Colm is one clear example of why you should only laugh at those "academics" who say voice dishomogeneity is a killer defect. The variety and the multitute of colors he can pull off with the uniqueness of his instrument is incredible and produces amazing results. Of course he will always sound completely different from somebody like Bobby, whose voice is the polar opposite; clean round elegant, with natural beauty that sounds just perfect from a more classical point of view, but that is hardly a bad thing. Jonathan works as a good middle ground between the two with a commanding performance, despite the fact that he is probably more of a heavy baritone than a bass. I honestly don't think anyone could do much better than this.

Does Colm lower his larynx and then sings from chest?

@@LastDawnReactions but how does that help him get the low notes?

@@Golfilitos lowering his larynx is how he gets lower but as for those really low chest note there's many ways to get that low but for him its a combination of a "wide" throat and a large range of breath and knowing how you can use all of those together to make the deeper sounds. I'm hoping to get a video setup with him to get all the answers that people ask

@@LastDawnReactions makes sence but when I try to sing like that I don’t feel it in my chest as much and I don’t really know how to ”progress”
