This was "Tony the Tiger" GREAT!!! I enjoyed this short sandwich of wisdom.
When my daughter was just a little girl (30 plus years ago), we used to read one proverbs each day. This went on for a while. That is such a great book, full of wise nourishment. Many of the communication principles I use today are a direct result of soaking up the "biblical" Proverbs.
Listening is such a powerful tool and weapon. It's unfortunate more people don't utilize it. I intentionally refuse to engage in foolish and stupid arguments about anything:
Religion
Politics
Sports
Even the debates between our beloved Christian content creators
Don't get me wrong. I will open my mouth and contend for the faith and sound doctrine with great conviction. I am just not going to argue with you about anything.
As soon as I detect that the conversation is heading into an argument, I shut up and get out of the car. Yes indeed. And I feel so content in my silence, knowing that God is still working and speaking.
As I close. LOL I will drop these 3 nutritious nuggets.
1) Starting a quarrel is like breaching a dam; so drop the matter before a dispute breaks out. Proverbs 17:14
2) Don’t have anything to do with foolish and stupid arguments, because you know they produce quarrels. 2Timothy 2:23
3) ...avoid foolish controversies and genealogies and arguments and quarrels about the law, because these are unprofitable and useless. Titus 3:9
