- Complete walkthrough of one of my favorites, Metroid: Zero Mission. All missiles, super missiles, energy tanks, power bombs, power suit upgrades/abilities, and chozo statues are found/obtained in this walkthrough. This walkthrough is completed in normal mode which has 50 missile tanks (5 in each tank for a total of 250), 15 super missile tanks (2 in each tank for a total of 30), 9 power bomb tanks (2 in each tank for a total of 18), and 12 energy tanks. Please note that the amounts listed above will change in Hard difficulty mode. This is NOT a speedrun.

I love this. Metroid is all about exploring. The time stamps you made let me play the game, and find what I need when I have to. This is the best way to get help with metroid, without following a guide step by step. (Which isn't fun).

I honestly hate using guides to play games. But I've been getting stuck consistently while playing this. Thank you for having a well spaced out timestamp video so I don't have to follow a guide 1 to 1 and feel like an even bigger dumbass.
I don't know how I feel about this game. It's fun, but being totally blind and starting the series, I'm getting pretty frustrated with needing to reference guides so often. I guess that's just how games were I guess.

how do you maintain the speedboost charge at 43:21?
You press down to retain your charge it only works though if you don't hit any walls that aren't breakable with speedboost
I just love he new brinstar theme it just feels so much grander
1:51:20 you maintain the shine spark alive while you move through different platforms and also morph ball to keep it alive until the next room to obtain an energy tank. Once you shine spark and perform the thrust (press A + any direction while shine spark) how do you stop it in order to keep jumping to the next platform and take the shine spark into the next room to get the energy tank. I've tried pressing A to stop it but it does nothing. It only stops until it hits a wall.

You need to press down/crouch to store the speed energy. If you noticed, there were slopes. This will make samus start running again in which you can now press down/crouch store the speed energy. You can only store the speed energery when samus is running, not flying.

It's an optional early way, you get it later on normally, could potentially be a sequence break option

Managed to do it. Theres like two frames to do the command. Takes more practice than any other shinespark puzzles in the rest if the franchize or this game. Thanks anyways.

It's a walljump. Got to press the D-pad button in the same direction as the wall when you touch it, and then immediately press the button in the opposite direction to launch yourself away from it
They can be chained and are pretty useful, especially for sequence breaks

Run then hold down for shine spark then double tap down again to turn into the ball then ball jump and hold the direction you want to move it sounds hard but it’s really easy
2:11:29 just spin while in the spine spark mode as that is way easier than to pull off this move.

Its an ability that is introduced in previous metroid games as a special ability (that you have to earn through a boss fight or something) and they decided to include it in zero mission as well. Most people don't know about it and it is pretty stupid that it isn't mentioned in the game itself...
So question remain how do you speed through walls as a morph ball?
@@dri_him You need both the long jump (which also grants you the ability to morph ball hop) and the speed booster. You use the morph ball hop in place of jumping to activate the shine spark

I never understood Zero Mission until I stepped back and took a good long look @ it. Great remake for it's day.
Maybe one day…maybe one day we will see an fps remake of this game. I still think super had a more dynamic environment. Then again eventhough it is much older they had more capability with the SNES than the GBA

Still my favorite Metroid of all time! I've beaten it so many times that I lost count! Amazing soundtrack excellent gameplay spectular graphics! This game reminds me of The Stargate movie!

I've played Zero Mission on the Wii U VC and almost beaten it, got to the very end. Now playing it on Switch too, as well as Fusion, and Prime Remastered. I played Dread but couldn't beat the final boss Raven Beak, he was insanely hard.

"Keaton always said "I don't believe in God, but I'm afraid of him." Well, I believe in God, and the only thing that scares me is 1:51:30" (and I've platinumed all soulsborne games).
If anyone else is struggling with that bit, you can make it marginally easier by skipping the last (upper left) plateau and jump directly up to where you morph ball. It's still hard as hell, but at least it's one less step to worry about.

@@bivokervolt8945 tienes que usar la super velocidad (se activa sola, solo sigue avanzando en linea recta), pero antes debes abrir la puerta para que no te cancele el movimiento, en cuanto cargue la otra habitación, presionas abajo, para que se "guarde" el impulso, regresas a la otra habitación, avanzas hasta la parte baja del terreno, disparas a la puerta, te transformas en morfoesfera, saltas y presionas hacia la izquierda (todo eso rápido porque se pierde el boost)
Eso solo para el misil, aún no se cómo se llega al súper misil (y no se porque a nadie en Nintendo se le ocurrió meter un tutorial para esto)

I don't know if you got through it since it was multiple days ago you posted this, but if you hold down while charging then you'll keep it.
Once you break the first wall and hit the slope, it starts acting like the ball is sprinting, if you press down to charge shine spark again you can then move back to the dip, and fire the shine spark again to continue to the super missile.
My potato brain can't handle the inputs at full speed so I had to use a Emulator with slow motion mode just to figure it out, insanely impressive that people could figure that out at full speed

Just a tip for those at 43:05 when you are charged in the morph ball, jump into the air and press left on the dpad to go through the blocks.
I was able to do it, but I'm still trying to figure out how he is able to stay charged for that long and go across various rooms to get the super missile 🤷

I can get Samus to hold a charge, run back into the previous room and open the door again then turn into a ball but my charged ball just bounces left it never does that charge. What am I doing wrong?
43:30 , HOW, IVE BEEN TRYING FOR A FUCKING HOUR
Someone needs to explain to me how you chain together Shinesparks in ball form like he does around 43:18. I can't do it. I see it, i've tried repeatedly to replicate it so I can get my damn Super Missiles, but I always lose my charge after the first one.
I think while I was watching that part I was able to analyze it really good.
So, After gaining enough speed from the speed Booster, quickly press down to hold the speed you gained and keep your momentum. Samus should be in glowing state while in her ducking animation as well as her morph ball mode. Quickly jump in morph ball mode and press in the direction you want to go. For the 2nd shine spark, Quickly jump again and press in the direction you want to go. I believe according to what I saw, This can be done repeatedly if timed right.
1st: Speed Boost, Then Morph Ball Mode.
2nd: Jump, Press a Direction.
(Just going by what I saw. TL;DR: Manual Boost Ball)
They really pushed it with those shining spark only hidden upgrades 😂

The final boss of this game wasn't mecha ridley. It was those 2 fucking space pirates at the very end. I had to beat mecha ridley 3 TIMES because of them. I only escaped with 4 hp left. I'm so mad.

The game is officially now on Switch Online wish they could bring the Disney GBA stuff to the NSO like Lilo & Stitch, Kim Possible, and more games like Medal of Honor or Dragon Ball Z Legacy of Goku 1 & 2 to the playable series……since this game brings back my childhood days alongside Super Mario Advance, DBZ Legacy of Goku 1 & 2, Pokemon, Disney series because I been playing those stuff on my cousins GBA SP since when I was 4 to 5 and a half years old during my childhood times when my Kuya Joben & Uncle Robert used to play Original Xbox during my days of being a small kid before going to Kindergarten in mid 2005 since Halo is one of the original Xbox titles that my Uncle Robert & Kuya Joben used to play before Metroid Zero Mission

Hey, why are you shooting the Metroids _ONLY_ from below? Like, even if you freeze them beside you, instead of killing them you step away, freeze them again but just above you, and THEN kill them. Do they drop better items or something like that? Thanks

@@ZEBASS as far as I can tell it's either a lack of knowing they can be shot at ANY angle or it's along the lines of the old Pokemon trick we all tried back in the day of holding up & B believing it increased catch rates...🤔
In my headcannon, Chozodia and Chozo Ruins are missing in Super Metroid because of two reasons, first the Pirate Mother Ship explosion, second an Earthquake that was triggered by the moving tectonics of Zebes
Another headcannon of mine is that Wrecked Ship is actually Pirate Mother Ship, they both feature the same enemies, even though one of the directors and one of the developers said that they are two totally different things (I don't think so, they were not the writers)
