My first real knife was/still is a Benchmade 940. I carried that daily for several years before I became "interested in knives". I still think it's timeless and beautiful and perfect, almost more so with it's well worn aspect. For slip joints, I really like MKM and Viper.
@@DirkWerningCool man. It's kind of funky. Not like anything else. I got one for my father-in-law a couple years back for his birthday. He literally only ever carried some random keychain/pocket knife/fingernail clipper with the name of a drugstore imprinted on the side of it. Needless to say, now his 940 is a point of pride and he enjoys doing fancy things with it, like opening a pack of Lance crackers in front of his golf buddies. He's totally not a knife guy and beats the shit out of it. It's purely a tool to him, which I appreciate. And I don't mind sharpening it one bit.
Man those are BEAUTIFUL 😍

Had a 940 for awhile myself.

@ that’s fantastic.
I wouldn't give it away as a consolation prize. Hard luck stories are a dime a dozen. Buck up cupcake and hop to it.
@@ekirenrut oh do not get me wrong…. I am NOT looking for sob stories at all.
