It’s weird, but I didn’t ugly cry like many I knew did when this started to play and the long walk started… Instead, I felt a weird sense of peace and had a smile on my face, knowing that a 10+ year journey was at the end around the corner and there was just one more final thing to do. I only started playing FFXIV at the beginning of Shadowbringers so I can't comment as a veteran by any means but as someone who has put over 3500 hours into the game since that start, the song hit so hard when it happened in MSQ. Even being in Ultima Thule I get shivers and often just sit there, doing nothing, vibing in the good feels and my past with the game.
