I am not a fan of white on white on white... so these pops of color bring so much life to your spaces for me. I love the florals on the pillow and valance. And the color of the under counter florals in the basket is one of my favorites. I have a huge round navy blue ceramic pitcher with a raised bird and vine motif filled with hydrangeas in that burnt orange. It makes my kitchen counter pop!

@@MonicaRoseDecorI had a sofa with back cushions like yours. I bought enough 4” thick upholstery foam to cut for each cushion. I cut about 2” less than the full size of the pillow and then used the original stuffing to put on the outer perimeter of the foam and the front and back to get that full but cushy cushion look. Place stuffing on the inside bottom of the cover, place the foam in and then add all the stuffing in and around the foam, I overstuffed it. Those loose cushions held up so well that a few years later, when we moved and we downsized, I sold the sofa and the person who bought it couldn’t believe the sofa was 12 years old!

The sheer simplicity of the wreath on the China closet is the best. It comes across as the star of the show! Great job of hiding the drooping back pillows on the sectional.
Oh Monica everything looks so lovely. You have such a good eye. The valence does indeed look better shorter and using a garland over the rod is ingenious. I agree about fresh flowers. They may not last very long but they bring such joy into a room. Nicely dkne.

After years of fighting to do the same with fall leaves/garland on my mantle, as they would fall off or wouldn’t lie correctly, my husband cut me a board to fit the mantle top. I painted it (stained, in my case), used my glue gun to glue down the greenery, added some flowers and viola! Each year I simply bring it out of storage, put in place, and decorate from there.

Absolutely love the picture above your stove. I have the exact same one that I purchased from Hobby lobby also last year. It looks so pretty above your stove. I have a built-in microwave above my stove so I have leaned mine against the two little cabinets above the microwave. It does not get in the way of the exhaust fan built into the microwave. I had it there all during the summer from June to August. I will be replacing it with two beautiful fall small wreaths in the oranges and greens from Hobby lobby putting them on command strips.
I stock up on Mrs. Meyers Peppermint and Acorn Spice for winter and fall: dish soap, hand soap, the large container of all purpose cleaner to mix up myself. Otherwise, I make my own citrus vinegar cleaner: I have a 64oz Weck jar where I add all my lemon, lime and orange peels and sprigs of Rosemary in it, then add distilled white vinegar until the liquid is about 1-2” from the top, close the lid and let sit on my counter for about 2 weeks, then strain into a clean jar using cheesecloth, then put the cleaning solution into a 16oz amber glass spray bottle as needed for cleaning. I usually have another 64oz jar started later in the week as we use a lot of citrus fruit weekly, so I rarely run out my cleaner. Another disinfecting cleaner I make is with 70% rubbing alcohol- add to spray bottle, add 4 drops of original Dawn dish detergent and if you want a scent, any essential oil, about 10 drops.

I've done that and actually used old pillows or cheap pillows from Walmart

That’s exactly what I did with my vinegar cleaner! I only used orange peels though.
