There's an interesting fact why he used the Dark Beam over the Light Beam, despite the contrary to popular belief, the Light Beam does not actually do more damage to Dark Samus. This is due to Dark Samus being a life-form that was born in the normal (light) dimension, therefore the Dark Beam will hurt her slightly more.

Dark Samus is from the light realm despite being "Dark" Samus.
Unfortunely, Dark Samus is "Light" creature. It is unbelieveable, I know.
Dark Beam deals more damage than light.

in that point i have 74% of the items in hard mode. i guess you dont know where at the other items.
