The next 4 are significantly larger but the stories seem to fly by once you start reading. The tone of the books became more adult as the characters and readers aged.
@@itsgem__I've never had that problem but my sister does. Just treat it like any other book. Since you're a chapter reader it should be easier to just concentrate on one chapter at a time as you usually do and before you know it you're at the end.👍
I just came across your channel through this video! I'm happy you are enjoying Harry Potter! I can't wait to hear the rest of your thoughts on all of the books!
8:06 JK Rowling mentioned in an interview that while she was interviewing Chris Columbus for directing the movies, she asked him, "who is your favourite character" and she was afraid that he was going to Ron, because according to her, Ron was always so easy to love. But to her surprise he said that hermione was his favourite and she knew that he was a good pick for directing the movies. When you will watch the movies (I know you will), you'll notice that most of the brave moments of ron are either cut or his lines are given to hermione. And this theme continued even after chris columbus left the series after the chamber of secrets. So many of the movie watchers are always asking what was the point of Ron in the series.
It makes a lot of sense that people would like Ron for the very reason of him being easy to love. I’m not sure when I will get to watch the films but I probably will watch them at some point. Im not sure how the films will compare for me against the books, however.
Surprisingly, this book and Order of the Phoenix being the most popular among the fans are my least favorite. They still very entertaining to me, but not as much as the rest. I think, partly it's because I never was a big fan of the marauders and even doesn't like them when i was a teenager. Excited for the Goblet of Fire!!!
I am open to the idea that once ive read all seven books, the one that ends up being my favourite could change. But of the ones I have read so far, this one was definitely my favourite. Im not even completely sure why, tbh. I think it has some of my favourite characters in it. The Goblet of Fire reading vlog will be posted tomorrow.
The teenage marauders were bullys but were exceptionally talented as well. I felt that I needed more of the marauders in the books, especially in the order of phoenix. I read the story of James and Sirius on a motorbike coming face to face with two muggle policemen. Absolutely loved it. JK Rowling wrote it and explicitly mentioned that she is not working on this storyline any more. It was just of 2 pages.
I read the books as a child (I think I was around 10) and, although you enjoy basically anything at that age if you’re into fantasy, even my little mind had big issues with some major plotholes that are build into the world itself. Also, the world doesn’t really feel alive much. It’s such a small world for the characters themselves and that’s fine when you write a story focused on academia, but the writer hints at so much more things that never get fleshed out or spoken about later in the books. Besides all of this, the main villain, to me, felt incredibly lacklustre. He is basically evil itself but all he does are some vile actions that any evil wizard could do. No spoilers and you should definitely finish the books, this is just my personal take
Thank you for sharing your thoughts and experience reading the series. And thank you for the no spoilers. I purposely put these vlogs out a little after reading each book so no one could spoil certain things. Im currently reading OOTP! Its interesting to hear the different perspectives people have.
Haha! Which theory makes you think I am cheating? I mentioned in the first vlog that I knew certain things (characters, places etc.) but I wasn’t aware of the actual plot of the series or subplots in each book. I think reading the books as an adult is a very different experience to reading as a child.

Yes. Im having big book fear with OOTP! I can definitely sense a tone change for sure!!

That is so true! Thank you. I’m going to keep that in mind!!

Do you think that harry is gonna survive??? 😅😅😅
I do think he will survive yes!!!
Cmon.. you are cheating. No way you can be right in almost every theory of yours...
