So even though you play guitar you use a VST virtual guitar? Why? Is that just for the work flow while writing songs?
I definitely see the convenience when writing/demo'ing. It's consistent, you can modify riffs without having to re-record, it can be tied in with songwriting tools, and you may not always have a real guitar available. I have real guitars but I'm shopping for a virtual one to help with writing. I still plan on recording the real one when it comes time for the final product.
