If you want advice from an older generation, here’s my two cents. Be kind. Be loyal. Be honest. Love your friends. Cherish your partner. If you see anyone in need - help them. Help people. Volunteer. Be a good role model. Don’t spoil your children, praise them. Regardless of your past, respect your parents. Be a good son or daughter. Be polite. Be very polite. Please and thank you, goes a long way. Open doors for people. If you see someone struggling with packages help them. Be grateful. Smile. Smile a lot. Most of all, everything you do, do it with good humor.
Thank you for a reality check that money, status and fame are not the main focus in life but family, friends and supporting your local community are what is most important. Reynolds you rock!!
God bless him! He is my grandparents age and I miss them very much. My heart aches as our generations destroy this country. Our grandparents and great grandparents were better at most everything, especially running our cities and country.
Wisconsin farmers are the best. So grateful to have grown up on a small dairy farm with my big family in Wisconsin. This man reminds me so much of my grandpa.
Thank you for this. I lost my 91 year old dad in 2023. I miss his wisdom and humor every moment of every day. He is so similar to my dad. I felt like I was hearing my dad talk once again. Every word is what my dad would have said. Our veterans and elderly are precious treasures. Once they are gone we lose way too much. Please everyone glean fom him. Agreed you should get a dog too.
Wow, what a lovely man and how remarkable that he is in such good physical and mental shape! Reynolds is so sharp and positive. Jack Taylor did do a super nice job interviewing Reynolds-very likable personality!
My mom lived until she was 96. If still alive she would be 104. She was from Wisconsin also. His thoughts on life remind me of my mom, being thankful for what you have, tomorrow is a new day.
Wao the hold nation needs to listen to this wonderful men! This men can teach us what America is all about! God bless you and a million times thank you for your service to our beautiful country! Thank sir!!
Excellelent video! My dad just died at 73. This man must have lived a much healthier life with way less stress. I like watching these stories! True gentleman
⭐ Happy 107th 🎈 Birthday Reynolds. What a treasure to listen to, thank you Jack for taking the time to share such a positive interview. My Dad would have been 104 this year and I sure miss him 💗
Im 38. I waited until I was 36 to get a dog....Biggest mistake of my life was NOT having dogs before 36. Have KIDS, and Have DOGS. They teach you more about yourself, and life, than a career and money could ever. Kids and Dogs bring you PEACE. Anyone who thinks otherwise is evil, and you shouldn't trust them.
@@cheaplaughkennedy2318 I've had dogs my whole life and what you said is very true. The older you get the more you realize how special dogs are and how much they love you if you love them right. The hardest part is saying good-bye to them!
What an amazing interview! Thank him for his service. Wonderful to see this man still thriving. He was a part of the merchant marines and in World War II. My father was in the Navy in World War II & part of the Merchant Marines. He would be 110 if he was still alive. This man has a wonderful story and it was so great to hear something refreshing and wonderful and happy this morning, right now thank you for doing this Jack. And yes, you have to get a puppy. You will love it. It’ll be the memory of a lifetime for your children and your wife and you will be doing most of the puppy work. Thank again for this interview. It was wonderful to hear something happy and inspiring the first thing this morning. 🎉🎉🎉❤🎉🎉🎉 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
Such respect and admiration for Mr. Tomter. Thank you Sir for your service to your community, this country, the world. You’re an inspiration. And Jack you’re a gem. Thank you too. Takeaways for me: community, cooperation, decency, service, kindness, helpfulness, joy. 🙏💖
Love this video. Thanks for sharing. I have an uncle who is 106. He’s still sharp as a whistle and keeps active. His advice is “if you stop moving, you get soft” so exercise is important.
That good Wisconsin air and people had kept him going !!! Hadn’t hurt- that’s for sure !!! And also a huge THANK YOU for your service to my freedoms !!! Your such a treasure !!!
I enjoyed your video...I'm 48...reminded me of my grandmother we lost in 2000...keep it up young man...honest interviews are changing the media landscape, wish you all the good 👍🏽
Thank you so much for your service, Mr Tomter. My dear husband was also a WW II Vet who would now be 101 years young had the Lord not decided to take him home. Good luck and Keep On Keepin On
My great great grandmother lived to 107 as well. She was still mentally sharp. I LOVED hearing about her life. She saw so many eventful things happening in her life. It’s so important to hear our elder’s stories
Respect and honor. listen carefully for what this wonderful man has to say… life is a gift we need to appreciate the basic what we have …. Family, friends and to be good to each others.
Reynolds, what a treasure you are! My grandfather would have been 101 in July this year and this is about as close as I could get to talking to him again and I thank you sir.
No thing such as luck… life is a blessing! 107 wow! Happy Belated Birthday! Thank you for the interview. He’s right about us living in a fast pace world. Family is so important! Thank you for your service! ❤😊
Thank you for your service Reynolds and I hope you enjoyed your trip! Nice interview and good luck to finding a dog that will become part of your family.
Let me start off by saying thank you for your service to our country, sir. I'm 65 years old, and I learned something from this gentleman, which shows that you never stop learning. It was great listening to him.
Thank you for this interview. I feel like I had spent a few minutes with my grandfather. I miss him. Your interview brought him back. I agree with the other comments that everyone needs to see this.
Love this. Wish i had asked my grandma more questions. She was a rosie the riveter during ww2. Thank you for your service sir. Also a veteran however I served during the short peacetime era.
I love this! That is so true about our generation always needing instant gratification and not focusing on the good that’s happening in our lives. We are a very impatient generation. So this was a good reminder to appreciate all that we are blessed with and just having this time on this earth. You notice with all these guys that live well into their 100s, they all are people persons. Meaning they just have a general interest in others and are like social butterfly’s. He wants to stay alive because the people in his life are that meaningful to him . That’s a pretty selfless person. Probably the most imprinted trait to have.
Such a meaningful and happy interview! I want to thank Mr. Tomter for his service to our beautiful country. I also want to thank him for his good advice, and for inspiring me to look happily on growing older. I’m thankful for you, Reynolds!
I remember seeing some of your content while living up near MIllston. Great to see you keep plugging along. Interviews and real community connection is the best form of media!
I agree with Reynolds. You are good at interviewing! You keep things moving, and you ask thoughtful and provoking questions. I'm a writer and have interviewed 100s of strangers for a living. I love what I do, but there is an art to it and you are a natural! Can't wait to see Reynolds for his 108th!
What can I say, really. What a beautiful interview with heartfelt ideas for all of us. Also, I really appreciate the interviewer. He not only had thouightful, appropriate questions; he listened and kept a great, encouraging pace. Thank you! Tom
To be that cognizant and aware, and able to drive, and speak this way at 107 is literally a miracle.
I don’t know the interviewer, but you can tell he comes from a position of respect and appreciation for Reynolds. Somebody raised him right.
Does everybody that watched this want to meet him in person much as I do?!?! What a man.
Yes I want to meet him! 🇺🇸♥️
I would love to meet him ❤

This is excellent advice. Glad to see I'm not the only one out here living this way 😁
Everyone needs to listen to this interview as everyone can learn something from it. 107 years of wisdom sitting there.
Exactly you are right!!
My gosh, he does NOT look 107, AMAZING!!
I agree!!!!❤
😊🤙
This guy is smart but remember morons get old too
I'm not sure how I ran into this. It was very inspiring. Live a simple life and focus on our values. Great for our mental health.
He is sharp as a tack !
Yep, his mind is still all there. The only delay is physical speech - muscular
Excellent and inspiring interview. Amazing he's 107 years old. Very lucky man and obviously he's very grateful for his life.
Great genes, but his attitude is why he still thrives! Enjoyed it!
I'd like to shake this man's hand and just say, "Thank you!" 🫡 ❤ 🇺🇸
Thank you for your service, what a sweet gentleman.
Amazing video.....spent an hour talking to a 95 year old man at a car dealership today. Time well spent!
The older generations were better at everything because they didn't tell people what they wanted to hear and solved problems on their own!
Amazing. Ron is a true definition of a man. I salute him and his service.
This put a smile on my face.
My too
“Be good to thy wife day”! That made me laugh and cry at the same time
What a gem! Great man God bless him! Thanks for his service to our country. They don’t make them like him anymore.
