This is amazing and I have spent all day making these. Thank you. I made a little adjustment though. If you chain 7 in row 7 instead of three, and in row 8 you sc 3 in between the two chain 8 (instead of 2) , in row 9 do 7 DC instead of 6 you will get your 19 stitches in row 10 ☺️
Hi Tiffany Hansen right now I am working on my cottage core mosaic blanket and granny squares blanket and you did a great job on your skulls squares and I love your channel and your videos and if you keep making videos I will keep watching them and what is your favorite crochet project to work on right now and favorite types of yarn to used when crocheting and keep up the great work on your RUclips channel
Thank you for sharing another great pattern! I have some ombré like multicolored yarn like this. I think I will try this and turn it into a Day of the Dead skull 👍🏻
Thank you! A year ago I designed a patten for a pillowcase for my son in the granny square skull. Your work is Beautiful! Can wait to try your design.🦋
Thank you soooooo much for this coolest crochet skull pattern 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉it was so easy to follow you and mine came out so cool🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉I love all you videos/ tutorials 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊
This is awesome! I was wondering if you could make a bat 🦇 tutorial? Not in a granny square though! Kind of like an appliqué but bigger than the ones that are out here now! My daughter wants me to make her some but I can’t find a good one! Please and thank you ❤😊 Also, it would be right handed!
What a cool project idea Emma! A large crochet Bat Applique. Unfortunately I am already over booked with the tutorials I am working on. But what I would do to figure this out would be to find a basic shape of a bat that you like. Figure out what shapes you would need to accomplish specific parts and what stitches could help you achieve that look. You might even take a bat pattern that is already made, see how they made all the details of the work, how they constructed the bat in the pattern, and then see if you can enlarge the pattern to the size you want. I wish I could be more help. Best wishes on you adventure figuring this out. 😊🧡🧶
Do you meen filigree not filay? Filay is a slice of fish or meat, filigree is lace like, perhaps us Australians say things differently? Love this pattern ca not wait to make a heap in all different colour ways for Halloween. ❤
Haha I see what you mean. Actually it's Filet. The Crochet Filet stitch technique is a very specific technique where you crochet basically a netting type stitch but create a picture by filling in certain squares in the netting. It's super cool and there is a lot you can do with it! Definitely check out Crochet Filet patterns to see what comes up. 😊🧡🧶
My daughter and her husband just bought a 150 yr old house and one of the upstairs bedrooms their dog will not go into it. He sits outside the door and growls. I will make a blanket with the skull squares for her "haunted " room.
Love Fall but not in to Halloween. I did play this and like it for you and, I like the technique you used to make this project. Thanks for all you do for our craft!😘
Ooohhh, That sounds AWESOME!!! Please, please, please share a picture with me when you have finished this project. OK, Here is how I would tackle the dimensions. Take a piece of paper and draw out the shape you want your poncho to be. Then mark the length and width dimensions you are wanting. Take the length and divide it by the length of the skull square itself. Then decide if you are fine just adding the 1/4 inch join between each square to meet or just go over you desired length. Then do the same for the width. If you want more room between skulls maybe add one or two rows of a single crochet border to go around each square. One Sc border adds approximately 1/2 inch to the length and 1/2 inch to the width per border row. Then join the squares together. Doing the work on a piece of paper before you begin will help SO MUCH!!!! Really set yourself up before you begin so you don't experience frustration later. Hope this helps!!! Have Fun!! 😊🧶❤️
Gotcha, The pattern is the exact same whether you are changing colors or using one solid color. Refer to the diagram for when you would color change but work the exact same stitches. You can also refer to the video tutorial to see when the colors change. I had to take out all the color changes in the pattern where I wrote out when to change colors because it added a whole page and a half to do so. You don't do anything different, just change color.
This looks amazing it is the best skull pattern I have seen i love it thank you so much for all the time you put in to creating this and making the videos 😀❤️🇮🇪😀☺️
That is a great question Rebecca! I wouldn't, that will be a lot of work and it would be super tricky to make sure the knot hit in the right spot. If the Bobbin Intarsia Technique doesn't work for you I might suggest you give Stranding a try! With Stranding you carry both colors together throughout the project. You will see both colors periodically throughout the square and it wont be as defined but it might be easier for you to do the color changes. 😊🧡🧶
That's strange. Please email me Nancy so that we can get this figured out together. I will make sure you do not get charged more than once and that you get the pattern. If the paypal never went through I will work around that to work a different transaction. 😊🧶❤️
Yep. Color changing messes with a lot of people. Plus, it’s actually located in the Craft Yarn Council’s Crochet Level abilities. So I try to just prep people what level the pattern is and why.
