  • In this video I construct a quick McCabe Thiele diagram as quickly and simply as I can to help you through this task. If you're generating one for a report or written coursework this method is great for you. If you need to make a McCabe Thiele and submit the excel file then check out some of my channel's other videos for a more in depth approach.
This covers the construction from the VLE equilibrium through the TOL (Top Operating Line) and BOL (Bottom operating line) constructions, the q-line and tray/plate constructions. To result in a final McCabe generated from the equilibrium data.
As always, I hope this comes in useful.
    All the best -Unirefined.

if you move the chart everything gets missed up, is there a way to draw on the chart?

There is a way you can make the plates on the scatter plot, although it will take longer. Otherwise, you can just group the drawn lines and make sure to select the grouped components when moving the object

How do you construct the data from scratch?

you are typically using Antoine constants to calculate the partial pressures of two components, a and b at different temperatures. Please see here ruclips.net/video/4dJnoUzpFzM/видео.html

    what’s the meaning of “q”?

    • @uni-refined-chemicalengine9975

q refers to the feed quality. So saturated liquid or saturated vapour for example. q = 1 = saturated liquid, q = 0 = saturated vapour
