur vlog, it's confirmed that Only 100 km (two ways) trip we can do with family in EV....
Then it's better to have diesel car at present...
Once the enough Charging station available on the highways then it's better to shift to EVs...🙏

None of the ev don't charge when the car is running it has to be parked to start charging!!! As of now the infrastructure is still developing for long routes once it's done I don't think there'll be any tension !!! Pls check other vlogs for more details..

Hey it depends what's the battery percentage when you start charging on an average an hour on fast charge and 7 hrs on slow charge
Why u don't use tata charging station?
So all the charging points that we used are of Tata only , they have installed there units at these locations even at Mg showroom
What would be the mileage in night time. As headlights and tail lights would take additional battery.
Lights don't hinder the average as they have a different dedicated battery
How about keeping a genset as backup? :-d
