I'm so glad i stumbled onto your YT channel ! It's a treasure trove of useful info! Really good food for thought for anyone wanting to start up or buy a campground Thanks again and keep 'em coming! :)
Our office and store are the same building. So whoever is manning one is doing both. Things happen in waves. Sometimes one is too many and sometimes 3 isn't enough. It's just the way it is. As far as hours we are "open" 10 - 6 M-S and 10 -4 on Sun. We could stay open longer, but don't feel selling another t shirt or coffee mug is worth having a little time off. That is one of the perks of owning your own. You get to make those decisions.
We looked at a place that had a snack bar before we bought this one. We didn't have any background in food service and didn't want to spread ourselves to thin. I'm sure it would work in the right location. Just my opinion, but a bar could be trouble. Unless you were adult only and had a party atmosphere to your campground.
Do you think that an accountant, or an attorney provided you with more information about zoning/coding? I am wanting to build a campground, but as you have said, that can lead to red tape & headaches. So, I am definitely getting detoured from that idea but it is still in the air.

I am glad you think they are helpful. I have slowed down considerably. I will put one out every now and then just to keep everyone guessing.
Ty for your content.
How do you staff your store? What hours to you typically keep it open?

Do you think that if you were to have a restaurant or bar (managed by someone in that industry), could either be successful?

Sorry, but I'm not sure. They could be a big help or just an addition waste of money if they don't approve your campground.
Go to your local zoning dept first. Start there.
I just am not sure exactly where the land will be that I plan to purchase, that’s the issue
@@cjpthompsonful It is a big and scary decision at least for us it was. Good luck.
Those wind chimes are terrible for the audio :(
Sorry. If you watched my first one I never mentioned that I was a videographer. They are what they are.
