Thanks Chandler. But I was confused for a while why my RED CANON CAMERA icon only had 5 tabs.......and yours had 10 tabs. Eventually I figured out that I should have had my camera set to M for manual. When I did that, I then got 10 tabs. I don`t think you mentioned that in the video, but for newbies like me, such simple things are often not obvious. Anyhow, I just wanted to share this in case someone else had the same naive problem, like me. Best!
when you say banding, you are actually referring to rolling shutter which is different. Banding occurs when shooting in artificial lighting usually when your frame is lit but LED lights. In outdoor natural lighting, you will see no banding, but you may see warped elements in your Fram which may be moving very fast as your sensor readout is too slow to keep up.
there is a first Curtiain shutter that is mechanical but no it is not full mechanical shutter. so you do have a something that will show unless you put it in full electric shutter, ill leave another comment with a video linked so you can see what I'm talking about
ruclips.net/video/zDHR52bq3k0/видео.html take a look here, at around the 7:30min mark it'll explain what the electronic first Curtain shutter is. thanks for watching
In my testing out makes or breaks the number of shots you get, Bluetooth makes almost no difference but turning of the wifi is what makes you gain a ton of shots and to do that requires you to turn on airplane mode
How is your camera setup then? I have WiFi-settings: enabled in the menu. But that doesn't mean the wifi radio is on. On the status symbols on the screen the WiFi icon has an "OFF" symbol. So it's not on by default and doesn't draw power. I setup the initial connection by following the guide in the app, not from the camera. I don't have it set to transfer pictures automatically in case that causes your WiFi to be active from camera start? Edit: Or those Image.cannon cloud upload cause the camera to use WiFi automatically? I haven't used that. I just know I don't need to use airplane mode to have the camera be calm and not do WiFi.
@subwarpspeed im not saying that your wifi is on. Im saying that by default it is and to turn off all communication options, you put it in airplane mode. Thats what i have found to give me the best results. If you have found a way to get better results for you, then use them. I shoot on this camera everyday. These are what i have found to work for me the best and im sharing it with others. With these settings in photo mode i only go thourgh ussually one to one and half batteries a day instead of before when i could easily go thourgh all 3 of my batteries in a few hours. Thanks for watching

handsome guy
You forgot to explain that only 1st Elec. Courtain will offer 14bit RAW.. the Elec. will give only 12bit.
this is a very good point and I will say for lower light stuff that is important. thanks
so you are saying we can get 800 to 1500 shots per battery with these tips?
That's typically what i would get
Lp 17 battery

Bluetooth in standby or connected doesn't draw much power. Airplane mode doesn't affect the number of shots like this makes it out to be.
